They had us waiting for almost an hour, before telling us that was not going to exchange the tv because their employee put the tv straight up on the truck and my brother laid it down. Bought a drone and a protection plan. However, you have to legit tell Best Buy what the protection plan is for even if it's in the same transaction. The drone had a rough landing due to wind, the gimbal motor burned out over time due to the hard landing. Now, thanks to Best Buy I have a $4k drone that does nothing. I would suggest buying from Amazon or direct from Dji moving forward. Those two companies, in my experience have much better customer service. I came in with the FULL intent to get a receiver, some speakers, and some subs for my new car, and pay for the install. I ask for help in the car audio department, because I would like some recommendations and to "try before I buy" because I don't play about my stereo equipment. I stand there for 20 minutes after approaching a gentleman for help (because I'm randomly wandering around the department with that lost-customer-who-needs-help face, but that seems to not mean anything -- and I digress) and no one ever comes to assist me. The gentleman I asked to page someone sees me multiple times (not being assisted) and never follows up - never asks "did you get the assistance you needed?", nothing. I took my money and went to Crutchfield for my equipment and Pro Car Audio here in Augusta for my install. Best Buy, y'all just lost between $1500 and $2k on the sale/install. The only Best Buy in Augusta, so your choices are limited. The in-store stock is somewhat lacking as I have made many trips to Columbia to fill my electronics needs. I recommend ordering on their website beforehand and not expecting a lot of inventory at the store. Many of the shelves tend to be bare. The gaming and blu/DVD sections have a small inventory than competing stores. What they lack in-store, the pickup/delivery service is a whole different world in customer service. I found most of my needs on the website. Best Buy does not charge extra for delivery or in-store pickup. I recommend going this route and picking up the item in-store. The customer pickup where they deliver your item to your car is a lifesaver. You only have to go on the app or the website and let them know where you park. Within five minutes of parking, I had my item in hand and was ready to drive away. read more

Gave us things to consider, but still options within the parameters of what we were looking for. Short version: THIS GUY WAS AWESOME. A professional, and provides a great customer experience. I purchased items during the Black Friday sale, but my order was canceled because Best Buy couldn't deliver it before December 31. I requested to pick it up before the offered delivery date, but was told my order was canceled because Best Buy sent an email without confirming I received it. Despite this, they proceeded to cancel my order. When I visited the store to see if they could restore my order, I was told it wasn't possible. I tried to explain the situation to a female manager, but she yelled at me in a very unprofessional manner. My Wife and I bought a refrigerator a month ago and it still hasn't delivered. The salesman, "Sims" assured us it was in stock at the time. To my understanding it hasn't been a matter of being out of stock, but they have cancelled the delivery twice and rescheduled it 2 weeks further out each time. The Augusta store doesn't take phone calls...all calls are routed to India and in India they refuse to give me a manager to speak with. They did "supposedly" pass the message along for the Augusta store manager to call (but no one has called). The customer service is horrible. Once they get your money they could care less about you. I with never do business with Best Buy again. The next step is to file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. Audio, Geek Squad, and Sales areas are GREAT. Make sure to SCHEDULE your appointment with Geek squad for all your computer and etc needs. They are very helpful and forth coming with knowledge. When I didn't understand they didn't get frustrated or say it the same way. They found a way to make sure I understood before leaving with my computer. I had a older model car that I wanted to do some upgrades to. They looked at the car and told me everything I needed. They increased my value of my car with an day of good work. My husband and I went to Best Buy to purchase a computer tower and tv/monitor. It took us 10 minutes to choose and out in our cart, the tv/ monitor and hdmi cables. We went to the computer department and waited and waited, more than half an hour. No one helped us. One of the computer towers we wanted is no longer available and there are several towers that are in boxes and not on display so we couldnt know anything about them. One of Best Buy's contractors was on site trying to help various people in the computer dept .It turns out the computer sales rep was up at the front chatting and laughing with others. Be careful you know the store policy when you purchase items from this store. They won't let you exchange items that are more than 2 weeks past the purchase date, even if you have your receipt. Looked online and it said the item I wanted, in the preferred color, was in stock. I was also happy because the website stated they matched local competitors. When I got to the parking lot, I noticed they have more pick up parking spots available than any other place I've seen. The spotter in the parking lot was efficient and I witnessed a very quick turnaround while finishing up a phone call before going into the store. This location is quite clean and organized. The staff was actively working with customers. I one was in my area but that's ok because I did not have to wait for anyone to open a case to see an item. My item was not in the case it was supposed to be in BUT while looking around, I found it in a different case. I get to the register only to be told that this Best Buy will not price match to local competitors like it states on the website, when I asked the manager for clarity, all she would say is...there is a list and the military exchange is not one of them. Funny how other locations will honor the sales. If my online purchase arrives in time for Monday, I will be returning this item. read more

