All aspects of customer service at this location is quite poor despite what other reviews say. It's just hard to have the people there understand what I'm looking for, including the Geek Squad. There's also no point whatsoever in calling them. Don't even bother. The automated voice machine is boring and useless for trying to simply speak to an employee and not to mention that once you finally get put on hold for them to answer, you're in a queue for an eternity. I waited for 20min or more, and I still didn't get answer. If you want something done or answered, find another location or a different company. It's real bad when other car electronic stores are open morning till evening but Best Buy have their car install open at 5 or 6. When the Home Office think they are open somebody slacking on their job lesser shops taking your business Best Buy you losing money in Abilene, TX. I have bought every electronic that I own from Best Best ... I currently have 7 TV and 8 working function -ing computers not to mention the number of computers that are no longer with us... historically I have each computer 'cleaned up with anti-virus and any programs installed' prior to walking out the door to insure everything in correct... process normally takes 2 hours--- I've done it many times-- bought a $700 dell and asked for same procedure --should be noted bought computer for adjusting work in Florida-- total devastation out there-- I just needed a little help for me to help others!! BB comes back with going to be 2 days!! For a 2 hour job-- I also have the yearly $100 for geek support.., talked to manager no apologies or explanation.. they have totally changed from a small town,helpful, we're all working together favorite store to ... sorry bout your bad luck we're a big corporation and certainly don't need YOUR business --- Been nice knowing you Abilene Best Buy --- you're ridiculous !!! read more

Never have the theatre department install surround sound in your property. This is what will happen. They will forget the paper templates in the speakers above the metal casing, they won't wire all the speakers. they will leave their tools in your attic. you will think the paper crackling is actually bad speakers and call them back after you have discovered what the real problem is. They won't know unless you tell them and then you will give them their tools you got from the attic and they will now wire the speakers they forgot to wire the first time. if you are doing a couple of properties be prepared for the unspeakable. they will not know their inventory so do not let them choose the speakers or amp for you. the theatre manager in my case chose a disco club rack amp that will power out a club. it took a miracle for the manager of the store to get that sent back. you will need to determine how much wattage your home needs and make sure they wire all the speakers into their separator box. if the wattage is too strong which was the case for my second property it will blow the circuit channel in their separator box and they will have to come back again to rewire. if they discover that the separator box is now shorted they will not replace it they will wire speakers into your amp compromising your own personal system. you will not be able to play all the speakers you purchased for your home because they were careless, negligent and wanted to get out of there as soon as possible. they will have to come back, but now the gm over the geek squad will start finding issues with you the customer and dissuade responsibilities away from the geek techs who didn't know what they were doing to begin with. You will call and ask for the name of the legal department. they won't know what you are talking about. you will ask again and wait until you get the phone number from corporate customer service. then you will leave a message for their legal department to return your call. you will put a dispute on your Best Buy credit card because they will want to charge you to come back and diagnosis their incompetence and carelessness. this is a stupid bunch of people except for two very exceptional talents no three Dan the store manager Seth and Stephen. These people are highly cognitive they can process intellectually they can solve problems but are limited to the limited scope and sequence of Best Buy's stupid policies.
