I asked for an women's undercut with feminine details and designs when I scheduled the appointment over the phone the person who took my call was extremely confident that they would be able to do right by me and even scheduling me with the person that they felt would be best to give me what I was looking for. That person ended up being the manager apparently. I showed her two inspiration pictures and tried to tell her that I wanted dialogue back and forth to give me something that fit me. But instead she was busy answering the phone and moving through the motions rather than listening to me, talking to me and clarifying what I was trying to communicate. I really wanted the back of my head to have feminine details like how the hair comes to an end in the back of my head. I should have known something was wrong when she turned me away from the mirror and started cutting my hair higher and higher. I am sh Iy by nature and didn't react while I was in the chair because I didn't want to make a scene. It's been almost a week since I got this cut and every single day has been absolutely miserable. The manager has tried to gaslight me and tell me that it was a miscommunication to tell me that I'm being ridiculous in how I feel. All I want is to be validated and to have real accountability on the salon's part. I know there's not much that could be done now but it might make things easier if the professional acted like one and had some empathy for their customers. I am now having to buy a wig just so that I can function outside of my house. My husband and I have gotten into serious fights over this haircut. And now we get to celebrate our anniversary with all this hanging over us. She didn't even give me a full haircut as she barely trimmed what hair I have left and didn't even put a style in it.
