I had a great experience at Ogden Kia in Harlingen. My sales woman was very knowledgeable and helped me understand how to use the CarPlay as I had never had one before I went back a couple of times because I'm not very tech savvy and more than happy to help me learn how to use all the tech. The Kia soul was a great choice. It's got as standard. A lot of features that other people pay extra for a lot of safety features that really help. I hope this is the last car I ever have to buy as I'm older but if I did have to buy another car, I would definitely go back to Burt Ogden Kia. My family has been buying cars from the Ogden dealerships even before Ogden had his own dealership back when he worked for the Cadillac company and I've always been happy with the service and the treatment I've gotten at Burt Ogden. read more

The service Kia in Harlingen and main office has given me and the company I work for horrible service. I gave Kia in Harlingen a1 star rating because I am so disappointed with the service I am receiving. I am Fleet manager for Sunny Glen Children homes and we took 2 Kia's for a recall over a month ago. I have yet to receive and updates and every time I call I keep getting told that it will be ready in a few days. According to your staff the parts are on its way but before I took them for service they had assured me that the parts were in. Just this morning I have called to the service depart 5 times and no one answer. I have also called the main Harlingen line to speak with an operator and it goes straight to voice mail. horrible service department. i regret purchasing my vehicle from this dealership, I've had nothing but problems. I bought a brand new 2025 carnival. My ac is messing up- I have kids and need ac during this hot summer. I called a few months ago they couldn't get me in for a month. I scheduled an appt for July 8. bring it in the morning and they tell me they might not be able to service it today. makes no sense. what is an appointment even for. I called to ask for an update and was left on hold for 50 minutes. hung up and called another 15 times no answer. HORRIBLE. Stay away from this dealership. read more

I Work in a body shop and need to order parts for Kia, I have never once been able to get through to them. Call never goes in so we Leave messages and still have never had a call back. We have to call Kia in Mission that they do answer and place order efficently and we have the delivery service pick up and bring us parts. very bad service. I dont know why? If I could leave zero stars I would. What kind of car sales is this. Keep that in mind if you buy a Kia from them and need parts expect to drive all the way over there to order parts should you ever need one. Went to get a recall completed on my vehicle and two side panels of trim that have fallen off. My vehicle was bought about a year ago and these issues are coming up which I understand does happen. The issue is that I had an appointment at 11am and arrived at 1030. I was told that the repairs would take about 2 hours or so. The problem was once they told me it was ready that none of the repairs were completed. Meaning that the sensor on the chair was not repaired but inspected and the side trim that I was told was in stock was not in stock. A small repair that should of taken 2 hours turned into almost 3 hours of absolutely nothing being repaired. The other issue was with the service lady in the front and her complete lack of "I don't care". I would of given a zero if it was possible. read more

I vowed I wouldn't purchase a car in the RGV (1.) not as high turnover of vehicles so they need to charge more; $150 or something for mats & another $50 for a mesh sling in the trunk both added to the bill in the fine print which we were not asked about and 2.) the high high humidity not good for cars!) but I did. Tried calling the salesman my husband calls Flaco 2-3 times afterwards for a follow up question & he never returned our call. Rude! That typically doesn't happen. Basically the CS bites. I would suggest you go to Austin, San Antonio or another area for your vehicle purchase. I gave 2 stars cuz I love my vehicle but that has nothing to do with Bert's. read more

Everything can improve my wife brought her car in it's been 2 1/2 weeks and no one has called to give up dates on her car we have called over and over again and just keep getting a run around or they ignore our calls service it's extremely horrible and the so called manager Noe is 0 help and completely unprofessional don't recommend this place at all we will definitely be trying to talk to someone higher even though they careless about customer service read more

