Signed up for a THREE month "trial period" for $99 in September and the gentleman explained it like…read moreI'd be charged after my three month period on a monthly basis if we chose to continue. I was even sent an email stating the my initial period will end on 12/25 after which my subscription will be renewed on a month to month basis. Lo and behold, I was charged ONE month into my initial period and when talking to someone today, I was told that it would have costed 400 something otherwise. None of that makes any sense and it's pretty sh*tty for a small business to do in such times like these. If my son liked this and wanted to continue, I would have gladly continued after the three month initial period but this type of shady business practice completely turns me off from this company. PARENTS, BEWARE!!!! This place is so scammy and I'd rather look for a private coding tutor. adding a snippet of the email sent to me. Any normal person would read this is after the three month period, I would be charged. *update a bit after: Getting it refunded but still losing the $99 for the initial period and he's gone to ONE class. Can't be mad about it, only upset with myself for being duped.

Scheduling each hour is flexible, which I love, because it's easy to schedule around the family's other activities. The staff is friendly and helpful, and my son is always learning something new. My son started off learning Scratch, then Java Script, then Lua, and now he programming in C#/Unity. My son also attends multiple weeks of Summer camp each year (with weekly topics such as Roblox Game Development, Minecraft Modding, and Lego Robotics). My son has food allergies, but the staff is really careful, so I always feel comfortable with him there. Coding is such an important skill for my son's future. I am so glad we found Code Ninjas!

Coach Nicole is great and warm with the kids, and the space is very large. They have a huge gym space for sports play and obstacle courses (which the kids can design and build) as well as a second obstacle course area and a separate trampoline room. In addition to the 3D printer and VR headsets, there are lots of Legos, circuits, and all sorts of build and design type activities. My son came back exhausted every day. I also saw a noticeable improvement in his confidence and abilities in navigating obstacles at other play gyms we have been to since. It's not the cheap camp, but it is well worth the price. We will be sure to come back and sign up up for additional sessions throughout the year.

This program is a complete SCAM. Do not register or pay for your child to attend. If you need to…read morecancel, it is not a "fee." They stole close to $3,000 from us without a single service rendered. Save your time, money, and a severe headache by googling their reviews (multiple different names, NYLF Pathways, Envision, etc.). Speaking with their customer service department made it extremely clear that they do this often. Complete scam.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my deep…read moredisappointment and concern regarding my daughter's recent experience at the Envision by WorldStrides Engineering Conference held at Georgia Tech University. Given the program's reputation and the high cost--over $5,000 including airfare--our expectations were for a well-organized, enriching, and professional event. Unfortunately, what my daughter experienced was profoundly lacking in planning, structure, and value. Day One: Students were instructed to arrive early in the day. My daughter, along with a few others, arrived during the designated window and was transported to Georgia Tech, where they sat in a gym for six hours playing Uno. There was no structured activity or lunch provided. Though she had packed snacks, her suitcase was taken and stored in a location she was not allowed to access. Upon being allowed into their rooms, students found there was no hand soap provided. By day three, a college student staff member went to a store to purchase some for the group--completely unacceptable for a program of this scale and cost. Day Two and Beyond: Workshops were disorganized and lacked basic resources. Materials and handbooks that Envision promised would be provided did not arrive until day four. College-aged counselors repeatedly apologized to students for the poor quality of the programming and the missing supplies. The educational content presented was superficial at best--featuring tools like Canva more typical of a basic high school STEAM class than a college-level engineering experience. Shockingly, the speakers lacked relevant qualifications. One had never been an engineer, and the other shared that he had worked in the field for only one year before leaving because he found it boring. No professional engineers were present to guide or mentor the students. When students began work on their capstone projects, many of the necessary materials were missing or unavailable. Technical equipment like computers and projectors often failed, and students faced ongoing technical issues. Evenings were largely spent on social "get to know you" games for 3 hours rather than educational activities. Mid-week, approximately 600 additional students arrived, bringing the total to around 800. All of them were required to eat meals simultaneously in a facility clearly not equipped to handle that volume. During one lunch period, a fire drill occurred, and staff had no clear evacuation plan in place, creating unnecessary confusion and concern for safety. The so-called "free day" was equally disappointing. Promotional materials had advertised sightseeing around Atlanta. Instead, students were taken to view planes in a field for one hour and then spent five hours at a shopping mall. To make matters worse, staff members told my daughter that the original lead coordinator quit just days before the conference began, and the replacement quit midway through the week. Leadership instability of this kind explains, but does not excuse, the lack of professionalism and planning. Families make significant sacrifices for their children to attend programs like these. My daughter, like many others, was excited about the opportunity to learn and grow in her interest in engineering. Instead, she endured a chaotic and unfulfilling week. We ultimately chose to fly her home on day six--two days before the scheduled end of the program--because the experience had deteriorated so severely. We were not alone. Many parents had already withdrawn their children by days four and five. The bright spot was that the Envision liaison I spoke with Victor was helpful and quick to accommodate getting my daughter to the airport. While I understand that our payment is non-refundable, I am writing this to make my voice heard and to warn other families: Do not send your child to an Envision Conference. This program does not deliver what it promises and fails to meet even the most basic standards of organization and care.

