Did a horrible job in fulfilling customer satisfaction on a product they failed to deliver or follow up on, on several occasions.

My husband and I, along with our three month old son, went to upgrade our cellphones. Everything was going great in the beginning. They had the phones we wanted in stock and all the accessories we needed. We ran into a problem when my old phone would not transfer the photos and information onto my new phone (issue with the phone not the store). We ended up in the store for FOUR HOURS with our three month old. The person who helped us, Ce-Ci, was super nice and helpful during this entire process. She made sure that we were comfortable while we waited, kept us up to speed on where we were in the process and she even made sure that I had a place to breastfeed my son. Overall, Ce-Ci made what could have been a horrible experience into a good one. read more

I looked and I looked for a tv that would fit my needs. I knew what size, what resolution and about how much I was willing to pay. I searched amazon and a host of other places before I thought of hitting best buy. I walked in and it was easy to see where the tv's are... they are all pretty much designed the same. So over I go scanning for the size I'm looking for, blinded by the wall sized tv's... I notice a couple guys who work there and wonder if they will notice me. One does and I tell him what I'm looking for and I ask if they have any open box specials. Yes we do, he says and points to the open box stuff on the floor that I was surprised I didn't trip over... it was those blinding wall sized tv's... Ok, now we are down to 3, down to 2... look at open boxes, back to displays... hmmm is that worth the money vs that one... hmmm and more hmmm. The salesmen was very helpful but not pushy and very efficient for check out. I'd go back here for sure. I knocked it a star for the open box price not being much different then the non-open box price. read more

The staff at this location are great! Each is super friendly and super helpful! Apparently I went on a quieter afternoon (though I thought that it was really busy--I guess that shows how often I shop at Best Buy!) and there were staff members throughout the store waiting for and walking with customers. I needed to ask for help from one of them to find an external hard drive (I was walking in circles trying to find one... but, if they had been a bug I would have been bitten. That was how close to them I was!) and I was escorted to their isle quickly. I was in and out of there in under 20 minutes. I count that as a win--for both their customer service and my self restraint. read more

I know nothing about computers and how to keep them running smoothly. I went to Best Buy to get my computer worked on because it was slowly going downhill and about to conk out. To my approval the Geek Squad save my computer and got it back running like new. They understood what I was trying to explain to them about my computer and what it was doing. The only complaints I have is that I had to make several trips back and forth to actually get my computer back and there was about an hour wait just to retreive my computer. They need more assistance in the Geek Squad area. But other than that, they are worth every penny!!!! read more

Poor service left after waiting over an hour to get help. Store is clean, but people are not friendly. I asked five people in the phone area for help with buying a phone. No one would help, there was only 2 other customers in the area as well. Wasn't crowded, but looked like they just didn't want to work. They need to have a real person answer the phone! I've spent over 2 hours trying to reach someone today, and even the website isn't working. I've tried to schedule a drop off for a computer repair. I keep getting a message "please enter your remote access code" after I have been through numerous other prompts. The BestBuy.com website isn't working, either. When I try to put in a schedule for a repair it toggles back to the previous screen. Wouldn't you think that a big tech retailer like this would have their tech working flawlessly, especially when so many people are having to use the computers during the Covid pandemic? I have Geek Squad protections on numerous devices for work and home, and if I can't get to them, what good does it do? Best Buy, you used to be my favorite. No longer! read more

Geek Squad protection plan is a joke. I had an issue, called Geek Squad, had a third party contractor sent to my house, who broke the TV more by cracking the screen. So an actual Geek Squad agent shows up, I'm thinking cool, I've got real help. He was very nice polite and helped with what he could. I was given an email address to send photos to that do not accept emails from me. I've been around and around for a month and a half with no resolution in sight. This is by far the worst experience with any retailer I've ever had. I have photos, emails, pictures of chats, and proof of sitting for hours on the phone. People are honestly better off at Sams or Walmart, because they will actually resolve the issue in the store. If your item is large, best Buy Augusta will not fix it in store or even let you bring it in. I have a 55" Smart TV. This isn't a refrigerator. read more

This Best Buy is decent. The customer service is definitely lacking, but the store is pretty clean, and MOST of the associates are pretty friendly. The downside to the service is mostly the fact that this location is constantly understaffed, so the associates have a hard time moving from customer to customer when they are working with one that is holding them up a bit. However, seeing as this is the only BB in the near area, obviously its the only choice if you're pressed to get to a Best Buy. read more

