I need to report an extremely disturbing experience at a Nordstrom Rack store during a recent visit with my husband. We were shopping for outfits for our son's graduation, which should have been a positive and memorable occasion. Instead, I was subjected to unprofessional, confrontational, and ultimately abusive behavior by a fitting room associate. Upon approaching the fitting room, I followed the associate's directions regarding where to place my cart, although her instructions were inconsistent and unclear. Inside the dressing room, I found a shirt that had been left behind by a previous customer. After trying on approximately seven items, I returned them to hangers and exited the fitting room. At that point, the associate demanded that I remove and hang the shirt that I had not brought into the dressing room. I explained that it was not mine. She became visibly frustrated, entered the room herself, and then shifted her focus to insisting that I return all of my items to the exact locations on the sales floor where I had found them. I placed the clothing neatly on the rack provided near the fitting room, which is standard practice in most retail stores. I declined to return the items to the sales floor, as that is typically handled by store staff to ensure proper organization. The situation escalated significantly when the associate followed me out of the fitting area and toward the front of the store, continuing to confront me. She then called me a "horrible human being" and used an additional demeaning term toward me. Racially motivated ! Being followed and verbally insulted while exiting the store was both shocking and unacceptable. I think she forgot what her job actually was and that was too curate the clothing, and to rehang them up she had the nerve to continue following me and would have exited the store to follow me. Had someone else stopped her I am a 50-year-old customer who has shopped in retail stores my entire life, and I have never experienced anything remotely like this. This interaction was not only unprofessional but crossed the line into harassment. this incident be investigated thoroughly. No customer should be treated in this manner under any circumstances. I would also appreciate a response outlining what steps will be taken to address this situation and ensure it does not happen to others. Whew weeee!! This location was something to talk about. I have been dying to get in this place for years but always on a tight schedule to get elsewhere. This was a Lion and Tigers and Bears OH MY situation! It's quite crowded in here. Not cluttered but crowded. They have soooo much stuff and it's all in order. This place could be 2-3 floors easy!! I saw all of my fav brands at great prices. They have a huge selection of high-end wear for a great price. They have a huge selection of summer, spring and winter wear. The cosmetics and body care... chef's kiss!! They have everything in every color/ scent/ size!! Cool accessories, luggage galore, etc. I did not take a gander at the shoes as I had a show nearby to attend. I bought 2 gorge blouses and a short sleeve loose fitting denim blue top. I will revisit very soon for some more shopping greatness. read more

Beware shopping here. I bought a pair of MIA sandals that was the same price listed on the brand website. Nordstrom Rack claimed the shoes were originally $69.99 and marked down to $49.97, but the MIA store has them for $49.95! I called the store and the manager did not call me back. When I called them again, the manager rudely said "Oh, so you want 2 cents back", wouldn't give me a price adjustment, and refused to acknowledge how the store is deceiving and lying to customers. Tonnns of stuff, great selection. The majority of what you'll find here is TJMaxx-esque castoff item status, but for those of us on a budget, that works. And for those of you who actively seek to spend hundreds of dollars on a single item, they've got some stuff here for you as well. $450 Jimmy Choos, for instance, which I fell in love with but did not buy. They also had some non-sale priced Burberry, Helmut Lang, etc. Only complaint is that they don't have a ton of styles fit for a younger or "edgier" crowd, if you will. A few pairs of ripped jeans seemed to be as risque as the Nordstrom trickle-down inventory gets here. My go-to Nordstrom. Most always staff is friendly. One experience where, after I had already paid, one of the staff offered my friend the $5 off for downloading the app and when I asked about it her response was "well it was right there" (referencing the sticker on the counter that advertises it. Clearly I missed it). Not only was that response unnecessarily rude but if it had been that obvious, why did she verbally offer it to my friend and not me. Hit or a miss. I once found here few items that I was so exited about finding. Since than had couple shoppings that ended with empty bags. Last one was kind of OK. I was about to give up since they didn't have my sisters size (was about to buy her a gift), when the nice sales person told me he is remembering that he had one more in stock although it seems like the Dont. Thank God there's a Nordstrom Rack downtown. Every downtown worker rejoices! It's centrally located so no matter where you work in downtown, it's a short, brisk walk to go shopping. It's two levels full of clothes and shoes. Three times now I have walked over on my lunch break to buy work shoes. The men's shoe department is large and you're bound to find what you're looking for. One thing to note is the staff are a bit odd. I've never had a positive experience checking out. One staff member was very chatty in an odd way. This location has a great stock of designer clothes but geez do the employees hate working here! I waited in line to check out for more than 15 minutes, about three people on front of me. Only two people were checking out while various other employees strolled by the registers. The cashier was less than friendly or apologetic about the wait. She also didn't spend any effort looking for the tag before rather rudely saying "this doesn't have a tag". (And even if it didn't have a tag, that's not my problem-solve it"). Ever go in a business trip and forget something like socks, stockings, or dribble something on your ONE tie or decide you made the wrong shoe choice or need a cocktail dress for a unplanned evening? I bought flip flops from Columbia MD shop, I was four days late in returning because sleepers were not comfortable. Manger refused to give me even store gift card. I was also told that now return policy is 30 days instead of 45 days. I think these company thinks that shoppers will not notice these changes, selling poor quality products and bad return policy. read more

