So update. Work was done in April. 2 it is now July 13. 2 side fences and 2 gates were replaced. Both gates do not operate, one doesn't close at all and the other is warped. I spoke with someone in the office and they said someone would be there to fix it last week. No one showed up and no one is answering the phone. I've left 3 voicemails. I'm hoping this gets resolved soon as these are rentals and tenants need their gates to operate. UPDATE 2: Bernardo's is a very busy provider. They finally responded and sent over 2 expert carpenters to repair both gates. Solid work and both gates operate perfectly. Bernardo & his crew did an outstanding job building and installing a custom combo metal & cedar wood 10'x8' double gate. In addition they did some fence repair. Bernardo had great ideas about the style and look. I listened and couldn't be happier. His pricing was in line with 6 other quotes but I selected Bernardo because he offered ideas as opposed to just saying "oh that will cost you more money". I actually got a custom gate compare to the others so in reality, his pricing was the best considering it was more than a rectangular design as others quoted. I highly recommend Bernard's fencing. This company is a joke. If you want to avoid a heart attack, steer clear. Chris, their former employee, and his crew replaced our fence at the end of 2019. The fence was decent enough at the time, but good luck chasing Chris down for an invoice. Despite numerous emails and calls, he remained unresponsive. Fast forward to within the 5-year warranty period--surprise, surprise, the fence tilted. We called them for an evaluation and were told it would cost $1400 to replace 7 posts without proof of warranty (though they generously offered a $400 discount). When I called the company directly, a woman informed me that Chris was fired in 2021 for theft--perhaps that's why the invoice and warranty never materialized. Despite their internal drama, which is clearly not my problem, I asked if I could provide evidence like emails or check images to prove Bernardo did the work, would they honor the warranty? The answer was a resounding yes, but the warranty would only cover labor--materials would still cost extra. And guess what? The price under warranty was $1400, exactly the same as the no-warranty quote. But here's the kicker: if I couldn't provide proof, the price would jump from $1400 to $3500. So, not only do they seem to be making it up as they go along, but their pricing is also more inconsistent than a weather forecast. Ironically, by trying to use my legitimate warranty, I ended up with a quote more than double the initial amount. It's almost impressive how hard they're trying to exploit their customers while acting like they're the only game in town for fence building. read more

I wasnt sure if I am sacrificing quality for the price but apparently not. his two workers came on the scheduled day right on the time we agreed on, worked very clean and quick to finish the fence of 60 ft in a day. It has been a bit over two years and somehow 3 of our trex deck boards melted, probably with damaged with hot coals, but I could not figure it out. The fence between our HOA community and neighboring units were well worn and once the wind storm hit, that was it! That 25 year old fence was outta there! As a result, I started my venture to look for an estimate to replace a 215 ft fence and another 47 ft smaller fence. I am part of a small HOA and had low reserves so we had to operate with a budget even with the shared cost. I received a total of 5 quotes before I made an appt which Bernardo Sr came to provide the an estimate. Well, our neighbor then wanted to talk to him further about the fence but he wasn't available so Bernardo Jr came out and adjusted the estimate to my neighbor's request. Needless to say, we went with Bernardo's. They weren't the cheapest between the estimates but they were the highest either. Both estimates were fair and they were able to tear down and put up that entire fence in 2 days. After the completion, Bernardo Jr came by and then, the neighbor thought 2x4s along the fence would make it sturdier which again and there some minor issues such as a few posts that weren't cemented and some debris left over which they were able to take care of quickly a couple of days later. Unfortunately, the team that came to correct the item had a language barrier and some of the debris was moved from one area and I realized that they dumped it along the front area on the other side of the property. Hence knocking off a star. Bernardo Sr and Jr were both easy to work with and fair. I do recommend them and would probably have them back for additional work! read more

Responded well to initial visit on site but thereafter after repeated followups, could not get any response from them. Its been 2 weeks now and they have not bothered to even call and update. Moreover during the visit, main owner of this business was there ie Bernando and was asking me to provide him design showing designs of metal fence versus showing me designs they have or can do. We interviewed a handful of fencers and Bernardo's price was the most fair. They were the only ones that took time and answered all our questions during the estimate. The estimate was detailed and provided the type of wood, depth for the post and style for the fence. They provided a timeline for the job and got it done on time. Toward the end of the process, we noticed two boards that did not quite match the color of the others and they happily replaced those. We are happy with the result. My only suggestion for the person answering the phone provided for this business is to say the business name when they answer the phone.
