You order at the counter, provide them with your name, and they call it out once your order is ready. I got a hot dog, a cheeseburger, and a chili cheese fries, I finished almost everything except some of the fries, I would say the small prices reflect the portion size, so definitely keep in mind when ordering if you are a big eater! There's not much to say about this place other than they have a small menu of classics, and they're doing it pretty well. I personally enjoyed the cheeseburger more than the hot dog, but the chili and cheese on the fries were pretty good too. The service was quick, the food was good, my meal was filling, no complaints! My mom and I needed to head into Moon yesterday, and on the way home, we stopped at the Moon Brighton Hot Dog Shoppe location. The staff was very friendly, and they'd taken the proper precautions to ensure everyone's safety during the pandemic. The only thing that bothered me was they allowed the customer behind us to enter without wearing a mask, even though there were signs posted saying that you must be wearing a mask to enter. Cooked flat and crispy without sacrificing moisture, when diners have their burgers topped with their unwaveringly savory and mildly sweet chili and diced onion, The Redhead weeps for her father's larger burgers fall beneath The Frank's fresh ground might. Have that same red lava ladled onto a batch of and ideal hay-pile of their slightly brittle french fries, and your troubles will melt away for a short time. And yes, most of everything BHDS puts out is prepared daily and freshly, either on the premises of each satellite or at a central processing facility. This isn't gourmet. This isn't Franktuary or Station Street gouging the upwardly mobile with pretension, gentrification, trendiness, and sheer fraud. This is just honest quick-serve food made the way it used to be 50-60 years ago, well before The Clown became insane with wealth and power. BHDS doesn't try to be anything it is not and comparing it to more upmarket restaurants of its kind is foolish and lazy. The French fries are prepared fresh, as soon as you order they throw a new batch into the deep fry. Walked into the Hot Dog Shoppe with 3 other strapping young beautiful college girls. Manager completed my physique and was especially enthusiastic about my luscious locks of hair and additionally complemented my beautiful friends. It was my friends birthday so the manager made the dude who was poppin meat on the grill sing happy birthday and I'm pretty sure he snuck some extra chilli on the dogs. Staff was overly friendly don't but some people don't like complements so take it at face value. The buns were clearly the best part of the meal and were rather moist yet crispy.
