BEAUTIFUL BLACK OWNED VINTAGE STORE!!!! It's a hump tho if you don't live in the area . The gems are unmatched and the upstairs area, WHEW!!! I spent like a solid 45 mins up there going through EVERYTHING!!! I loved that there were Euro coats and jackets of all fabrics and textures. Leathers, tweeds, corduroy, suede... and the cuts, suits, FULL SUITS, shirts, sweaters; a treasure chest of goodness!!! I will definitely be back, thank GOD they were having a sale cause I got a really amazing deal y'all. Plus they offer military discounts. Incredible customer service! My boyfriend was in need of a suit but didn't want to spend full price for a tailored suit. We found this thrift store and decided to give it a try. Two floors of great inventory. Upstairs plenty of coats, suits and blazers for me. And downstairs is all for women. The owner helped my boyfriend try on different blazers to see which size fit him best and even suggested parts to wear to complete the look. The prices were reasonable and the merchandise was in really good condition. I will definitely be going back for some goodies. read more

After years of good intentions, I finally got around to stopping by this vintage consignment shop in the heart of Takoma DC. Admittedly, a vintage look is not my typical aesthetic, but I have nevertheless been planning to stop by to check out a local small business that is black-owned to boot! What a great little hidden gem! This shop is chock-full of vintage wear and accessories for men and women -- and it also has a children's section in the back. Customer service is friendly and non-intrusive. The shop has a mix of sizes and is very clean and well organized. The selection seems to be thoughtfully curated, and prices are fair and reasonable. Even though I left empty-handed on my first visit, this is the kind of place that you have to keep coming back to because their inventory changes daily. This was an absolute jewel of a find. My eye caught a snazzy number in the window so I ventured in. To my surprise I was met with a handsome well dressed Black owned business owner named James. I told him I was a lover of patterns and textures. He mentioned and pointed to the middle section of the store that everything was 50% off . This is such a great store. I brought my 3-year-old daughter and my mother-in-law for Black Friday, and we all left with special pieces: a vintage coat, a designer wallet, and a tulle party dress. The proprietor James has curated a selection of quality clothing that is easy to look through. Everything is well organized and labeled and you won't waste any time finding your size and style. I cosigned with this establishment and had a positive experience. One must make an appointment prior to cosigning. James, the owner or manager was a pleasure to work with, chooses the items, and sets the prices fairly. He was more than polite, and even helped me take some of the items out from my car parked out front, because I had so many items. If the clothes to do not sell in a specific timeframe, James allows one to pick them back up, however, also make appointment to do so. Then you must go through the items, yourself, to locate your belongings, so make sure you keep an itemized list. They do not call you when items sell, you must keep the communication going yourself, to make it work for you. James keeps his own method however, for what sells. For the items that did sell, I had no problems automatically receiving my payment, by a check in the mail. This business is very professional and trustworthy. I would cosign with them again. They also have quite a nice selection of clothes, and accessories, that are vintage, some are upscale items that are just a couple of years old, gently worn, and a few new items as well, in a variety of sizes, small, medium, large, and plus, which is refreshing. A very enjoyable shopping experience, as well as cosigning, which is unusual for most consignment shops I've reviewed in the area. Kudos to James!! read more
