She helped a black child who was struggling with a backpack over his winter coat. Then, she did the laughing "chilly" dance with another much younger black child, perhaps a kindergartener or first grader, who was racing inside to escape the cold. Mrs. Deruki greeted two Asian sisters on their way in the front door and waved at a group of Hispanic siblings trekking down the sidewalk. Everyone was smiling, children and adults alike. As I witnessed all this from my car, I couldn't help but think about the review complaining about NDA's lack of diversity. This is not an all white school like so many other private schools in Georgia. In my child's class alone, there are Hispanic families, Asian families, mixed race families, and black families. I want my child in a school that welcomes all races and ethnicities, and honestly, that has been my experience at NDA. I cannot speak for other parents who may feel differently, and I feel sad for the mom who felt like her daughter's needs were not met. But, there must be more to that story that was not shared here on Yelp. My fear is that negative reviews calling NDA racist will scare away the very families that NDA wants to welcome to its community. Please don't be afraid. My daughter's experience at NDA has been wonderful. The academics are rigorous and the expectations are high. She has not loved every single teacher, but some teachers are adored, deeply. And that's life, isn't it? Persevere, learn, grow. Notre Dame Academy is not a perfect fit for every student, but my Colombian American daughter loves it, and she is thriving.

I take my child there and I love the place but I see that the employees need help. Their should be 2 teacher in each room instead of one or at least a part time helper in each room. I feel like the prices are more reasonable then other daycares around. I also love that they've implemented a self pay station so you don't have to wait for a staff member to take your payment. My bills are loaded on the system accurately and I can simply go and pay and email myself a receipt. They also provide great communication of changes and updates. I will keep my baby here until she's big enough to stay home herself. I'm a very happy parent :).

My daughter had to get up in front of a large class at UGA this week and was totally at ease because of all the poetry recitals they had at Perimeter. She also talked about how comfortable she is speaking to and interacting with adults because of the large presence of the parents at PCS. As parents, the school helped us focus on the hearts of our children. We got to be part of a community where we all looked out for each other's kids. Being part of a covenant community was a wonderful part of raising our kids. Our children received a wonderful foundation and were taught by teachers that love the Lord and shared this love with our kids. Our kids learned scripture and can defend their faith. They were also challenged academically and have continued to thrive academically since graduating from PCS. I'm so thankful we decided to send our kids to PCS.

I have not received my deposit, which has been owed to me since August. The daycare has cited bankruptcy as the reason, but since then there has been little to no communication, no updates on the status of my funds, and I have essentially been ignored whenever I follow up. After doing some research, I learned that I am not the only one affected. Other families have also not received their deposits, and there are even teachers who have not been paid. This raises serious concerns about how the situation has been handled. It is incredibly frustrating and disheartening to be treated this way after years of loyalty and reliability. If you are considering enrolling your child here, proceed with extreme caution. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against trusting your money--or your peace of mind--with a business that is clearly struggling and failing to communicate or take responsibility. I was bullied terribly, but that's to be expected at any school unfortunately. What made Wesleyan different is the teachers actively participated in the bullying. From slurs referring to me being gay to smirking at me while I cried in the back of their classrooms, to always being the butt of their jokes, they did it all. It was a dark time, and they actively worked to make sure I knew I wasn't cared about.

The little boy went unpunished and because I called and told the office staff my daughter was not allowed to take pictures. This is suppose to be a zero bully tolerance school. Yeah right!