This is about the BATHROOM only. We went to Best Buy to look at something in the TV area. All staff were helpful while only one was more pushy than most. To get a general feel of the best fit for a TV we needed we asked several of the employees basically the same questions and others we had come up with. To weed out the true Geeks and believers of what works right v.s those only there to sell you the most expensive, I recommend talking to several people in that area. I will admit one guy wanted to sell us stuff we did not want, the second guy wasn't as sure and basically looked at the prices and if more $$$, well it was better. The third young man (who we chose to talk to after watching him talk and interact with people) gave us the most reasonable advise. I wish I remembered his name. Face I will remember. But that is not why I am commenting on Best Buy. After being there probably an hour my husband and I stopped at the restroom on the way out. Now this is the reason. Particularly the ladies restroom at around 400. I walked in and while it did not smell bad, out of the four stalls there, it was a mess. Disaster people. Toilet paper everywhere. I honestly could not believe it. It was not that someone had just come in and messed it up and toilet papered the place, it was just dirty folks. The toilet paper rolls had poor quality paper in them and it literally fell apart before it was pulled out. Come on Best Buy, invest is better products and dispensers in the restrooms! On my way out as I washed my hands, I noticed that the manager "TM" inspected it over two hours ago. But apparently was to be inspected each hour. As someone who had been in the Healthcare Industry, this place was not clean even over two hours ago if at all all day. Come on Best Buy, get it together! I was shopping here recently for Christmas gifts along with my sister. The staff was on point. During the holiday season I typically expect lackluster service from sales associates throughout the retail industry because shopping is on overload, but not at Best Buy. My sister and I decided we would grab my Dad's gift here. We browsed around the store for a while and finally agreed on a gift. It was like the sales associate read our mind. He came over to help us at the right time. He was well versed in electronics. We had several questions because my sister and I had this particular tablet in an earlier version and wanted to know why it was better now. He told us about storage, durability, and a host of other features. Just like that.... we were sold. He also added some great information regarding a few CDs we decided to purchase for stocking stuffers. Before purchasing he told us everything we needed to know about returns, warranty etc. He asked if we had any questions before the transaction even happened. I thought he was a great salesman. Additionally, the store was still very organized. Again, during the holiday season I expect everything to be in chaos, but the store was easy to navigate. They had only made a few section adjustments to accommodate the new appliances they started to sell. We had a bit of confusion because they switched the appliance and CD section. I like this location. I always find what I need/want here. The staff is great and they will go above and beyond to find a product online if it is not in store. read more

Went in for help switching from my AT&T plan to a family Verizon plan. Waited in line for 10-15 minutes to talk to someone, explained the situation, and was told they could definitely help-just needed the billing zip codes and PIN numbers for both accounts. They added me to a waitlist, so I waited in the store for over an hour for the text saying it was my turn, but once I get up there and talk to someone different I'm told it's impossible for them to do anything to help, and that the owner of the family plan has to be there in person. I had all the information that another Best Buy employee originally told me was needed to get everything done, offered to call the person who owns the family plan (and who lives 4+ hours away, so couldn't come in person), and all I got in answer was a shaking head. Overall, don't waste your time with this place. If you do, be prepared to hear something different from every employee you talk to. Worst customer service. Went to buy printer ink and an employee helped us out by looking for the ink that matches our printer. Turns out the ink was did not match our printer when we got home. We went back to Best Buy to exchange for printer ink that is compatible with our printer. We talked to customer service to exchange and they said that they can't do it since it was opened. We even said that we were helped by an employee and his manager was standing right next to him. Why would a company not own to their mistake is ridiculous!!! The story is long and sad but short version is ordered a washer dryer set, received confirmed delivery date, received email day of delivery stating they would be there between x and x time. Did they show up? Nope. Called and was assured they would be there....did they show up? Nope! So rescheduled for round two. Same confirmation emails, same result. Tracking email showed in transit. Delivery time came and went, called BB and they told us the washer was on backorder for at least three weeks!!!! They said they were having problems calibrating the screen and they would probably give me a new phone but then they decided to try with a second screen that didn't work either.
