Got food poisoning twice. When I told the head kitchen lady, her response was "I probably should have thrown it out"

Serves minors with fake ID. Always minors in here well it finally happened BERLIN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) -- It was dark on the long country road where two pickup trucks crashed and rolled very early Saturday morning. Intoxicated teenagers were driving both vehicles, according to the Saint Clair County Sheriff. Several teens were ejected including one who was pinned under a truck. He sustained minor injuries but another male teen suffered critical injuries and was transported to Beaumont Royal Oak where he was placed on a ventilator. It's believed the six teenagers had been drinking at a local bar using fake identification. Sheriff Kings said deputies went to the Berville Hotel Bar & Grill to talk to any witnesses and conduct a liquor license inspection. Deputies discovered other minors on the premises also using fake identification and consuming alcohol. That information has been turned over to the Liquor Control Commission. read more

I'm surprised the state hasn't shut this crap hole down, this place is a toilet, the wait staff are very rude and don't know about customer service, Crystal & Sue were working and are definitely on some kind of drugs, the smoke from cigarettes is overwhelming, when you open the door to go in you walk into a cloud, the food is very questionable and I'm sure it's out of date, I had a slim Jim and it tasted like a dirty dish rag, one bite and tossed it. I complained and they offered something else but my appetite was shot after that, when we left the customers (locals I guess) were saying rude comments to us as we walked out, when we got outside there were guys (locals I guess) trying to start a fight with us. Stopped in because we were with a group of bikers on a fundraiser poker run about a year ago. Why this place got picked is beyond me. Rude waitresses, yes they still smoke inside here, very slow service, and kinda dirty, even for a biker lol. read more

The food quality and service are inconsistent - you never know what you're going to get. Some of my food like coleslaw and tuna noodle salad weren't fresh, but I loved their fries and burgers. Cash only but very decent prices. Specials on the weekend are pretty good. read more

The paper Dixie cups add a unique wax-coded mouthfeel to the Jameson that compliments the Miller Lite which provides a sensation that is incomprehensible. Nevertheless, the light film of Winston cigarette smoke that floats just below the nostrils gives the guest a consistent nicotine buzz throughout the night. Can't go wrong with this place. Beer is cheap and cold, bike nights are always a blast, and the seasonal live music makes summer nights even better. I recommend the crispy chicken sandwich. Awesome local dive that puts care and attention into their food and their service. read more

Definitely Bar Atmosphere and low lighting inside. Went Thursday for lunch and my Slim Jim was awesome! Good fries! My husband was very happy with his burger. We had been hesitant to go but glad we did. We both will be going back for lunch again. Ma'am Sue was cooking from what the waitress shared with us Went back 2nd time now and my Slim Jim and fries were awesome! My husband had wet burrito which he really enjoyed and said he get that again just like the burgers!! read more

Ok. Beware. This place exceeds the "dive bar" platitude. If you crave a really dirty joint, this is your Eldorado. They still allow smoking - in spite of the Michigan public places smoking ban, and the entire place is in need of a long-overdue steam cleaning. But the food is ok...no kidding. It just makes one wonder what the kitchen looks like. We have ordered carry-outs from here and have not been disappointed, but with this in-person visit, it was a real eye-opener. This place will disappoint you every time. Tried multiple times because theirs not many options where we live. All times food is greasy, over cooked or cold. Stopped in on Sat afternoon while out for a ride on bike. We found this place a great riding destination. It was nice to be able to smoke and have a beer in this roomy friendly bar. Staff "crystal" was friendly patrons were friendly. Also is biker friendly beer was cold.........what more can you ask for. We really like this place, they have 2 new customers. read more

This place could use some updates and a good cleaning. The staff is friendly and fast... and the food is decent... but I got the worse headache of my life being there and the following day I had the worst migraine of my life thanks to the smoke and horrible ventilation system. We will not be going back because of the smoke. Not sure how it is they still allow smoking... but they do. read more

If you want to have a horrible time and be treated disrespectful then this is your place. If you want a place where the bartenders treat you with horrible service from taking forever with anything to just being rude to CUSTOMERS, then they get offended when you speak your mind, then this is your spot. Cant imagine anyone wants to be treated poorly, anyway, place is dirty as a Porta potty. still can smoke in here, probably anything you want to smoke from the looks of everyone in this place. If I could give no stars I would, I feel like the 1 star is still too high for this place. Everyone who works in this establishment needs a reality check, same for the owner. The owner needs to consider his employees are not to high on the customer service at all. They're high on something else, probably drugs. They'd be better off in a basement on unemployment. Get some new employees and fix this turd up. Never spending any of my hard earned cash on this place again it's a waste of time and you should do the same. read more
