Fun Sunday visit to Civil Society with the family! We ordered a few different beers - Fresh, a Lager, and a third.... All delicious. They also serve wine and cocktails, which I love to see for the non beer drinkers. We ordered 2 John Dalys, very good! The group ordered 2 pizzas and we quickly ate all of it. Made fresh and tasted great. They have parm and red pepper flakes, and pizza stands too. Loved that detail. The staff was super friendly and I liked having indoor and outdoor seating available. Very kid friendly... we brought a babies and other groups had young kids. We felt comfortable with the little ones. We'll be back soon to try out more beers, pizza, and cocktails. Cheers! read more

Stopped for a brew and a bite at Civil Society Brewing Co., Jupiter -- because my exhaustive research on Florida's microbreweries is never ending. The sacrifices I make for the greater good... No stouts or porters today, but we scored a crisp "Beach Access" lager + smooth "Escuzi" pilsner. Sampled some pale ales--too citrusy for me. Guess I'm a beer snob now. And the bar food snack game? I am a big fan of civil! I've been coming here for a few years just for their beer which is always so fresh and delicious. My two favorites are FRESH & Beach Access. I've been hearing rave reviews for over a year now about their homemade pizza, so I finally gave it a try the other night and it did not disappoint! I'm so impressed, it was better than any pizza I've had at a dedicated pizza shop. They're always improving their shop one way or another, whether it's with adding food items to the menu, new beer options, or updating the space. They do an all around great job! read more

I originally emailed the owners about this issue in hopes it could be addressed privately, but after receiving no response, I'm leaving my feedback here. Unfortunately, the experience at the Jupiter location has changed since Farah started bartending. Many regular customers, myself included, have noticed she's often rude or dismissive toward female customers while giving noticeably different attention to male patrons. Service also tends to be much slower when she's working. The biggest concern is the inappropriate flirting with married men while their wives are sitting right there. It creates an uncomfortable atmosphere that's causing many people to choose other places instead. This isn't just my opinion--I've heard the same concerns from multiple people. Civil Society has built a great reputation over the years, and I'd hate to see it damaged over something that could be addressed. read more

Civil Society is a gem in the southern Jupiter area and a true home town hero. Refreshingly devoid of pretension, this local brewery aims to keep things simple and provide a friendly community based atmosphere with good food and truly inspired craft beers made on the premises. In that respect they are rather successful. They have a craft, a simple one, and they take it seriously. Came to check out Civil's new pizza menu, they sure nailed it! We started with the garlic knots & focused with the hot pepperoni pie w/ added sweet sausage. The knots were cooked perfectly with a nice crust paired with soft dough, and not too greasy--& the dipping sauce was well-balanced. The cup pepperoni paired with the hot honey had the right amount of heat, and the sweet sausage added a nice depth of flavors. For beers we had the Tricked Out Golf Cart (fantastic) & Deadstock (expected more from a double). Can always count on Civil for great IPAs! read more

I love taking a detour of 95 to stop here. Most of the beer is fruit forward (think pineapple juice) and fresh. The staff is always beautiful and friendly (don't forget to tip). I love dark beers and not sure I've had a stout that I remember from here. So when I go here, I know I'm getting either IPAs and of course - their famous Kolsch. Ate dinner here tonight with friends. There were both adults and kids and we all loved the food. We started with the pretzel which was huge and the garlic knots which were flavorful and served with a marinara sauce. The pizza was cooked perfectly and they had some interesting choices, we tried the brussel bacon pizza, the blanco with arugula, lemon and ricotta and the margarita pizza- so good with the torn basil! We also had the arugula goat cheese salad with cranberries, it was crisp with plenty of toppings and a nice light dressing. It was my fave thing we tried. The dessert of cinnamon knots tasted like an upgraded elephant ear, buttery with cinnamon sugar and frosting drizzled over the top. The had beers and vodka drinks. My hubby had the orange vodka drink and said it tasted great. It was a sweeter dessert type drink that looked really good. We will def be back! read more

And then there was Civil. This is Ben's friends' absolute favorite location, so we had to make sure we had plenty of time to spend there. She always stocks up when she goes there so right away put together an order to-go just in case they ran out of what they had canned, which she did say has happened when she waited til the end of their visit. The brewery is industry in style, open bricks showing, low key on most walls but then other walls have great artwork on them. They do not (or did not) have flight boards but they do have smaller glasses to be able to do tasters, though they looked like shot glasses. LOL. So excited we got to finally check out this brewery while in the area! This brewery is we known for making IPAs, including hazy and/or New England style IPAs. It can be a very niche brewery, so folks who don't like hoppy beers may not like most of their selections here. We came in on a Monday afternoon during Happy Hour. Most of their draft menu consists of the aforementioned IPAs, but they also have a couple of stouts and a lager on draft. We tried their flagship beer (Fresh) in addition to others such as Fresh Pop, Wetsuit Weather, Pulp, and Sandbar Party. Everything was delicious. The place was surprisingly busy for a Monday, but the beertender provided great service. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, in addition to come cans and growlers to go. This is one of our favorite breweries we have been to in Florida, so we will definitely be back! read more

The IPAs are excellent but everything had a slight hoppy vibe. the blond, formerly called blonde make me hoppy, is too hoppy for the style, go back tom the old name. also, a couple issues with the space and menu. no flights. you have 9 delicious IPA and DIPAs and min pour is 8 oz. i'm a tourist driving after this stop, what do i take home on cans? i dunno. also dog friendly, with two very well behaved dogs (perhaps service trained) and a customer comes in with two yappers who go bonkers every time a customer comes in. shitty vibe so ambiance gets a zero. read more

