We went there had 4 tires change and they did a FREE overall inspection...After the inspection they had laundry list of problems and as someone who's been involved in automotive repairs and bodywork for a lifetime 70+ years old, I have to say these guy's are bunch hacks and jackals saying I needed a wheel bearing, battery and new cables, brake work and oil leaks...it needs none of those part's, the cars parked in side all the time an there's no oil on the floor... They think everybody dumb an they can take advantage of people...So moral of the story... BUYER BEWARE read more

We were visiting Santa's Village for the weekend when we noticed one of our tires was severely worn. Having to drive over 150 miles home we did not want to risk it with a potentially dangerous tire. VIP was the ONLY thing open on a Sunday morning. I arrived right around opening and was greeted by a very nice and helpful associate named, Dillon. Due to the size of the tires we needed they only had one option in stock. Dillon was able to work with us on price as it was a very high price point tire. Within an hour we had 4 brand new tires and we able to continue our visit to NH. In the past, I have had terrible experiences with VIP. This one was the complete opposite. They were also honest about a repair that needed to be done, did not pressure me into doing it there but just wanted to let me know. read more

I cannot say anything bad about the quality of the work. However, their markup on parts is very high. If your driving a car you don't plan on having for a long time, it would save yourself quite a bit of money by purchasing the parts and having them put them on. read more

I don't know much about car repairs, and honestly if these people took advantage of me...I would never know. What I can speak to is the image I got with my first visit: The people were kind, and took my vehicle in for last minute repairs during the holiday season when I was expecting poor weather. They provided me with several quotes and explained what they considered a priority, what made it safe to drive, and what would lead to potential problems. I got a full quote that I was able to run past several coworkers and family; and, when I returned with questions they had explanations that satisfied the group. No matter the organization, there will always be people who take advantage. Still, the ones I dealt with treated my vehicle as a priority considering the severity of the repairs and all the while they gave me as much information and time as they could. I have a steady mechanic that I will run the quotes past, but right now...I'd definitely go back. read more

On Feb 3, 2017 at 10 AM L. C., Marketing Manager & CRM Analyst of VIP Tires & Service was telephoned. It took 12 minutes to explain in detail the vandalism, sabotage, and fake repairs done to two of my vehicles, first in Littleton and then 3 years later at the Gorham, NH store. The phony 2.5 hrs labor was disputed w/my credit card company. Robert, then the mgr, who was heard authorizing this fraud, did not bother to challenge my full page letter of the facts. My payment was cancelled and restored. Just because Robert left months later does not mean the mechanics don't juice the customers. L.C. was a good listener. Apparently she did not share my incidents w/the corp office. Or they did not care. She never returned my call to explain any change(s). Nor was anything heard again. I've taken my vehicle several times to have things done here and had good luck. Twice now I've sent my 19 year old daughter to have something done to her vehicle and they've tried to take advantage of her. The first time telling her that her car needed $2800 worth of work to pass inspection (A second and third opinion showed that the car needed FAR less than what they said it needed for work. The second time, they insisted that she HAD (no, they didn't recommend, they told her it was a MUST) to replace all four of her tires, even though three were still good and she wanted just one replaced as these are her summer tires. Then they talked her into an alignment and tried to tell me that the car needed front end work (Everything was replaced new 45 days ago on her front end). So if you're a man, you may have decent luck. If you're a woman, especially a young woman, take your wallet out because they'll see you coming and assume you're not smart enough to know better. read more

Up in Jackson NH for a girls trip. My 2018 mini cooper has a flat tire...it is a run flat tire so I make it back to the Inn. I call around and either nobody has a run flat or they immediately want to sell me four new tires. I call VIP and speak to Arthur. He explains that I can have it towed to him (about 25 miles, and it's a Saturday morning.) and he will do his best to help me. He says he has two tires, not run flats, that match my other tires and if he has to replace the tire he would replace two of them with these new tires as long as my run flats that are staying on the car are in excellent condition. I have the car towed to him and three hours later he gives me the good news...there was a nail in my tire and he was able to plug it....total price $23 !! Now, Arthur could have replaced the tires and made more $$ but he was super honest and super helpful. Do not hesitate to bring your vehicle to VIP.. wish there were more people like Arthur in this world. He saved the day. read more

