Capers, lemon, seafood..... it was cooked perfectly. It did not have the rubbery bite like most places. It was hot, and still had a good bite to it. One of the best calamari apps, i have probably ever had. Entrees... I had the firecracker chicken pasta and a wedge salad. The wedge was... interesting. It came out with the standard lettuce wedge, but all of the toppings were on the side. Slices of onion and tomato, two full pieces of bacon, and an egg. I am typically accustomed to having everything chopped and on the salad.. so i had to cut everything up at the table. It wasnt bad, just odd. BOOM! FIRECRACKER Chicken Pasta. Dried cherries, sun dried tomatoes, asparagus, spicy pasta sauce.... man.... this was delicious. It was actually so good, I contemplated on getting one to go for my fiancé to eat. The tiramisu was cold, coffee, creamy, delicious. The churro cake was a perfect contrast in warm cinnamon, savory, sponge.... they were both great options. Maddy did an excellent job. At $10 for a1/2 lb burger and fries, especially ones made this well, This is a great deal by any standard! I also got two cocktails, an old-fashioned and a margarita. The old-fashioned was just OK in my opinion and needed a tad more sweetness based on how I like my drink. The margarita on the other hand was very good with the base being Hornito's Blanco. Nice! Price was quite fair at $10 a cocktail, but not as great of a deal as the hamburger and fries were. Relative to the business itself and the staff, the business is a no-frills blue-collar type bar/restaurant where it would appear to have a loyal clientle. It appears to be a mix between an Irish bar and a sports bar as there are a lot of TVs scattered about to watch the big game. Staff was quite friendly where the waitresses knew a lot of the customers by name. Again very nice! If you are looking for a good burger bar with inexpensive prices, then look no further than this joint. This may have been my first trip here, but it definitely will not be my last!
