Absolute Perfection! Polly and the team are incredible! If I could give Bernard's Jewelers more than 5 stars, I would! I recently went in to get a custom ring guard made for my 20th-anniversary wedding ring, and the experience was nothing short of spectacular. A huge shoutout to Tori, who was absolutely amazing in helping me design the ring guard. She truly listened to what I wanted and helped bring the vision to life perfectly. From there, Polly took over and completely blew us away. Not only did she finish the ring guard in record time, but when it needed a slight adjustment, she went completely above and beyond. It was a busy holiday weekend, but Polly worked diligently, thoughtfully, and patiently with us to ensure it was absolutely flawless--and she made sure I was able to take it home that same day! The level of care, and customer service we received from everyone at Bernard's was unmatched. many of my friends have raved about Bernard's, but now I have experienced them and we feel like we have officially found our trusted, go-to jeweler for all of our future needs. We trusted Bernards with my wedding band. We wanted two diamonds switched out for emeralds. They tried to jam two different sizes/ shapes. They said they didn't know they needed to be diamond shaped and they accidentally ordered oval. Yet they tried to pass the ring off as done. After that we picked up the ring a second time and they ruined the brushing. One of the emeralds fell out a week later and I bought a replacement wedding band from Kay's. They absolutely ruined what was supposed to be a fun experience. They take no pride in their work and they still charged us 300 dollars for a ring I can't even wear now. read more

If anyone ever needs a link removed from a watch or a watch that requires its "electrical engineer" ( its battery) replaced, this business is the place to go. I had to take two watches into Bernard's today, Monday, January 20, 2025, for links to be removed and a battery to be replaced. One of the front-counter employees, Precious, was inside the room used for repairs, saw me, immediately came out and inquired if she could assist me. i explained the two problems, showed her the wrist band problems, and asked about the time to return. In about an hour, Precious called and told me my repairs were done, and I could pick up my watches. The process was easy, quick, and painless, and reasonably less expensive than any chain jewelry store. Thats why I give Bernard's 5 Stars. Jim read more

I have always had good experiences with Bernards, but then I realized I'm always happy with what I buy and have never had any issues. until today. I bought a ring a couple of weeks ago, wore it one day- wasn't happy with it, as it got caught on everything- to the point that it broke one of the prongs. I brought it back, explained that it wasn't a good ring for me, that I wasn't comfortable wearing it bc I was going to break it, again.. - all they could do after 12 days of purchase was a store credit. if you're going to shop here just make sure in advance that you're not going to have any problems with your jewelry. read more

Took my family jewelry to be cleaned, sized and appraised. Kept it for 2 months. Didn't have it done until the last min and completed it poorly. Staff rude and argumentative. Appraisal didn't sign documents. Staff indicated appraisal is notorious for not signing documents. read more

My wife and I have been customers at Bernard's Jewelers for over 25 years. After Bernard's death, we have seen a serious drop in service by the personnel in the store. I took my Citizen's Eco-Drive watch to them for repair on December 15, 2023. I was told that it could take up to two weeks. I have been back to the store seven times to check on it and have been told many excuses for why it was not repaired. First, I was told that Citizen had not sent the requested part necessary for the repair. Then, I was told that the watch repair person was not in the store when I came by (this occurred three times). I had finally had enough and went by today to pick up my watch to take it to Jarrod's Jewelers in Savannah, whose repair person has assured me they can return it to me repaired within ten days. I now have my watch, however, it is in pieces. I asked the young lady who gave it to me if I could have the watch at least put back together only to be told by her in what I construed to be a rude tone that "I don't work on watches. I asked if someone else could put it back together, and she simply said "Our watch repair person is a part time employee and I don't know when she will be back." Although we have spent literally thousands in this store, this will be my final visit. read more

Cleaned my mothers ring thats 50 years old and probably never cleaned beautifully. She was thrilled to see her ting sparkle and they did it on the same day I requested (in town for a family wedding). I wanted moms ring to shine on her finger and did it ever!!! read more

I walked into the store I was surprised they were fairly busy but not overly busy. I walked up to the counter window the girl behind the counter said" I will be right with you" So I stood there patiently and waited. After a couple of minuets I looked at my watch just to see how long it was gonna take. 3 different people came out of the back of the store and never said a word. I stayed there watching my watch from time to time and when I hit six mins of timing and another 2 or so min from when she greeted me. I just quietly walked out of the store. I am now looking for another item and this store came up as the place to go. I will never set foot in that store again. If I owned that store I would send in someone as a customer and see how they are treated. I would fire most of the folks. they just don't care about there customers. I don't see how they stay in business. with the attitudes they have. read more

First upon walking into the facility I was greeted with a smile and welcoming attitude. The lady offered to clean my rings that I currently had on... out of the kindness of her own heart. As I began looking around the room. I thought there might not be what I was looking for. A small Mother's Day gift. I had almost decided to walk out when they lady started conversation with me and I worked up the nerve to ask her for what I was looking for. It just went to prove don't judge a book by it's cover. She found the perfect gift in my price range and even offered to wrap it. Small shops do have their pluses. Don't allow negative rates to completely deter you from hard working shop owners. I will start this review with a positive note because I want to be as objective as possible. The attitudes of the front counter workers are excellent and I can tell they are working to help the customer. This store is painful in that it is incredibly unprofessional and could not move at a slower pace. From my experience, I have received little to no assistance from the jeweler and any communication With the jeweler ended with me pitching an idea that should have been common sense for the jeweler. I do not mean to be offensive, but am generally disappointed with the service I have received from this store. I will not be coming back. read more

Poor attitude and no professionalism when we returned to have engagement ring sized after it was purchased and see about s matching band. Even when picking up the ring after sizing, another poor customer service encounter with an employee that had an unhelpful attitude. As far as workmanship, the quality was unacceptable- had purchased a different diamond of better quality to replace the one that came in ring only to have the prongs and mounting look uneven and not seamless. Dropped off 6 rings for an appraisal to put toward engagement ring. Was told it would take a week. Heard nothing and returned on 8th day at 9 AM. Was told the appraisal was not ready, but would be ready at 2:30 in the afternoon. I came back at 2:45 PM and the appraisal still was not done. I did not appreciate being jerked around the second time. I left with the rings and no appraisal. I wasted 8 days waiting on them. read more

I bought a ring at this store. The ring was over 5000.00. I went to pick it up after they sized it and they handed it to me in a paper envelope. I then we asked if they could write me up an appraisal for my insurance. They told me they it would be extra...I didn't understand why they couldn't write the appraisal since I just purchased it. So came in to get a ring fixed for my wife. The sales representative brought the ring into the back for the jeweler to look at it and determine the price of the repairs . Got the estimate for repairs ($135) and was good with it even though they told me it would take a month to fix. I got a call a little past a month ND was told were sorry it's going to be $535 to fix your ring. I was thrown back because I was like what. I had a written estimate for 135. Then they told me during cleaning they noticed more work needed to be done and more damage was created during cleaning. They told me I should return the ring where I bought it at 5 years ago and had no issues at all and now it's issues. So this place is very shady and trying to make a quick dollar off their consumers. No thank you. I just brought the ring elsewhere and the ring was fixed for $140 dollars and is perfect. Thanks for waiting my time Bernard's jewelers. Your business practice is way off! read more
