Being a sub, I feel welcomed at this school, and not just a number or a "substitute teacher". I always leave with a smile on my face! This school only consists of 8th graders - much more manageable. The kids know my name and what I stand for. It is much easier to gain respect when it's not you against multiple grades in one single building! Allows for variety - you spend one school year with the students, then they're off to high school, and a new batch comes thru.

The track is setup around a really nice football field and the officials were very professional for the event. The school grounds were kept up nicely and the track was well established. The setup was really nice as they had bathrooms centrally located and the food shack was well stocked with hot and cold foods. I would definitely look forward to coming back to this location for another track meet.

While she was occupied, I (being an old facilities guy) walked around the campus looking at the facilities. This is a beautiful campus located just east of downtown Circleville. The buildings are relatively new and appear to be well-maintained. The only building I was actually in was the main campus center. There was a nice snack bar / seating area, restrooms, classrooms and exhibit space. I can't speak to the academic program but would assume that any university with "Christian" in its name would be a very conservative institution.

This university hijacks the name "Christian"; however, they do not support many Christian ideals…read moresuch as the Great Commission. In other words, they do not support students going on missions trip. 0 flexibility. Additionally, some professors push ideals on students they ultimately speaks to God not being real (opposite of Christianity). They also do not help students find summer employment.

At this location, you'll find the shop where Lockhart Ironworks creates their goods, the blacksmithing school and a store where they sell their wares. The owner and operator, Doug, is very passionate about blacksmithing and teaching this lost art to a new generation. Lockhart Ironworks / Southern Ohio School of Blacksmithing offers classes during the weekend that teach children (ages 12 and older) how to create metal objects with their own two hands, and then they get to keep them. Classes are all day and include lunch. Doug has a real heart for imparting his decades-long knowledge of metalwork and blacksmithing to children, and by the time I finished talking to him, I wanted to sign up for a class myself! You will find Lockhart Ironworks' metalwork all over the town of Logan and the Hocking Hills area. We were staying in a cabin in the woods of Hocking Hills, and I noticed that the towel holder was from Lockhart Ironworks (I could tell because it had their signature heart shape at the end). They also create quality cookware, which you can buy from their on-site store, or order from their website.

My sister and I were in town taking care of our fathers estate and needed help appraising his…read morecollection for probate. We called Louis and some other local stores but he was the only one that called us back. We set up an appointment and he showed up on time and was amazingly helpful. We shared our concerns about having to leave town ( we both live out of state ) with my fathers collection sitting in the house with no one there. Louis offered to store the collection while we finished probate and also gave us a fair price on the appraisal. I would highly recommend Louis and Metal Gear Armory fit his knowledge, honesty and patience !