I blew into Gorham on a Saturday about noon with a flat tire. VIP was busy and nearly everyone was at lunch but they were great! A guy came from his lunch in the back and said, "I'll fix her tire, while she goes to lunch." Thankful is the only word I can say, as I stil had another 6 hours to drive home, by myself! I made the mistake of going to get my free tire rotation and balance right before lunch time.They said they could squeeze me in so i thought that was great. It was not, they rotated my tires but didn't balance them. Also they never informed me that one tire was wearing down unevenly. Which i didn't notice as it was in the back before they rotated them. About two weeks later i had a blow out on the tire that was wearing unevenly. How could they not notice the tire was wearing down when they had to take it off and rotate it. They are my snow tires and they have over 50% tread but now its ruined due to them not telling me my alignment was off enough to cause the tire to wear out down to the steel belt and cause the blow out read more

I went to VIP for an oil change as my oil light came on and I could not get to my usual mechanic as he had no openings. The service manager came out with a dirty air filter and I agreed to have them change it. They charged me $32.49 for the filter. The same filter can be purchased @ PEP Boy's or NAPA for $15.99 and $10.52. On top of the gross overcharge for the filter they charged me for labor as well! As with all the chain stores they are a rip off. Next time I will pay the few bucks for a quart of oil and wait for my local mechanic to change my oil. read more

I felt they were extremely honest with me about me the repair costs and best options, giving me a quote lower than what I got from a very trusty mechanic in Somerville. I stopped in a few months back for an oil change. I appreciate that they are able to provide service without having to make an appointment, because I never know when I am going to have time in my schedule. I didn't have to wait a super long time, so it worked out well. After my car was being worked on, a technician came out to indicate that my car would benefit from an fuel system service. He provided information and a visual aid to help in my decision. He indicated my car would run better and get better gas mileage, which it does seem to have been the fact. I am off to get an oil change and state inspection and am hoping for a positive experience. I am a bit concerned due to the other reviews I have read and because a few people cautioned me that unnecessary services were sometimes recommended. I am hoping that is not the case and will update my review after this appointment. read more

VIP installed wiper blades on my car. I have never had any issues with my wiper blades or car for that matter in the 6 years of owning it until I went to VIP. Since VIP installed the wiper blades, they were hitting the side of my driver door whenever they were is use which caused 3 inches of my door to be bare metal. I got a quote to fix and paint my door in which I called VIP to rectify the situation, they claimed they'd look into it but said this wasn't their fault. Three weeks later and no call. I called last week and the manager claimed " his boss is still looking at it." Do not go to VIP unless you want troubles. read more

I have always had great service at VIP tires & service. They are speedy and honest in price.

They told me I needed a new Master cylinder after having my rear brakes replaced. After the rear brakes were put in the brake pedal went almost to the floor. They didn't before. So I went and had a second opinion and he said I shouldn't need a new master cylinder in a 2006 car, and the new mechanic found antifreeze in my brake system. Keep in mind that they are the only ones that have been working on my car for the last 4 years. So the new mechanic flushed the entire system and said I did not need a master cylinder yet and the rear brakes were not calibrated right, that's why they were going to the floor. You people at VIP in Gorham,NH needlessly put my life and the lives of my family members at risk by messing with my braking system to make money. what is wrong with you people? I will never require your services ever again. I will make sure that every one I come in contact with know what you people have done. If I would have got into a car accident because my brakes failed, your actions would be criminal. Be warned! Do not go to VIP Gorham,NH. They employ under educated mechanics and will do anything to get your money. Even put you in danger. I will be contacting there corporate office. I give them a Zero rating... The only reason I gave them 1 star is because it's the lowest rating required. read more

We were staying at Milan Hill State Park in the middle of June. We drove to VIP for oil change and mouse inspection (because we cannot find it/them, and we were both a little scared of mice). The oil change was fast and there is no problem so far. A lady helped us with the mouse inspection, she (of course she is braver than us!) checked a few places in the car but still did not find the mice. I should not talk all the details of how we trapped the mouse eventually, but we did take the advice of a guy from VIP and bought 4 d-con mouse traps and finally got the mouse. He also helped check the air filter where the mice like to stay, and suggested we vacuum the car so that the smell will not attract more mice. The service at VIP was awesome. Not only they did the mouse inspection for free, they also offered that we could put all our luggage in their store temporarily. In the end the lady helped us load all luggage back to our car. read more
