His barber listened as he wanted a natural matte textured finish without looking overly styled and he hates gel. So, he got a low taper fade with an inch off the top and she used texture powder to style his hair which was absolutely perfect. This was the first time he was actually happy with his cut and style. We moved to this area about 2years ago and have been looking for a barber for my husband and 4 sons. We were going to the barbers shop at the Shoppes at Chino Hills, and they do a great job, but it costs $35 per head plus tips, that gets really costly, because remember, guys need to cut their hair 2-3 times a month. It's so hard to find a barber that can do your hair just the way you want it, not to mention, at a fair price. So the search for a new barber ensued. A very solid barber shop. Went in and showed a pic of a style I wanted my hair by and he, the older man with the grey hair, did a solid job of giving me what I wanted. Wasn't perfect but I gave him one picture from one angle so obviously he didn't have much to go on but i was very happy with the results. For the price this is a great barber. To a passerby, this could appear to be a bit of a hole in the wall. But inside it's well-organized, and they've done a great job for me every time. For men, getting a haircut on a Saturday can be a bit of a challenge. This is one of the few places that seems to have: A) enough barbers working at that time, and B) appropriate seating to wait comfortably. Today, I tried 3 other places closer to home first, all of which were utter madhouses. At one of them, there was even a motley looking group of men standing outside apparently waiting to get in for haircuts. By all appearances they seemed to be guarding the entrance. Time to keep moving. While everyone who's cut my hair here at Best Barber Shop does a fine job, I'm thankful that Isabel was the next available barber when I arrived. My cut came out very good. I've been coming to Best barber shop twice a month for the past 5 years. Isabel the owner WAS my barber. During that time I would always wash my hair before I went in, because all I wanted was a decent fade and that was the least I could do. In that time, consistency was always an issue. Depending on the mood Isabel was in, the outcome would always show in her work (UNPROFESSIONAL). Today was the WORST FADE EVER, (she must have been pissed off)!!! All Isabel could say was she was SORRY. It was so bad that I had to shave my head BALD!!! They always seem to be hiring some new young kids who take too long to cut your hair. Isabel is alright depending on her mood. She will sometimes cut you with the blade if you see her rushing. Great place. Got my first haircut there a little while back and could not be happier. I had Isabel and she was fantastic. I went in with a vague idea of what I wanted and she helped me sort it all out. I wanted an old fashioned haircut to go with my handlebar mustache and she gave me a great looking combover. She even straight edged my sideburns and the back of my neck. And it could not have taken more than 5-10 minutes. You really can't beat a great haircut done quickly for such a low price. This is a bad review solely for the girl that cut my hair, not the shop in general. Moved to the area 1 year ago and been to a few barbershops around the area. 4th time here and my guy in this shop usually cuts it well. This week my usual guy was busy and the lady by the register cut my hair. She did not seem to be in a good mood. Seemed mad that I repeated what kind of cut I wanted. She jabbed at my head with the clippers like she was racing against the other barbers to see that she could finish faster while obviously making my skull just hurt. So instead of talking to me or making small talk, she grills her own employees (I'm guessing she owns the shop) and asks how much they are each charging for their clients while getting a hair cut. Unprofessional and it seems like there must be some trust issues there. She finishes the haircut in 5 minutes. She is done even though others started before me and she was proud of the bad cut she gave and scoffing at the others for taking long. Oh and she shaved my neck and cut me in 3 places. Didnt even shave around my ears. Good thing she didnt or else I wouldnt have an ear. I get home and see the fade isnt blended at all. It looks like an inverted pyramid. I recommend the shop, just not this lady as the barber. read more

I've actually never written a review before, the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they have free wifi! I came in with my boyfriend and they didn't ask if we wanted a hair cut, didn't even really say hello, just kind of looked at us until I told my boyfriend to take a seat, they didn't ask if I was also cutting my hair. And yes I understand women rarely cut their hair at a barbershop, but I have a pixie cut, and all of the other barber shops I've gone to at least ask. A few minutes after me an older couple came in and the gentlemen said he didn't know how to cut women's hair, which explains why no one asked me if I was going to cut my hair, ok this wouldn't be such a big deal but your sign says women's hair in bold. Also this place does not accept card!!! Fix this on your business information! It is the only reason I came here because I didn't have much cash on me. You really need to hire people who know how to cut hair, know how to say hello, and you need to update your business information. read more
