    Receipt for oil change.
    Ramone D.

Used to come here for years with my last two cars over a 7 year span. They now charge 25 dollars for a oil change with my own oil and filter! Will find somewhere new to go.

Here is my experience with my 2004 Saturn Ion CVT transmission. The rebuilt transmission they sold me failed within 4 months of purchase. However, they did honor their warranty and even went beyond what was required. In the warranty way down in the fine print, there was an exception which stated that the transmission chain of CVT transmission are except from the parts warranty. While this it just plain stupid (what else would fail?) they at least fixed it without trying to charge me to fix it. Furthermore, they covered the shipping charges to and from their facility ($270). I only had to pay my local transmission shop several hundred dollars in labor to remove and reinstall it. After they repaired it, I drove the car for two days and the chain broke again. This time I sent the entire car to Brooklyn (which cost me more $$$). Rami agreed to do all the labor of removing the transmission, fixing it, testing it, etc. I have lost thousands of dollars and have been frustrated to no end. I've been without a car for perhaps 2 of the last 6 months dealing with this issue. But I honestly don't know who to blame. Rami or Saturn for making a horrible transmission. All I know is that as soon as I get the car back, I'm selling it and leaving this nightmare behind me. Rami has lost as much money on this transaction as I have. So it is hard for me to point fingers. I'll let you be the judge.

I was told the car would be ready in few days, but it ended up taking over two weeks with no communication from their side. I had to keep calling to get updates, and each time, I was given a different excuse. When I finally got my car back, the transmission problem wasn't even fully resolved, After spending a significant amount of money, I still had the same problem, I went back to him again after 8 months and he took everything apart and charge me again the same amount and he was so nasty to me it's unbelievable. he's a scam bag big time. I'm frustrated with the lack of professionalism and the poor quality of work. I cannot recommend him based on my experience, and I will not be returning. Stay away from this guy as far as you can.

Now Enter: Wesley A.K.A Sir Grover of the Five Boroughs. Calm. Grounded. Knighted by competence alone. He assessed the situation with the steady presence of someone who actually knows what they're doing. No theatrics. No posturing. Just focused, skilled work. The kind that immediately lowers your blood pressure because you can tell you're in capable hands. THEN! ...he transformed into Oscar of the Ethical.Gruff exterior energy, heart of gold. No upselling. No pressure. No weird "trust me, bro" fog. Just honesty, boundaries, and a clear sense of right and wrong -- which, in New York, is a spiritual experience, especially after this devastating snow storm, especially in these times where common sense ain't so common and people hoard common sense like toilet paper during Covid. And FINALLY he revealed his final form: The Count of Clear Explanations. One... clear explanation. Two... clear options. Three... a human being who understands what's happening to their own car. He broke everything down in actual layman's terms without making me feel small, slow, or clueless. I walked out understanding what was wrong with my car and why -- which is rare enough that I almost cried into my MetroCard. What stood out the most was the trust factor. I come from a family of cabbies and with my dad on his death bed, a car that still had payments on it, I still didn't have what I needed most -- a mechanic I could trust. A guy. Growing up around cars, I knew how important having "a guy" is, and today I think I found one. I never once felt like I was being played, rushed, or gently nudged toward something I didn't understand. In a city where finding a trustworthy mechanic can feel like dating in your 40s, this was a green-flag parade. They might have canceled Sesame Street this week, but we got the real SESAME STREETZ. (With a Z if you missed it) You can't cancel Sesame Street -- Ha! Let's see you try! Like ninja turtles it goes underground. And thank God for that, because the world still needs Sesame Street. So thanks, Wesley, for reminding me what real New York is about. So if you're looking for: real mechanical competence, clear, respectful communication, and someone whose ethics don't evaporate the second money enters the room... Congratulations. You've found your guy. Ten out of ten. HIGHLY RECCOMEND Would trust all three forms of this man with my chariot again. Great value

Subject: Complaint Against AAMCO Location at 1266 Ralph Ave, Brooklyn, NY…read more To Whom It May Concern, On August 22, 2025, at approximately 8:35 a.m., I arrived at the AAMCO located at 1266 Ralph Avenue, Brooklyn, NY for a scheduled 9:00 a.m. appointment to have my transmission fluid checked. I checked in with the receptionist, Nakita, who confirmed my appointment. I explained that I needed to leave within two hours to pick up my son from school, and she acknowledged this. I asked her for an approximate cost if a transmission fluid change was needed. She replied that she had no idea. I was then referred to the office manager (a heavyset, balding Hispanic male), but when I asked him for an estimate, he gave evasive responses such as, "It might be very expensive, we have to do the complete diagnostic on your vehicle, we don't know what it might need until we do it." I simply wanted a general price range but was not given any clear information. After waiting 2.5 hours, I noticed my car had not been worked on and was still sitting untouched. I explained to the receptionist that I needed to leave and asked to pay for whatever had been done so far. She told me I could not leave until they were finished. At this point, the service manager approached me and told me: "Take your car and don't come back here. Y'all [N-words] be bugging." I told him I was willing to pay for any services performed, but he refused, saying: "Your money's not good here, just don't come back here. We don't need your kind of money." I left the location feeling humiliated, discriminated against, and deeply disappointed. Not only was my appointment disregarded, but I was also subjected to racially offensive and discriminatory treatment by the staff. I am requesting: 1. A formal investigation into this incident. 2. A written apology from AAMCO and the staff involved. 3. Assurance that disciplinary action and sensitivity training will be taken to prevent such treatment of other customers. I trusted AAMCO with my business and instead was treated with blatant disrespect. I expect this matter to be taken seriously and addressed immediately. Sincerely, Mr.Dupree

Anything higher than 1 star is someone Azi, or Ozzie asked to give him a good review. If this place is so great, why is the business always empty? This is a prime location, and I have NEVER seen cars lined up to be repaired there. I had my transmission rebuilt in October 2022 with a six-month warranty. A couple of weeks ago, the transmission was messed up again. I had the car towed, and Azi or Ozzie called me and told me it was the line to the transmission and not the transmission. He said he had already fixed it without consulting me first. The lines are not included in the warranty, which he did not replace when he rebuilt the transmission (if it was rebuilt the first time). He also said my car needed oil (which he claims he added) and other fluids and included it in the price. All of this was without my consent, and we didn't pay for it either when we picked up the car. Two days later, I heard this shaking sound underneath the car, and then the car started smoking. I thought the plate underneath the car was improperly secured when they changed the lines. I got out of the car, and all the fluid leaked out. I called him, and he said it was the water pump. Shocking, right? How could he diagnose it by phone? It could have been the radiator, a hose, or something completely unrelated. I think he damaged the water pump when he changed the lines two days prior, so he knew what the issue was when I called. Again, I had the car towed; low and behold, it was the water pump. He tried to charge us $550 to have someone replace it. That was not happening!!! So, again I had my car towed to my regular mechanic in Queens. I should have had it towed there initially, but I thought Azi would be honorable and admit he screwed up. Instead, he wanted to drain us for more money. I had the water pumped fixed in Queens for $325. I am big on a person's energy and spirit. This guy's energy is wicked, and he is money hungry. So please take my advice and do not take your car here, and if you do, do not leave your car while they work on it.