Due to differences from their previous school in both teaching style and curriculum, both children needed additional support in mathematics. We have had such an excellent experience with Tutoring in Fairfax we have continued sessions throughout the summer and now into this next academic year- both students are excelling in their math classes and exhibiting confidence in their skills. For anyone seeking tutoring I would highly recommend Tutoring in Fairfax- the team that runs this organization has been highly responsive and efficient and the girls think the world of their tutor Marvin. The cost of quality tutoring in NoVA is significant but, in this case, I would say you absolutely receive what is promised. They offer both group and individual tutoring and they are truly invested in your satisfaction and in your student's experience.

They were able to hone his strengths and focus on areas needing improvement. They make learning fun and instill discipline at the same time. I've looked at other tutoring places but we chose TIF because aside from the amazing staff, principles, and depth of learning, the place is very conducive for individualized and focused learning --- they have separate rooms to help the students get 100% of attention. Laleh also makes time for parent interaction; you don't feel rushed when talking with her and she's a good listener and will work with the parents. It helps a lot that Zach, who manages the front office is always on top of things (scheduling changes, etc.). Plus, they offer a lot of flexibility in cancelling lessons ahead of time for any reason and will not charge you (unlike in others where you are locked in). If you are looking for quality for your kiddos, this is definitely the place to go.

Furthermore, the tutors at C2 are amazing! Dr. Alan, for example, got me through freshman year conceptual physics and taught me different strategies for solving problems as my math courses in school became more complex. Sean and Kate have taught me to improve my writing style and utilization of rhetorical strategies as well. The fact that they, along with other tutors offer workshops in study skills definitely helped me understand how to work smarter and more efficiently. Overall, my experience at C2 has allowed for me to thrive and excel in school. I've found myself being more confident in class during discussion and using strategies that I've learned from tutors on tests and various evaluations. C2 definitely gives you the assistance and practice you need for school, college, and real-life applications.

Disclaimer: This is the first negative review I have ever written. I have never left a negative…read morereview online, only positive when I'm happy with a business but due to how horrible my experience was with this business, I had to inform others. Prep with Jen is not really prep with "Jen". I went by the Google reviews not realizing that the most recent review was over a year ago... If you are interested in private lessons, be prepared to pay $110+ for an hour and you aren't even getting sessions with Jen. She subcontracts her sessions out to other tutors and has very little oversight over the sessions other than her being cc'd on the summary emails. They don't record sessions (even my son's wyznat tutors record sessions!), and her tutors are not as qualified or engaging as she is. She picks up the phone and talks a lot with you before you sign up, builds a personal plan and approach but once you drop thousands of dollars on her packages, she disappears and only reappears when the tutor summons her over an extremely trivial issue (rescheduling class time requests in our case). She isn't interested in customer service and is only concerned with maximizing her tutors schedule with clients. I would not recommend at all - not only was the tutor not worth the rate, her customer service was horrible after we signed the contract UPDATE: In response to Jen's response, her claims are bogus. Her tutor wasn't happy that we asked to reschedule 3 times out of 8 sessions because of 1 time having the flu , one time a serious car accident and 1 time an unforeseeable conflict! Rather than picking up the phone and discussing with the family, Jen claimed my son was unengaged which was absolute lies! How non empathetic is that?! My son is an honors student with 4.3 GPA so forgive me if I think you're claims are bogus... She has zero evidence to back up her below claims, as my sons score already improved but majorly due to his own studying and not because of her tutors sessions which pretty much was a project management approach of watching my son complete assignments rather than truly explaining concepts. Although we accommodated changes in timing by her tutor for 5 sessions, her tutor for some reason didn't appreciate 3 reschedules and then made these bogus claims of unegagement to Jen that she decided to not even validate with the family. If you want personalized instruction with a tutoring organization that is invested in your personal success, this isn't the place for you.

This score was a massive 300-point improvement from my PSAT that I took the year before. Initially, Jen's class helped me to familiarize myself and solve the different types of reading, grammar, and math questions, giving me the initial bump to the 1450 range on a practice test. Then, she taught me to be more vigilant regarding the more deceptive questions, ultimately allowing me to get consistent scores in the mid to high 1500s on the College Board practice SATs. Throughout the process, Jen was very accommodating and answered all of my and my parent's questions about the DSAT.