My favorite Nordstrom rack in DC. I've been able to grab a ton of key statement pieces from the rack at an affordable price. They have such a large selection of dresses, work clothing, and shoes. Most of my wardrobe comes from this place. They have fantastic, light, airy summer items that I'm planning on wearing throughout this season. Definitely give this rack a visit. I missed the bargains and giveaways at last Thursday's grand opening, but I stopped by the following day to check out this new store. At noon on Friday, the place was bustling with shoppers. Like other Nordstrom Rack stores, this location features individual carousels of clothes organized by designer or category. Women's clothes are located near the front of the store. The jewelry and handbag sections are in the middle and the the shoe section is in the back of the store. There's also a men's section towards the back of the store, but I didn't spend much time there. I was impressed by the clothing selection at this location. I've been to Nordstrom Racks before and haven't found a single thing I was interested in trying on, but this time was different. I found so many cute tops, dresses, and pants that I had to carry them around in a shopping tote to avoid tiring my arm out while I shopped. The line for the fitting room was long, but it moved quickly thanks in part to the numerous dressing rooms (about 20). I liked that the dressing rooms are outfited with hooks that say "umm...not sure" or "absolute keepers" to help you organize the clothes that you are trying on. This location was crawling with friendly employees ready to assist customers with their shopping needs. I'm sure this staffing level will decrease once the store's been open for a while, but I hope the customer service remains at the same level. The check out process was a breeze since associates were able to ring up customers anywhere in the store using a mobile point-of-sale device. This definitely beats standing in a long check out line. I wish more stores would adopt this process! read more

I am such a British at heart, I always end up spelling it as Nordstorm and never finding it hehe I adore this place. Its crowded at lunch time, its messy and most of the time if you saw something somewhere, chances are you would not find it again the next time. Despite all its flaws this place gives me great deals. This is a good location for Nordstrom Rack and a bad location for the rest of us :) The close proximity to many office goers acts as a afrodisiac for the faint at heart who cannot resist the temptation to stop by this store during their lunch hour or on the way back home or even the 3 PM coffee break. This generally means longer lines for checkout during these times. It is sometimes hard to get quick customer service but once you are able to find someone, the service part is good where most of the employees are able to answer your question. Let me write in defense of this Nordstrom Rack. They have adjusted their hours and are open an hour earlier than usual for the holiday season, and when I walked in at 9 am on Saturday, they were ready. Workers were nice and a guy kept coming over to say hello and ask how I was. He provided "cart service" because he noticed I was having trouble balancing all the items I was interested in and all the items I was still sifting through on the racks. He also told me that anyone in green can help check me out, which I knew and always use. Overall, the employees were friendly and helpful. Many said good morning and for the two hours I was there, everyone was very pleasant. On top of that, there were some items I really liked and wanted but decided against. Now I am kicking myself because they were significantly less expensive than online. Oh well, my loss is your gain! read more

I usually like to order online , and just pick it up at the store. They are located in downtown which is really awesome, the location and size of the store is good. Now they inside could get very messy , often see a lot of people working and trying to keep the place in good conditions but I feel like the Nordstrom Racks store is very big and so many customers come each time so it might be hard to keep up . That's why they have clothes in the wrong racks . The employees seem very busy all the time and probably don't have enough time to answer questions .However, the store has great clothes and good prices.