Where to start. Well first of all calling to make an appointment was a pain. I tried making an appointment online but the system would tell me I had no recalls for my vehicle even though I had a letter stating I had a recall. I tried calling and leaving a message for services and nobody would respond. Finally I get a hold of someone to make an appointment to have the recalls on my vehicle looked at. I stated that the recall on my trunk was broken and needed to be fixed. I was hoping to have the inspection done and the latch fixed in the same day. But the inspection had to be done first then they would fix it. Silly but okay. So I arrive at 7:30am for my scheduled appointment to have the inspection done but nobody from services was in yet. Already starting off bad. So I end up spending 5hrs there for them to change my oil and inspect my trunk latch, break lines and update the anti theft software. The service man quoted me that it should take about 2 1/2 hrs. Just a tad bit longer. So we order the trunk latch and some new plastic covers for underneath the car. Was supposed to arrive the next Tuesday. So I am waiting for them to let me know they arrived nothing. So I finally reached out to find out the latch is in but they forgot to place the order for the plastic cover. The service man said the cover would be in at the end of the month to get both done at the same time. I said I would much rather get the trunk latch done as soon as possible. He helps me with scheduling that, okay great. I arrived for my new appointment at 7:30 again. This time the service team is on time. Cool good start. The guy tells me it should only take 2hrs but 5hrs later it's finally done. So I am frustrated to say the least. So on my drive home from the dealership I call to cancel the plastic cover order. And the parts gentleman tells me it's already arrived and it's just waiting to be put on!!! Say that again. So you guys just like wasting peoples time!! In Early May of this year (2022) I bought a new Kia EV6 from Bert Ogden Kia in Harlingen. I knew they were scarce and therefore was willing to pay above the MRSP. My wife who is not well was with me. Because of that I guess I was not watching carefully enough as we suffered though the headache of signing all the documents. What I realized in the next couple of days was that they had charged me with a high interest rate though I have excellent credit and added a very expensive gap insurance since the value of the car was more than it's worth. I quickly got a new loan from my Credit Union at 3.2 percent less than the one from KIA. I also went back to cancel the extremely high Extended Warranty and Gap insurance. I have been waiting almost 4 months now for them to return my money. I have called and visited the dealership in person on numerous occasions and heard any number of excuses including that the entire accounting department had walked out. But still no check. I went in to fix a sensor, but instead came out owing $85 because my headlights were "now blown" and "not covered". After calling KIA corporate, they verified that my headlights were indeed covered by my warranty. But even they didn't want to bother calling Bert Ogden. They've never had positive results with them. The customer service rep said he was not going to waste his time calling them because he's never been able to resolve any issues with them. He said "let them fix what they need to fix, send me the invoice and KIA will reimburse you." Now, let me ask you how bad is it when corporate doesn't even want to deal with one of their own branches? I write this review now as it was the last straw. They have pulled similar stunts in the two years I've been coming to them for maintenance. Kia is a good brand. Too bad Bert Ogden is giving them a bad name. read more

Where to start..I confirmed with Dru Pena two cars yesterday for viewing and potential purchase today. I drove an hour to this dealership only to be told that neither vehicle is there or can be located. I'm told by Mr. Leija that he wants to "make it right" as I'm looking to buy TWO NEW CARS. Daniel, our sales consultant, was really good but that was the only positive. They take my quotes from another dealership and lowball them by almost 3-4k each. The sales manager JP came out, and performed a master class in screwing up. They were so hard up on the K5 I was going to buy they ignored I told them worry about my wife and the Carnival she was looking at. JP ignored the fact they would get SIX CARS out of this transaction and was hard stuck on $3k total difference. He quite literally SCREWED THE POOCH ON A GUARANTEED SALE OF TWO NEW CARS!! What is even funnier is that one car was going to be purchased outright right then and there with the other being financed. JP literally cost them that sale and incoming inventory. Bravo. I'll be looking elsewhere to buy. This place was literally a sh*tshow, and as a disabled veteran, that's saying something. read more

9/18/16 Their Service Manager went out of his way for us, as we were traveling from Houston to south padre island, and the a/c in my Newly bought 2014 Kia Sportage (Bought in Houston) Three weeks ago stopped working. We called and the manager (Tom I think) said to bring it by. Less than a hour they had Diagnosed the problem as a faulty a/c sensor, the part was ordered and we brought the car back Friday morning, For the repair, less than an hour!.. My vehicle was sent here after the flooding on June 20. They received the car the following Monday BUT it wasn't until today that a mechanic looked at it. This was after multiple calls from both me and the insurance, in addition to stopping in person after the continued lack of action/any sort of communication on their part. Today we stopped back again and they claim there is ZERO flood damage to the car and it only requires a carpet cleaning. The car has been sitting in a lot this ENTIRE time with water in it. (Water level reached the dashboard of the car). The service manager Paul was rude/unprofessional and raised his voice, along with the mechanic that barely began to inspect the car today. Due to their negligence my car insurance can no longer extend a rental car (they gave KIA two extensions prior to this to exam the car). read more

We recently bought a car from this place and the terms and price were awesome. BUT it seems that finance need some major work. We bought this car in 12/17, and as of yet we haven't received any of the paperwork we signed or any kind of proof we are buying the car. I have called several times and get the same answer I will call you back when we find them. As of today 1/17/18, no paperwork. I guess my next move is the BBC and file a complaint. Too bad they have good vehicles BUT management and finance department need training or replacement. I was going to buy a second vehicle there this summer but anymore. Trying Gillman this time.