Super freaking cute place. I haven't been to Abaco in a long time. We were invited to the Chili cook off and ended up here afterwards. Great location, the inside is fun with their adorable dog logo. We had a group of us and we very much enjoyed being there. We set at high tops and tried different kinds of beer. They do have merchandise of that dog on cups, sweaters etc. I did purchase one of the adorable tie dye sweaters. It was cold outside and a few drinks always make me want to buy stuff that I don't really need. It's been a week and I still love it. I don't know if they sell food or not. Jimmy, the pizza maker, made a couple of recommendations and we tried them both and they were very good. So good that I had to take one home for my husband and he loved it and he is not a huge fan of pizza. The whole staff provided great service from beginning to end. IPA's for days. IPAze fur Daze. IPAyyy's 4 DAyyy's. It's no secret that Civil Society has mastered the IPA-style of beer, which just so happens to be my favorite. I might be an outlier, but I like my beers to taste like I'm licking the bark off of a pine tree. GIMME ALL DEM HOPS! The brewery itself is industrial with high top tables, a lengthy bar top and a few couches, which myself and a colleague sat oh so comfortably. Bartender was fairly nice and his barback was prompt at bussing glasses from tables. My three favorites were Juice, Bulkshake, and the best beer of the day in my opinion, the 3rd Anniversary DIPA with six varieties of hops. Weighing it at a hefty 10.2%, I recommend a small 4oz. pour so you don't wake up underneath the couch. However, it could've been guzzled in mere minutes. Holding off on the fifth star because of the variety of beers. Granted, they catered to me through and through. But my compadre isn't an IPA guy, he's a stout guy. I felt bad that he had to drink IPA's all afternoon, especially since Civil cranks out monster stouts, which they released a few days later. I recommend checking the tap list before visiting, so you know exactly what you're getting into. However, don't let this discredit the pure art form they have perfected with many of their brews. The beer and atmosphere was great at Civil Society but the service was not prompt (we waited at least 15 minutes at the bar before anyone came over to us) and the snacks were limited to popcorn (although it was delicious!). They have about 10 beers on tap that change frequently and cover a wide range of flavors and types. Everyone loves their double IPAs. I got the milk stout and it was wonderfully smooth. Another popular thing is their 'crowlers' (cup + growlers). For about $13 you can take home a 32oz vacuum sealed can of any beer on tap. This is a great price and should stay fresh for a few months if kept cold! read more

Warming up to Civil Society took a while -- between the distance from where I live in Lake Worth to visit the brewery in Jupiter, and their preference towards brewing IPAs. Now, I can say they are one of the best breweries in South Florida. Period. When I brought my beer group to Civil for one of our selected stops on a tour of the northern PBC breweries, it changed my perception. Before that visit, I had been reluctant to really give them a chance due to their focus on IPAs. And for someone who prefers Belgian-style beers and stouts, the style is not up my alley. However, I remember having the Fresh on that occasion, as well as the Space Bunnies Double IPA, and my opinion changed. Plus, I was impressed by their Prince Gary Imperial Milk Stout, which was a dream. From then on, I was hooked. They have a groovy, spacious taproom, with a L-shaped bar and plenty of seating. It's a family-owned operation that takes a lot of pride in the product they release to the public. It shows with every tap and every can release. Recently, I picked up a 4-pack of Space Kitties and Fade Away. Both are great. They do a lot of can releases that I really value as a craft beer enthusiast. And they're the only brewery that I will seriously take the time to discover their IPA releases. I have only been here once, but when I can get my hands on it and my lips around it, I love to drink their beer. Civil Society, I love you!!!!! My two favorites are DDH juice and FRESH. But when I visited, I did a flight of everything they had. Plus I had some of the jerky they sell which was really great. The venue itself is kind of like modern industrial. A lot of concrete and what I like is you can see into the brewing area. The bar itself can accommodate about twenty with various tables off to the sides. They also have outside seating. The servers were awesome, both engaging, knowledgeable and really fun. I would definitely go back. Wish i lived closer. read more

Best IPA's in Florida. Hands down! If you don't believe me, I'll buy us a pint. I drive from Naples and Miami for their portfolio of hazy goodness. Plenty of space indoors and out. Extensive tap list with IPA's leading the way, saisons, and if you're lucky, something barrel aged. An average of 3-4 behind the bar pouring and filling crowlers. Weekly can(s) release, and bottles every few months. Saturday's at noon can have a line, especially in season. Forget the line and go inside and get a pour until the line is gone and get your cans. This brewery cannot be more than two years old, but if memory serves, I've been here before. This place was quite busy. There were approximately eight beers on tap and I enjoyed one of them: grandma lemonade blueberry and blackberry, a sour ale. Excellent. I was really thirsty and in the mood for that. Civil is by far one of my favorite brewers in Florida! It's great to have watched them grow from the beginning into what they are now, which is a titan in the beer community. My boyfriend is one of those craft beer snobs from Connecticut and he even says their IPA's are the best New England style IPA's he's had in FL hands down. They have their original brewery in Jupiter and their second location now open in West Palm Beach. From the atmosphere to their beers, this place is a MUST try! Since my boyfriend and I live in Fort Lauderdale we always leave with a few cases of beer to-go (another plus). I also just saw that the Jupiter location recently started selling "Adult Soft Serve Ice Cream" made with their very own beer called Nui Nui which is a 7% Berliner with orange, cinnamon, & vanilla. Our favorite Brewery here in Florida. Been coming here for years and during covid we would drive down and buy cases of four-packs. After covid we would usually come on Sundays and the two beertender ladies Rachel and Shayna were fun and fabulous. Good times and good music too. Came there today and what a change...obnoxious bearded beertender guy and the rap music. Nothing but that. We like a good mix of music but not rap. Guess they think this crap music is what people want and maybe so but...not for us. read more
