Best deck refinishing contractor I've ever used. Chris not only agreed to squeeze me in on a tight timeline, but he agreed to use Penofin natural hardwood oil on almost 1600 square feet of ipe wood deck. For anyone that's worked with Penofin on ipe before, it's an enormous amount of work. The wood is so tough that it requires special high-pressure washers, and the oil must be careful rubbed in and buffed off by hand to avoid pooling and turning sticky. Many won't even do it. Chris's guys were friendly, polite, professional, and incredibly meticulous with the work. This is the fifth time I've refinished this deck over the years, and this is by far the nicest looking result. And they were considerably less expensive than the others! Even once the job ended up being a lot more work than they probably expected, Chris was honest, professional, and insisted on holding to his original quote and date. But they did such a good job, I felt bad and ended up giving them about 50% more than the original quote for the trouble. They completely deserved it. Will happily use them again. read more

Chris and his team were terrific. Our deck was in need of serious help. Main support beam disintegrated and the deck started to sag. I called Chris. He came out and assessed the situation and suggest a new support beam and additional joists. Rather than replacing the whole deck, they put in the necessary work over three days and the deck is level and stable again. They cleaned up each day and saved us the cost of a full replacement. Deck was installed but there are some areas where the deck meets the exterior wall that was not sealed well and is leaking. I noticed the leak immediately after a heavy rain in Temecula and sent a video to Chris. I have contacted the company on numerous occasions to get that repaired and still have not had anyone fix it yet. I am disappointed with the level of communication through the project. Owner could have been more proactive with communication instead of waiting for me to reach out. BESPOKE is absolutely fabulous.. Bespoke came in to a barely started deck project the previous contractor really messed up. It took a bit of MacGyver-ing but Bespoke was able to correct the sloppy work gw construction had done. They somehow got it back to plans and code, maintaining all materials. Chris and his crew did a great job with the removal and replacement of our deck. We went with Trex composite decking, and wanting it to be waterproof, so Chris suggested the Trex Rainscape drainage system that has proven to be a smart solution. He also added lighting under the deck as well as flush mounted speakers and rerouted the quart heater wiring. We were definitely cost conscious and took another suggestion to go with a powder coated aluminum railing with tempered glass panels which makes the deck feel much larger, especially with the slight extension added to the front side. The rain gutters tied nicely into the systems which is a nice final touch. They did a great job of cleanup after completing the project as well. I would recommend Chris and Bespoke as he strives to understand what you want and what your project needs, and communicates well with you through the entire project. read more

Chris and Bespoke Remodelling are fantastic. I hate going through the entire process of vetting contractors and getting quotes. I think most people do. We already received a few quotes for our project but wanted to get one more. It was on a whim that I decided to put my information into Home Adviser to just "see" what would happen. Bespoke was the first reply I got back. I accepted the reply and Chris called me later that same day. I had a ton of questions (based on the last two quotes I got) and he was extremely patient and thorough. He even provided additional information about other decking options that I never considered previously. He knew the exact color palette I was looking for and said he'd be by in the morning with samples. Chris showed up the next morning ON TIME with several samples to look at. He took measurements, talked us through his process regarding our project and once again answered each and every question without hesitation. He is super polite and easy to talk to. He said he would provide us with a written quote later that day. Chris came through with his quote like he said. It was right in the ballpark of what we expected it would be and after very little deliberation we made the decision that night to give him the job. He told us he could fit us in the next week and that it would take about 3 days. Once again Chris came through. He ordered the materials and showed up the next week. His crew were fantastic and they completed the deck when they said they would. They never left a mess when they left each day. The entire experience from beginning to end was so easy and stress free. He is someone we will definitely be calling back for other jobs we have later on. We will happily recommend him to anyone that is looking for a contractor in his line of work. Our deck is beautiful and really changed the space into something we can use. Anyone considering Chris and his team for a job should really give him the chance. Out of all the contractors we have worked with he is at the top. He is the exception to the rule. He keeps his word and does remarkable work.
