The fence itself was installed well. Unfortunately our side door stopped closing after fence installation which we tried to resolve. Our position was consistent hammering during installed caused the door to not latch. Their position was this was a preexisting condition. We tried to resolve it but could not agree. The employees work hard on the job but when picking out wood, some are not quality pieces. Had a post installed when I wasn't home and there is a crack right in the middle of it. Had a gate made and some of the wood splintered and the frame of the gate wasn't measured correctly when the wood was cut. Could have made the gate stronger by securing 2x4 to certain areas of the frame. read more

After a bad winter storm, a 15ft section of my backyard fence blew down due to the high winds. I choose Maya's Fences as they seemed to have the best reviews and I understand why! Marisol was very quick to respond to my estimate request and made time for me the same day that I called! She sent her brother Octavio to perform the estimate. They presented several options (re-use fence boards, or fix with new ones), answered all my questions, and scheduled a day/time to perform the work in a very timely manner. Communicating with Marisol was easy and fast. Through text, phone calls, or emails, it was easy to get estimate adjustments and a contract signed. Note, Marisol tends to send her emails later in the evenings (estimates, proof of payments) but she always does what she says she's going to do. I'm assuming she's busy fixing everybody's fences during normal business hours. The work was well done and my fence feels as sturdy as ever. They even secured several loose fence boards for me free of charge. I think my fence is ready for the next winter rain storm. A little over 3 weeks ago, we used Yelp's Request Quote service to put out a request for quotes for the replacement of a deck and side fence. Marisol, from Maya's Fences was the first person to get back to us and schedule an initial visit. The next Monday, Marisol showed up on time with Julian (her brother) and they proceeded to take the necessary measurements, etc. She had a quote ready for us within a day and we could tell it was price competitive. Still, by then we had gotten a few other offers for quotes and we wanted to have a few quotes to compare. We met with four other companies (3 via Yelp, and one we had directly reached out to). They all came to see what the project was about and all but one submitted quotes for us and I can say that Marisol's quote was the most price competitive by a good margin. However, in meeting and discussing with the other companies, some suggestions for changes came up and we wanted to discuss those changes with Marisol and get an updated quote. By then, Marisol was travelling and unavailable, but her niece Delaney came again to our house with Julian to discuss the changes in person and proceeded to send us an updated quote. We decided to go with them and we are glad that we did. Julian and his team showed up on time the next Monday to begin work and proceeded to take down the old deck and fence and rebuild the new one. They were there for the whole week and by the time they were done on late Friday afternoon, they did a very thorough job of cleaning up after themselves. We are extremely satisfied with the quality of their work -- it looks beautiful and is a huge improvement over what we had before. Maya's Fences built a total of about 160ft of fence with our two neighbors, plus two gates for our front-facing fence. Our contact was Marisol. She responds to texts very quickly, mostly within minutes. After asking for a quote, we arranged an on-site meeting to get the measurements. She came on time, and promptly sent the quote. We contacted several other highly-rated companies for the same job. Some companies responded much later (a week or so), some scheduled an on-site appointment but didn't come, some came but never sent a quote. Among the ones that sent out a quote, Maya's Fences' quote was in line with most of the others. Marisol was the most responsive and transparent, so we decided to go with them. Maya's Fence was recommended by one of my friends. Initially I was hesitant to call them since our backyard fence project was rather a large one and seemed impossible and very expensive. More than 200 ft fence line covered by a 30-year-old broken and rotten fence, large trees, condense branches, leaves and lots of grass and debris.
