I've been coming here for a few months now on and off. Mr. Kim is great at what he does. He's been helping with my sleep/anxiety/stress etc. Every session I fall asleep for about 20-30 minutes. If you want the best acupuncture doctor then look no further,Dr Kim is your doctor. Not only are his treatments the best but this is a doctor who cares about his patients. If you miss an appointment ,he doesn't get upset instead he calls to see if you are okay. If your primary doctor feels something is wrong with you, he is looking too and holding your hand reassuring you that everything is going to be all right. A few months ago my mother had a stroke and I had read multiple articles on the positive effects of acupuncture on stroke patients dealing with pain. I researched numerous places and found this location. After reading that Mr Kim had experience with Stroke patients we decided to give this place a try. My mother had been experiencing a lot of pain and a few other side effects from the stroke. We now have had 5 appointments with Mr Kim and I cannot write enough amazing things about him. Mr. Kim has an energy that puts the clients at ease and makes them feel comfortable and relaxed. My mother had a fear of having needles placed in her but Mr Kim placed the needles in a manner that my mom felt no pain. He is super gentle, very knowledgeable, and professional. It is completely evident that he has experience with stroke patients by the way he works with them. My mother always feels a lot better after her treatment and it is the one appointment she always looks forward to. We continue to come here as my mother continues her rehab and have full trust in Mr Kim and the advice he provides. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone. read more

How many ways can one person say, "hey, thanks Dr. Kim for fixing my chemo symptoms"? He did. I swear. I started coming to Dr. Kim while I had a break between my treatments. After finding him on yelp and finding that he took my insurance, he will not be able to get rid of me. Ever. I don't even know if I'm supposed to refer to him as doctor, but I do because I'm pretty sure he fixed me more than any other doctor (okay, except for my oncologist). After going to him three weeks in a row to work on my digestive track to prep it for chemo I continued to go to him while I was going through y treatments and I did not experience the same sickness that I had experienced during my first four months of treatment. I actually still go to him to do maintenance for my health. I'm not going to lie and say I didn't feel a single needle because I did, but it's very okay considering how much better I felt and continue to feel. After sticking me with the needles, I get to rest for 30 minutes and while I'm never quite sure if I've fallen asleep or entered some level of relaxation that feels like sleep it's all fantastic. He's been able to tell when I've had medication-induced hot flashes and when I've had muscle pain that I didn't tell him about. Amazing. He also makes great suggestions as to what to eat for certain symptoms. I'll be taking my mom to him soon and have recommended him to anyone that looks in my direction. Cheers. read more

Dirty furniture in the waiting area. No soothing new-age music in the treatment rooms. Thin walls between the treatment rooms. Nobody minding the front desk. Dr. Kim does everything himself. That can be a lot for one person to keep their mind on---ALL the treatments, ALL the phone calls, ALL the billing, ALL the new patient paperwork, ALL the appointment scheduling. ALL the cleaning and prepping the treatment rooms for the next patients. I've been to a few really excellent acupuncturists through the years and I didn't get the same feeling of total mastery from this gentleman. I'm glad the 5-star reviewers are getting what they need from him, sincerely. For me, I thought he gave me a very minimalistic set of needles for all the things I laid on him---I had a lot of issues on that visit. I didn't have a great result in the days following the treatment. In fairness, I know sometimes it takes some follow-up treatments to see significant results. I just wasn't feeling any magic in this office and didn't re-book. read more

I was looking for an Acupuncturist near by. The pain in my lower back made it very hard to drive. As soon as I sat in my car my lower back was in agony. I needed to find an acupuncturist fast and they needed to be very close since I couldn't handle more than a 5 minute drive. I went to Yelp to find an acupuncturist in Burbank. Dr. Kim and The Living Acupuncture Clinic had great reviews so I called him and went to see him a few minutes later. Yae! If you are looking for a great acupuncturist, look no further. I saw the reviews here on YELP and saw he was covered under my insurance company. Dr. Jung is a sweet man. He knows what he's doing and makes you feel comfortable. I'm in the process of balancing my 'chi.' I feel a slight different but I'm sure with more sessions it will be great. He's real cool about the insurance too. It seems like he wants to work with you to get the care you need and find ways for the insurance companies to cover a lot of it. read more

he was my first. acupuncturist, that is. and i'm glad that i went to him. he's a very sweet, gracious and nurturing man that knows what he's doing! no lip service here. straight up facts, people! i went to him in urgent care of a toothache that i thought was going to kill me (not to be overly dramatic). it was a friday and i couldn't get in to a dentist until the middle of the next week. to make matters worse, i had to go out of town that weekend. i called jung up and asked if i could get in that evening since he's open until 7pm. he advised that he was already booked up but told me to come at a certain time after closing and he'd see me. i was worried that he wouldn't be able to make the pain go away but thought it was worth a try anyway as i'd gone to him for other things and have had great results in the past. he did the acupuncture treatment and a head and neck massage afterwards. i gotta be honest, i was still in pain after the treatment and asked him if there was anything else i could do. he taught me a couple of neck massage techniques and advised me to keep taking something for the inflammation. about an hour later, the pain was gone. for the next several days the pain came back a couple times but only slightly and after i took an advil i was fine. i was in shock that it worked but i gotta hand it to him. if you want effective acupuncture, go see him! read more
