Rode into Best Auto Spa on a friend's recommendation, after hitting a bump in the road and getting in my head about damage. A technician raised my car onto a lift and assured me that there was nothing to worry about. He was even decent enough to show me a computerized model of all the inner workings of the car. My issue with Best Auto Spa was with the car wash. I tipped two car cleaners REALLY well and begged them, with clasped hands not to forget to clean inside the cup holders. Self led me astray coming here . Take a walk with me ppl...so when you get there they'll ask what wash package on the wall you want...I told them a hand wash & the interior cleaned...but if you've reached this far at this point just tell them "Do whatever you want" because that's exactly what they're about to do. Your money is done right here...finito. Let's keep walking though...outside waiting after no lie...7 minutes...my car was outside. Fast AF for a hand wash but cool. The guy drying the car signals that my car is ready. Half assed wash...I'm taking pictures...opened the door not a damn thing cleaned. Chat to the man back where I started & he's all "shocked" said they'll run it through again. Guess I had 7 more minutes to spare...car comes through again, this time they've actually taken my weatherproof mats out to clean...progress. Then we take two steps back as he attempts to put the wet mats back in. At this point I take his towel & give it a little dry off & toss my mats in the trunk bc I'm pissed. BEWARE OF THIS SHOP!! I called to inquire about car inspection and was met with a friendly voice over the phone. While the "inspection was going on" I looked over and noticed the mechanical removing ALL of my tires - which was odd. When I inquired on why my tires were removed and if this is normal during a routine inspection, the mechanical insisted everyone does it this way and it's been happening for a while now. The mechanic then advises my breaks are bad, back and front even though I had my breaks done 3 weeks ago .... Still giving the benefit of the doubt I asked if they could do the work, the mechanic agreed and quoted $300 for the front breaks and $300 for the back breaks. At this point it became obvious that I appeared to be someone they could scam for money - they were clearly unaware that I've been a professional driver for almost 30 years and have had hooptys to luxury cars over my lifetime. Once I started taking pictures and called my husband the mechanic became nervous, took my car down and didn't charge me for the "failed" inspection. go figure..... Just left this car wash 5 mins ago. I've been to this place roughly 10x and every time I've went the car wash has been mediocre. With that being said, today I went in telling the check in washer that I need my carpet shampoo due to someone throwing up in my BMW. When I got back my car, it was still there and my car was still not cleaned well. Issue 1: I bought mats which I thought were Bmw mats since they were in the Bmw section. Instead they were Toyota mats which I was realized when they installed them. Before I purchased, I asked them would they fit my BMW X1, he said yes. The woman who is the cashier rang them up and passed them to someone to install them. Nobody checked them, person who installed them said nothing and just put the Toyota mats in my car. I told the cashier, that they put the wrong mats in my car. Instead of giving me a solution on how I can fix this. She decided to go back and forth with me stating "oh you gave us the wrong mat, "why don't you say it was your mistake" why are you acting like we did something wrong". That whole trying to make the customer satisfied nonsense went out the window. I could have easily said, why were they in the wrong section, why weren't they checked before they were installed? But what's the point of going back and forth about this. Clearly, she is incompetent and does not have proper customer service etiquette. The manager I believe stepped in, rectified the situation by changing the mat. However, he clearly is also incompetent. Issue 2: I explicitly told them I needed my carpet shampooed. That was not done. I spoke to the manager, and let him know that my car is still dirty and he said they don't clean vomit unless I got my car detailed which is over $120. So, I told him I didn't care about the price. I just needed it done. I told him I went to the other car wash place on Pennsylvania and they have done it for me for less that $50 and he said no, mike doesn't do that. I'm sitting here at the other car wash waiting for them to complete job for $44.95. Clearly, he has no clue what he is talking about. I tipped the washer $10, paid $79.99 for the mats and car wash. Run customers don't walk. I was a long standing customer here. I drive a Chrysler PT Cruiser and went to have my starter for my car replace. Well I picked up my car and paid over 300 for the car to be repaired, only for them to totally messed up my car and now it is overheating and will not own any responsibility for doing something wrong. I am going to the department of state on this business. They refuse to repair their error and let