So happy we stumbled into berry fresh cafe. Fair warning, it packs up on the weekend so prepare to wait. But oh so worth it! I got the chicken and waffles. Wish the sauce came on top. Frequent visitor - last week I went twice. The first visit was with my daughter, we shared the biscuits and gravy w/eggs. Huge disappointment. The waitress brought us the wrong order first- she forgot the grits and gave use poached eggs, we ordered over hard (don't judge). She brought the right meal and the biscuit was flat and hard as a rock. I have never had biscuits and gravy that were this bad. On the flip side - on the next visit we got the potato pancakes - I have never had them before despite growing up next to the Finkelstein's. They were cold, I am not sure they are supposed to be since they are fried. We ate one pancake and the eggs. I do love their omelets, these were just new adventures from the menu. AWESOME, FANTASTIC, REALLY GREAT, and the superlatives can go on, and on... I love it when a place takes a normal, everyday meal and does something new with it. Like, a Chesapeake Bay Crab Hash? Who's ever heard of THAT before? And they did it WELL!!! I've been to quite a few places that make new changes to Benedicts (which Berry Fresh does ALSO), but the hash was a new one for me. I don't know what hubby had. No clue what sis ordered. Was too busy stuffin' this into my face to even pay any attention (which is HIGHLY unusual for ME!). Boyfriend got the Nashville Chicken Hot Hash and I got the Shrimp Crabcake Brie Omelet. Both so good and sooooo filling! Really wanted breakfast this morning and this place is a local friends favorite so we gave it a whirl. Our waitress is from Russia and was amazing! We went to the bar for Mimosas while waiting for a table. After last night's partying the 22 oz. Beet Retreat Mimosa did the trick. The bar tender made my friend a special chocolate alcoholic beverage that was dessert in a drink and delicious and then starred our food tour with Blueberry fritters.. Her and I split the Avocado bacon omelet and chicken and waffles with jalenpeno jelly. Got a biscuit for the bread cause they are homemade as is the grape jelly. Husband got the O.M.G. Seriously love this place! The food is so tasty and they give huge portions too. We ordered the cinnamon bon for the first time (only served on Saturday and Sunday). It was so fluffy and delicious I wanted to take one to go. Also, the pancakes are bigger than your face--but seriously so delicious! When walking up to check in, you may see a line. however the staff is amazing and they hustle here! We were seated faster than we anticipated. We felt very unwelcome here. It was sad, because my friend and her girlfriend loved this place, but then this experience has kinda ruined it. Im gluten free and, fortunately, they have a few GF options. Tatiana, though, was very aggressive and non welcoming of a few questions, then made sure to tell me that everything is cross contaminated. Though I appreciate the disclaimer, it was said in a way like I should go somewhere else. I didn't want to make a scene (also I know the risks involved in eating out), so I looked back at the options. Usually restaurants can make specialty brunch items using GF toast or pancake batter. When I asked if a waffle could be made using the batter for pancakes (very normal request), she got a manager who was very direct and also said absolutely not. It was really, really strange. So, I ordered a meal with GF pancakes and eggs, but when a new server came out with them, she was very nice to my friends and then just said "here" to me. It was like I had been marked. My pancakes followed a minute later but Tatiana didn't try to set them down or make space, she made me move my drink, though she had a free hand. I asked for water, she rolled her eyes. It was really unreal. I even got nervous about the pancakes, wondering if they were regular ones because of the rudeness of the staff. I decided to try them and push my anxiety away because who does that to people? And then I found a hair in the pancake. I've been a bartender and server for 6 years but never have I experienced this level of rudeness from staff. Ever. I also don't feel like asking basic questions (can you make this speciality French toast with GF bread? No.) should make me feel uncomfortable. The servers were aggressive aggressive, passive aggressive and simply unkind. Oh, and tip of 18% is automatically included. It was the worst. The food was good, but man. My favorite is also the red neck Benedict!!! OMG so good!! Biscuit, sausage, egg and gravy, what's not to love!!!! They make fantastic coffee drinks and have a huge variety of food. So many choices and everything was delicious. We were told about a 15-20 minute wait to be seated, but we were called after only about 10 minutes! Being that it was our first time coming here we were taking a little longer to decide on what to order, but our waiter was super patient and friendly the entire time. My mom ordered a BLT on whole wheat with an iced tea, and I ordered a BLT on white with a hot tea. The menu described the sandwich as having "tons of bacon," but apparently, "tons" meant just three slices. While the food was tasty, lunch ended up costing $45, including an obligatory 18% tip. 8-27-22 Saturday brunch 11:45 AM So hubby and I were staying in West Palm as we attended a concert at I Think Amphitheater. Next morning we are starving. Hubby says I can pick! Well we are number three on the list. Once we parked in this shopping plaza (note free parking) we walked in the lady said are you Clarissa I said yes and she asked if a table was ok. Appreciate the warm reception and the ask about seating, this sets the tone for a great experience! Once seated the waitress asked what we wanted to drink. Truthfully the options are overwhelming so got basic hot tea with lemon and hubby coffee. Get this the choices keep coming for milk choices on the table are half and half, a non dairy creamer and coffee mate French vanilla. All individual serve, this is amazing. We were suggested cinnamon rolls or blueberry fritters to start. Hubby loving blueberries picked the fritters they come with a strawberry yogurt dipping sauce. To say they were delicious is an understatement! Once they disappeared our breakfast arrived quickly hubby got Irish eggs Benedict and I a Shrimp,crab cake and Brie omelette the side I chose was sliced tomatoes and my bread was a biscuit. I hadn't eaten in 22 hours and still couldn't finish so I took the other half home for a snack later. In fact in writing this I should have gotten a cinnamon roll to go as I am getting hungry!
