BerryWood is a cute bakery store, in the same building as the Honah Lee tasting room. Truthfully they should be the same Yelp page, but technically they are separate businesses, even though they occupy the same space. They have plenty of sweets here, as well as some 'farm' produce like eggs and a few veggies. But I'm a huge fan of the jams, especially the spicy ones. In fact they have a serving tray of like 10 jams for sampling, and it's hard to choose. read more

Our absolute favorite stop on our mini vacation to Gordonsville. Mr. Eric was absolutely awesome, hilarious, and so sweet, and talked to us a little about the history of the vineyard, the farm, as well as some of BerryWood's products. There's a cute little farm outside with fresh produce such as peaches and corn. The first thing I noticed right away was the selections of jams, jellies, and sauces when I walked in their little 'market.' We were given a little 'tasting' of the different jams, jellies, and syrups they had. My husband was a huge fan of their Peach Ghost Pepper Jelly (a nice sweet peach taste with a kapow at the end from the ghost pepper), and I was in love with their Malbec Grape Jam - yummy on toast, on crackers, on cheese, etc. I also loved their Toad's Raw Honey, straight from the combs on their farm - wonderful and absolutely delicious, and probably the best honey I've ever tasted! We also purchased a Malbec and a Pinot Noir from their vineyard for some family and friends, and I know that they'll love it. I would highly recommend in anyone visiting the Orange/Gordonsville/Charlottesville area to make a trip out to BerryWood - Mr. Eric and Ms. Brandy are so sweet, and I am all for supporting local businesses that actually have great-tasting lovely products! I am definitely going to continue ordering honey and the jams/jellies from them on, forever and ever. While in Gordonsville this past weekend, we stopped by BerryWood to check out Honah Lee Winery! I have been to several of the wineries in the area but hadn't tried this one and this one is my new favorite! At $1 per pour (max of six, choice of about 15 or so), it was such a great deal! They also have a great selection of white wines which is why I enjoyed it so much. They also have a sweet red, Crooked and Weedy which was so delicious, we ended up leaving with a bottle. It's very unique in the sense that they pour wine from their own winery, and from a few other small/local wineries as well. My boyfriend who doesn't like wine even found a few that he enjoyed! They are very small, just a few seats for tasting inside but tons of outdoor seating. I definitely plan on going back. read more

Such a welcoming and lovely vineyard. Tasting room offering flights from Well Hung and Michael Shap's wine makers. Owners Eric and Brandy were wonderful hosts. Brandy shares tastings of her homemade jellies and baked goods--the brookies were delicious! We stumbled upon Honah Lee as our first stop on a 2 day wine tour. We ended up going to 5 different places over the course of our tour and Honah Lee was our overwhelming favorite. We spent about an hour and half with Eric and Brianna tasting Gabrieli Rausse and Michael Shaps wine. While tasting, we got to sample probably a dozen of the various jellies, jams, vinegars, dips, etc that Brianna makes. The Cranberry Ghost Pepper Jelly is out of this world. The wines were delicious. Eric gave us a great lesson on the history/timeline of Virginia winemaking, as well as some very interesting stories about Scorpion peppers. If you go to Honah Lee and have the pleasure of having him run your testing, you should definitely ask him about his first time eating a Scorpion pepper! Bottom line is if you are in the Orange county area for wine tasting, DO NOT miss Honah Lee! They feature wines from some great Virginia wineries, have wonderful homemade jams and jellies, and Eric and Brianna are great hosts! read more

Oh my goodness, what a great experience! Our Tasting Leader, Quinn, was just lovely. She knows her "stuff," and she is great at sharing it. The jellies are redonkulous and add a great note to the tasting. So NOT the ordinary, and we've been to many, many tasting rooms. The wine selection is a nice cross section of Virginia wines. Looking forward to going back for Honah Lee wines next time. Definitely a crowd-pleaser and a must visit! read more

This place is amazing and definitely worth a stop on any winery tour. Everyone is so welcoming and it's such a relaxed atmosphere. Their wine tasting concept is great because there is a list of around 18-20 different wines and you get to choose the 6 or more wines you'd like to taste. They offered 3 of their own wines (which I highly recommend), as well as wines from other local winemakers/wineries (Well Hung, Michael Shaps, Gabrielle Rausse, Chris Hill) that you can't get elsewhere. Along with the generous pours, they provided nibbles and jellies. The garlic jelly is delicious!! This place was the last stop on our weekend winery tour and it was far and away the best experience of our whole trip. read more

I'll make it a point to stop by BerryWood every time I'm in the Gordonsville/Barboursville/Charlottesville area. We spent several hours there on Saturday, thoroughly enjoying the charming atmosphere, the great company, the delicous jams, and Eric's generous pours on the tasting. The wines are delicious..well rounded, well-suited to the grapes. We liked everything we tried, and took a lot of wine and jam home with us (although we finished one jar of the hot sauce and one of the spiced blueberry jam before the weekend's end.) Eric and Brandy treated like "old friends," and the tasting room really felt like home. All in all, a wonderful visit. read more

We have the very ambitious goal of trying to stop at every winery in Virginia. With that being said, we absolutely loved our time spent at this winery!! You will not be disappointed if you stop here! Out first stop on a beautiful February Saturday. Very personable owners shared fun stories and gave our group a good education about their products. They sell jams, honey, etc., that we sampled and bought - very good. This small, very welcoming place is worth a visit! We liked nearly all the wines also - bonus! read more
