The way that the school handles discipline is very public, which is at least negligent and at worse malicious. Being a sub, I feel welcomed at this school, and not just a number or a "substitute teacher". I always leave with a smile on my face! This school only consists of 8th graders - much more manageable. The kids know my name and what I stand for. It is much easier to gain respect when it's not you against multiple grades in one single building! Allows for variety - you spend one school year with the students, then they're off to high school, and a new batch comes thru.
