    Greeted by corgis!

Bit of a hidden treasure. Lovely folks here who were nice enough to round up the corgis for my son. Great wine and conversation!

We loved our tasting and came away with three delicious bottles. The owners were fun to talk with and even graciously gave our son a ride in the golf cart to let out the corgis. Later, we had fun visiting and petting the pups outside.

Red and white tasting on their little pergola overlooking the vineyard and mountains

I loved that this winery was dog friendly, but a lot of them are in the area. I also thought the staff and family of the owner were very nice and their pups were so cute. And the view was also very nice though not as picturesque as other local wineries. Problem is I just didn't care for their wines. Now, wines are subjective and this place does have 4.5 stars, so judge for yourself. But for me, there were a number of better wineries for the view and/or the wines (though not always both).

Entrance to the winery! Lovely mountain views

If you have a long list of VA wineries and short on time this is one that can be skipped bc the wines are really fruity and unless you can grab a spot at the pergola, then the views aren't as good as others. We love that this small winery is dog friendly. The views of the rolling hills at the pergola are quite lovely but not as jaw-dropping as King or Veritas and others. I used to be a more sweet wine drinker but my palate has matured so these wines were just too young for me. For those just getting into wine these may be a good starting point since they did have some Governor Cup bronze winning wines.

2019 Petit Verdot. My wife and I both loved it.

Reynard Florence is a wonderful boutique winery in Orange County, Virginia. They were recommended to my wife and I by friends, and we found the owners Roe and Dee to be very friendly and welcoming. When we walked in the door of the tasting room, we were greeted by two of the cutest Corgis we've ever seen. Jill helped us put together a white and a red tasting. We are by no stretch wine connoisseurs, but they did have a number of very good wines. Among the white wines, my wife very much liked the 2019 Petit Manseng. We also liked the 2018 Ti Rey Rose, which also had the distinction of being named after Roe and Dee's Corgi. We both agreed that the 2019 Petit Verdot was the class of the reds, though I did also like the Malbec. We purchased 3 bottles to take home. We decided on the Petit Manseng, the Petit Verdot, and of course the Ti Rey Rose. All in all it was a delightful stop. In our travels throughout the heart of Virginia, we've found a number of restaurants, cafe's, general stores, and now wineries that have captured our hearts as well as our taste buds. Reynard Florence Vinyard is definately on that list.

Incredible views, incredible wine, and incredible hospitality! You cannot ask for more when stopping by a winery. When you walk inside, the winery team is welcoming and ready to help you choose a bottle or glass of wine that perfectly fits what you're looking for. They are knowledgeable and ready to make suggestions. We enjoyed a bottle of the rosè in the pergola, which has amazing views, and then moved closer to the building to finish. This place is a must stop if you are in the area, or if you're looking for great wine!

Man this place is awesome. The people that run it are incredibly sweet. The grounds are beautiful and there is more than enough space to feel safe COVID wise. We sat in this little sitting area in the middle of the vineyard, which is a great option if you want to have completely your own space. Everyone who worked there respected social distancing as well which is always appreciated. The wine tasting flight was delicious and a great price for what you get. I can't recommend this place enough!

Small winery with a French flair. Focus on dry reds...which they do exceptionally well. 4 acres of grapes, with their reds being estate but their whites being locally sourced. 800 cases a year. I'm pretty shocked such a tiny place was so good. I love my dry reds, and they deliver. The wine maker sneakily got his wife to agree to starting this business, likely in part to appealing to her French sensibilities by allowing her to set the theme (she's a French teacher, after all). Wonderful view from the top of the hill, looking out at the vines. What I tried: 2014 Viognier: OK; nothing that blew me away 2015 Chardonnay: The French Oak comes thru in the creaminess. 2013 Cab Franc: Red fruit forward, little pepper but not bell-pepper. 2015 Merlot: Cherry notes 2013 Recherché red blend (PV heavy): Liked it but didn't love it 2014 Recherché red blend (Cab Franc heavy): Big nose, but again liked it but didn't love it. 2013 Petit Verdot: By PV standards, not especially bold, but still very nice. Grenache: Yes, this is one of the few Grenache growers in this area. Not tasted but I bought a glass. Love this grape; spicy but not peppery.

Words could not explain the gratefulness in my heart that I have for Dee & Roe. Long story short they stepped in to host - 3 days before mine and my now husband's wedding when our original venue fell through. They did not know us, but they truly felt like family on this included day. I don't know how I could ever repay them for their generosity, but I have waited to get our wedding photos back to write this review. Amazing wine, I love the rose personally - named after my favorite corgi Ti Rey.

You MUST stop here while touring the vineyards around Barboursville!!! The tasting room is quaint, nicely decorated with a jazzy flair and the lady who works it is knowledgeable and friendly. The owner (who popped in) is equally as friendly, we enjoyed chatting with him. The wines all tasted VERY nicely! Their whites are blended by Michael Shaps. The reds are very nicely blended as well. We really enjoyed all of their wines and bought 3 different bottles. They have a pretty in-ground pool there, which they explained is open to wine guests during the summer as well, which is odd, but interesting and intriguing! They offer seating inside and outside on a patio or in the vineyard. Overall, we were very happy with the wines, the staff and the venue and we look forward to going back!

We loved most of the wines, but the service is the reason to go. What an informative tasting and the live music was delightful! Being able to speak one on one with the owner of a small local winery is priceless. The grounds are small but lovely, and you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. A really enjoyable visit!

    Yummy!

Very nice wines!! We usually go to Barboursville vineyard but this cute little place has just become our new favorite. We liked every wine but our favorites are Reynard Blanc (2013), Cabernet Franc (2010) and the Recherche (2013). Kids loved the dog, access to water (in a wine glass) and the crackers ($1 per pack).

Quiet, backroad winery on the Monticello wine trail. Sample led the Malbec and 2017 Recherche red blend. Both balanced and drinkable.