me leave with a car that is not even safe to be on the road. We were doing business with them and spent thousands of dollars worth of work. They are not a business of good character and I'm quite disappointed that they would treat me with so much disrespect. Can't speak for the car wash, but the mechanics here are crooks ! Came here with my boyfriend for a NYS Inspection yesterday, and was told the inspection failed due to my brake system. The mechanics wanted to charge me $600 dollars to order new brake pads through them not including whatever labor they would have charged. Clearly they overcharge 2x the price as we were able to purchase the brake pads for less than half that price at an auto shop and get them repaired with another trusted mechanic. When I came back today (by myself) for my car to get reinspected, they now made up that my back tires need to be changed and asked if I wanted to purchase new tires. Now why I ask, wouldn't this be said yesterday if I had an inspection literally the day before if there was actually something wrong with my tires? These guys are scammers who want to force you purchase services under their shop for double the price. I've been here twice and after my last visit I can say that I like it. During my last visit, I went early in the morning, got the VIP + hand wash and was satisfied. I like that there is ample space for multiple cars to be attended to post washing. Each person drying has their own bucket and focuses on one vehicle. No tag teaming. They also don't slap a rag over your car and rush you off half wet, or half dry (whichever you chose to look at it). The indoor waiting area is clean and practical. It allows you to watch television or watch your car get finished pampering. The staff at the counter have always been courteous and pleasant. I appreciate that and will be back. I noticed that after washing my car, I have to point out things that were overlooked or not done well.....smudges on the exterior that wasn't cleaned/wiped, not vacuumed well, interior not cleaned (dashboard, door,etc). This is the best car wash I have visited in Brooklyn and I visit regularly. It gets 3 stars rather than 5 stars for the service at their inspection and servicing stations. They offer free car washes if you get an inspection or oil change, but after two occasions spent waiting for hours (plural) for an inspection from an incredibly RUDE employee, I will never again go there for anything other than a car wash. The person who handles inspections did not just offer incredibly poor customer service, but is a truly rude and miserable person, lacking basic human etiquette. I was told to leave my car at the service station and leave my name and number. I was told it would take 1 hour for me to receive an inspection. I came back 1 hour and 40 minutes later and the employee rudely informed me that he hadn't gotten to my car yet & did not bother to give me an estimate. I left. The manager of the auto wash told me that even though his employee had advised me to leave my car there I should have stayed and waited in my car...for an hour. Never again! If you are looking for a great hand car wash, head over. I use to love this car wash because of how detailed they were when they cleaned your car. BUT NOW. I honestly don't care for the service. The workers have became rude and they don't come off to be so appreciative of your supporting their business. It does get crowded on the weekends, but I used to get up bright and early on Saturday mornings to beat the rush. The car wash is simply overpriced. A Deluxe Car Wash is $27.99, add a hand wash and it up charges $7. For that price you get a decent wash outside and a very underwhelming cleaning inside. There's no washing the rubber carpets at this price point, no Armor All in the interior, no leather conditioner either. My total was $38.10 after tax. Horrible customer service horrible everything. Took my car in because two of my break lines were finished. While they worked on that they tried to tell me my gas line was leaking it was pouring out when they started working on the lines told me it was leaking since last night. I know that was a lie because I watched as they picked the car up no leaking. Fine I let that slide b cause I seen all the rust and knew it would happen sooner then later so they replaced that. Now the good part after waiting almost 5 hours I get the car back took it to work realized the emergency parking break wasn't working. Now let me tell you I took this car into the shop with it working because I had no other way of breaking the car because my break lines were busted. So I take the car back to show them the emergency break isn't working they tell me they have nothing to do with it. They don't know what I'm talking about. Excuse me how could you tell me you have nothing to do with it. They never once said let me check it out let me see if I missed something. They tell me they have nothing to do with it. And they don't know what I'm talking about. Wow. So they send me home with two new break lines a new gas line and no emergency break. I figure they are trying to have me come back to repair that.
