The company I work for brought in cookies for appreciation week. When I saw it on the calendar, I checked out the review. The reviews were not good. My coworkers and I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and at least try it. I mean it's a free cookie. "Tastes like cardboard", "tums taste better", and as a home baker myself...it was the worst short bread cookie I have ever eaten. it was dry, chalky, and tasteless. Paid $95 for a 1/2-sheet "Celebration Style Cake" The cake looked beautiful but, that was it. The frosting was dense -like biting into fudge. The cake was dry and felt nonexistent in the mouth after each bite -and other than a lemony hint, we couldn't much taste it as any cake flavor was grossly overwhelmed by the flavor of the frosting. For nearly $100, it was a huge let-down and grave disappointment for our celebration. We will go back to purchasing our large, decorated cakes from Costco for a helluva lot less money and far superior product. Enjoy our money, Bespoke, because you will never get another red cent from our family and most likely no business from our Richmond guests who suffered through eating your cake (and many did ask where we bought it) read more

I had called about a cupcake order, but they said they were full. Ok. Very nice. So i was in the mall and stopped in - very nice lady was friendly. i had been intrigued by their "Richmond" and wanted to try it. They were out. Ok. After we left I sent my husband back in for a lemon raspberry filled cupcake. I felt like I'd dodged a bullet and my mother's 90th birthday would not be ruined by dry tasteless cupcakes such as the one I had. Way too much frosting on top and almost no filling inside. I visited this bakery for the first time this weekend. Upon arrival, as the only person in the establishment, I was not greeted. The employee only said "hi" after I did. She didn't bother to enlighten me of their products, or ask if I even wanted anything. Though my cupcake was dry, it wasn't until later I became very ill. I didn't think of it until after I was sick that the cream cheese frosting on my cupcake was served room temperature from their case. Since I was there in the evening, it probably had sat in a room temperature case all day while it should've been chilled as it contained dairy. read more

The ladies running this place are so sweet and personable. I really felt like they appreciated my business. I had a lemon scratch cake cup and it was wonderful. Very lemony. I also had an iced coffee and it was the best cold brew I've had in a long time. Even with flavor added it wasn't too sweet and it was strong but not bitter. All around a wonderful addition to Richmond. It's so nice to have such a wonderful bakery so close with reasonable prices and friendly faces read more
