I don't understand the hype of this place. It takes forever to get your order. It's a dirty little shack that obviously is not clean or sanitary. The hotdogs aren't good quality and were hard. They got mad when we ordered fries because they said it takes a long time. Don't put that stuff on the menu if you don't want people to order it. read more

I drove by here during travel for work last week, and it caught my eye. Brought the family out this weekend and we weren't disappointed! I had the chili cheese dog & some fries, the wife split a footlong with our son, had some nachos & cheese, my daughter had a cheeseburger, and the kids split an order of mac n' cheese bites. We also had some Turner's Iced Tea and some apple juice to drink. We had a LOT of food for not very much money, and it was delicious. I think I found my favorite chili cheese dog! The place remided me of the Red Caboose on Rte. 51 but with much more variety on the menu. There were a few tables inside but we dined outside on a large picnic table with some other customers. I just love it here, I come from a town where Exclusive Dining is the norm and Nuevo Cuisine is the end all and be all of menu options. Sadly I compare all hot dogs and their chilli to Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe so it doesn't quite stack up, as it is more of a meat topping than actual chilli. Im going to start by saying dont judge a book by its cover. Berts is a shack along side the road. That you have to stop and eat at. Hotdogs are featured, footlongs served on a paper plate. My favorite is chilli cheese mustard onion. Shakes are killer! Burgers are made fresh. There is usually a line and everthing is made to order so if you are getting something other than just a dog and a drink you will probably have to wait a little. It is so worth it though. Everything here is low cost for what your getting its cheap in my opinion. If you are near Atlasburg pa ( burgettstown ) its a must stop. Best dogs and shakes around. read more

I'm going to tell you just how good this place is. We work in the city of Washington itself and closed the doors just to drive out here (nearly 35 minutes) to get lunch. They are decently priced and have a great variety of food for how small the building is. If you're headed out to a concert at the pavilion this is THE PLACE to stop beforehand. Get yourself a dog or a nice greasy burger, some ice cream, great fries, etc and chow down. It's an absolute dive but that's the awesome charm of the place also.
