The experience buying my new Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ last year was going great until I was left a voicemail by Dave that they would only pay for buffing of scratches and my Vermont inspection if I gave him a perfect survey. Needless to say I was very disappointed to feel i was being coerced into giving positive feedback. I didn't give a perfect survey so I therefore I never received any compensation. Here is a 6 month follow up since every post on here shows people that are happy because they're buying a new vehicle. The truck was not as it seamed and neither was the service. Once we drove it off the lot, just how much rust it had became very apparent. I'm currently trying to sell it and these guys refuse to take it back, even at their own appraisal price. Oh how I miss my Toyota! I sold the Toyota for thousands more than I paid for it. This worthless GM product I can't even give it away. I will be avoiding this dealership in the future since it's clear they only care about their clients up until they drive away and will not stand behind their products. read more

We were on vacation in NH where we felt a hesitation in our Yukon going up hills. We took it to a local mechanic who looked at it and said it was the Torque converter and told us to take it to a GM dealer since it was under warranty. Called them as soon as we found out. Brad told us to bring it up right away. It was a 40 min trip for us and he had everything ready for us. Including a loaner. They diagnosed the same thing and had it replaced and the Yukon was back to us in less than 48 hours. What a relief! And it was under warranty. Thank You Berlin City! read more

I lease a 2018 Chevy Equinox from Berlin City Chevy. I was due for inspection, tire rotation, and oil change so went there for service. This vehicle is only two years old and has 22,000 miles on it. They called me to let me know that all my rotors were compromised (nice word for corroded). They told me that GM would pay for the rotors but I would have to pay for the brake pads. I argued that the break pads would not be worn if the rotors had not corroded. They agree but continue to say that I would be responsible for the brake pads. I continued to argue so their solution is to do something to the existing brake pads to get the groove from the rotors out of the brake pads. They said this would suffice until the end of my lease which in in September of this year. Also want it to be know that we also had purchased a brand new chevy truck in 2005 and ended up putting five sets of brakes and rotors in that truck for the same issue. They told us it was because we did not use the truck enough so the rotors rusted. When we started using the truck more and had the same issues then it was because it was parked on grass and therefore the rotors rusted. All four brake jobs had different excuses. When I went to lease my Equinox in 2017 I asked specifically about the brakes on chevy vehicles and was told that they had solved all the issues that chevy trucks/SUV were having with brakes. Told them I did not want to have the same issues with this vehicle. Assured I would not have any issues with the brakes. Well guess what, I'm here with another Chevy with the same issues and again GM is not standing behind it product. I bought a 2010 Subaru from Berlin City Auto Group in Vermont. They delivered the car with bald and cupped tires. Take it to the shop to find out the alignment was way off as well and the heater shields were loose and rattling. Berlin City covered those repairs. Then a week into owning it I discovered I was burning a quart and a half of oil a week with no leaks. Had to take it back to the shop to have the pvc valves replaced. Berlin City covered those repairs as well. Then several weeks later the passenger side window stopped working and two weeks after that I couldn't put the car in reverse (6 speed standard shift). A garage confirmed I had a bad transmission!! I talked to the service manager who said I exceeded there 2000 mile bumper to bumper warranty by 5000 miles. I argued they told me they did a 130 point inspection which they clearly didn't do!! I had multiple problems with the car from week one and then at 8 weeks I have to replace the transmission! The service manger said they went "above and beyond" what they should have to help me out and the transmission replacement is on me. I left multiple messages for the general manager and Vice President of operations with no returned calls... I want to say thank you for the absolute professionalism I was shown during my entire and somewhat longer than normal buying process. I want to highlight the efforts of my salesman Jake Drouin. He was exceptional at responding to my needs and concerns, patience with the process I forced upon him as he had to deal with me while my wife was pushing me in a different direction entirely. I can tell you I have several experiences with dealerships and "out of state" vehicle purchases and Jake is without a doubt the best I have worked with! He was quick to respond to everything I requested. Jake stayed in touch with me every step of the way, even when it was looking like he wasn't getting the sale (not because of him, but because my wife wanted to look at another vehicle entirely) and stayed on top of me without the pressure of a pushy salesperson but with the respect that he wanted the sale if at all possible. I truly appreciate his efforts, including his follow-up, even after the car purchase and delivery. My vehicle was an out-of-state purchase so the communication was extremely important. Photos of the vehicle, condition, delivery all had to be handled by the dealership and Jake himself. They made me feel like I was their only customer giving me their full attention and addressing every need I gave them. My husband and I just purchased our first brand new car ever and although there were bumps in the road specially with all the craziness going on right now nevermind the fact my credit not that great and my husbands credit non-exsistant our sales rep Zak Goyner worked with us endlessly and was always so helpful and SUPER nice the entire time and with the help of the finance manager Joe they both made it happen and made it as painless as possible. When we started the process I thought for sure it was going to be a huge hassel and it would probably never happen but they made it happen no metter what they had to do. I'm wondering why all the 5 star reviews are "not recommended ". I have bought 5 trucks/suvs from the Chevy store and one car from their Kia and Honda store. Basically, I get my best price at local dealers, call Berlin city and they are able to drastically reduce the payments for the same or higher trimmed vehicle. They typically send the new vehicle down with a chase car ( typically retired , and very nice people ) to have paperwork signed and go over the features. Completely. Satisfied does not begin to describe my experience. Everyone hates buying cars but they really do live up tp their motto of "easy". read more

Wow! I called in- told Mike (Used Sales) what I was looking for & what my trade was. He researched and CALLED ME BACK like he said he would; offered me several great deals and told me what my trade was worth. We showed up- test drove our #1 choice and true to his word, we exchanged vehicles and drove off happy campers! Mike was a great guy to deal with- no surprises, no B.S., a man of his word. I researched the process for leasing a truck and went to Berlin City. Sam Sharif was my salesperson. I asked him for a truck with a dealer incentive and he found a Chevrolet Silverado right away. I needed a payment under $300 and he made it happen. You do not buy a car until finance checks your credit. My credit is good but not perfect and the monthly payment increased by $50. Berlin City was fair and honest with me and provided a 36 month lease with 12,000 miles a year. There is no security deposit. I paid a down payment which included the first months payment. Do not lease a truck for 39 months because your last three months is without a warranty. Berlin City provided me with a great no hassle deal. I recommend Berlin City and leasing. read more

Worst experience I have ever had at a dealership! After I had the vehicle for 5 weeks, paid $350 for registration, over $300 in insurance fees, got pulled over because the dealership never put an inspection sticker on the vehicle, and 2 hard inquiries on my credit score, they contact me to say they forgot a '0' on the mileage in the lease contract and they have to take the vehicle back the next day. Well apparently due to the mistake made by Berlin City, they didn't contact my employer until 5 weeks after I had taken delivery of the new vehicle. Unfortunately, I had just put my notice in at my employer and was in the process of moving and obtaining a new job, as I am expecting a baby in the upcoming months and wanted to be closer to my family. Therefore, my employer informed GM Financial that I had put my notice in and denied the lease. Had I known any of this, I would have waited a few more weeks to change jobs and move. Instead, Berlin City informed me they had to come get my vehicle the next day, refused to give me the trade-in money for my old vehicle, and instead gave me back my old non-registered, non-inspected vehicle which I now had to arrange to move 3 hours along with everything else. They were over an hour late picking up the vehicle, which made me late to a job fair I was attending, and when I contacted them on multiple occasions since the incident, they just ignore me.