this is more a review for the Geek Squad installation team. Are they over priced? yes. Do they do outstanding work? yes. When you're wanting to mount a several thousand dollar TV and sound system should you let them do it? Well, that's the route I went and I'm happy with it. For the Geek Squad, you guys get 5 stars, great job and keep doing what you do. ...for the sales people at the store. ....shame on you. Granted, I'm easily upsold on electronics, but not really... I down sell myself and then just buy what I wanted to in the first place, but with that... you don't work on commission (according to you as that was the line. "i don't work on commission, but you'll need *item*" ) There is no need for buying $80 cables, $100 surge protectors, and various other overpriced things. I'm not going to bash on specific employees on here (that was in the Best Buy review) but my advice if you already know what you want. Use the website. Get it delivered. As far as Customer Service goes. This place sucks. The employee in Car Audio, he is awesome, 5/5 stars. The Manager who walked by me in a hurry, you get 3/5 stars. The 2 guys who work in computers who stared at me but did not say a word to me. The person responsible for the gaming area who was non-existent and had 6 people wandering around including myself. Every one of you needs to go back to Cust Svc training. I was ready to make a purchase today. I could not find a single solitary soul to help me. I will take my money to another location. Unfortunately, I have to shop at a Best Buy because I have gift cards. I will simply shop at different Best Buy. I am standing in Best Buy as I type this and blue shirts are walking by me like I don't exist. Poor form Best Buy on Walton Way. This is why people shop on Amazon. My Playstation 4 headset died, so off to Best Buy I went to grab a new one. I already knew what I wanted(and quite frankly half the time I know more info about the products than the employees), so I didn't need any assistance from any of the workers. I grabbed what I needed and proceeded to the register, where the line was backed up due to the fact that they only had 1 register open. I find it a bit odd to only have one register open at 6:30pm, so my 5-10min trip quickly turned into a 35-40 minute one waiting in line. I figure they are probably struggling to compete with online retailers, but lowering customer service standards is not the answer. They were able to price match my headset to the amazon price though so kudos for that. read more

The worse customer service and delivery service. I waited 1 hr and 15 min for an appliance salesman for a washer and dryer. Then the delivery service never called the day prior to confirm the two hour delivery window. The washer broke in less than 24 hrs. The next delivery date they never called again and said the washer will not be available for another 3 1/2 weeks. The store manager, Brad, seemed not to care about our inconvenience or the fact his delivery team did not call! read more

Trying to get a car stereo put in was worse than a 3 year old watching Friday the 13th when his parents aren't there to comfort him...I had a 1 pm appointment ...they didn't start on it until 3pm...then told me they didn't have a stereo that would fit my car in stock...after tearing up my dash..which wasn't put back in properly.. the customer service was below 0.. then I was told to order one online and they would be happy to install it...that was after I took the time off from work to have it done...then there prices are sky high ... We bought our washer and dryer from this location on Black Friday 2011. We went late in the evening and even though we had to wait a little while the employee that helped us was super nice and a pleasure to do business with. We also had a great experience with the delivery guys. They got our set in the house and hooked it up fast and we did not have any problems with the installation. We did run into a problem however one year later when we were packing up to move. The installers did not leave the shipping bolts necessary to move our washer. We drove up to Best Buy and Marlo, in the appliance department, was so helpful! He was very sympathetic to our situation and helped us get the bolts we needed fast. Even with the missing shipping bolts we still give them five stars because their customer service was great and they corrected the problem fast! read more

Worse customer service ever! Bought a flat screen may 26, 2012. Started having problems August . Told I had to have box or receipt. Threw box out could not find receipt. Finally found 2 weeks later, took tv in was told they would not replace it . Had only 30 days!!! They would send it off to get fixed then I would have no tv until it came back! I just had to make use of my extended warranty with Geek Squad/Best Buy. Their repair contractor no showed completely on the fist appointment. They couldn't even get a hold of them to find out why. Best Buy then needed 2 business days to escalate to a different department and find another Contractor. I eventually got another appointment with a second contractor, A&E Product Repair Services. They were 3 hours late to an 8AM to 12PM appointment. They were not easy to deal with either(i.e. automated phone messages, technical difficulties, unable to tell you when or how late their technician would be...) I Spent a total of 11 hours on two different days waiting for someone to show up to fix my washer machine. This was a waste of time, aggravating and much less than efficient. read more

I had a very poor experience with the Best Buy in Augusta, GA. Naturally, in their eyes and by their policy it was my fault and not a Best Buy issue. We were renovating our outdoor living space prior to the "toonamint" held every year in Augusta and purchased a 46" LED television along with several hundred dollars in accessories from Best Buy. The renovation took longer to complete than expected. When we opened the box for the t.v., we found the screen broken and the t.v. not operational. Upon trying to exchange it for a working one to Best Buy, we were told it was outside of the 15 day return policy and that we were out of luck. Too bad for me and too bad for them as we are planning a complete kitchen and laundry redo. They are not being considered as a supplier. I have no recourse other than the power of the pen, in this case the power of the interenet. Should have gone across the street to H.H. Gregg. Wish I had and will do so in the future. Great customer care by the General manager. We bought an open box Tv in march and I did not know it was not covered by factory warranty until it stopped working in September and called Sony . I called Sony several times and received same reply. After calling several people in Sony and geek squad, I finally called GM of best buy, Augusta, GA. I went in looking to buy an iPad mini for my son. The one on display was $299 which was what I was looking for. The guy went to get it, came back and told me, "They don't make the 32 gig anymore they only make the 128 gig." He also said he was just about to change the display to reflect this. If he already knew they didn't have them, why didn't he just tell me instead of going to get one then coming back and telling me they didn't have them? Okay, no problem. The 128 gig mini and the 128 gig iPad Air were the same price so I figured I'll just get the iPad. He goes to get it, comes back and says, "We only have the cellular version." C'mon guys, at least put something out that says out of stock so I don't walk in and waste my time. read more

Horrible Experience Ordered a TV on Friday March 2, 2018. Danny, the salesman, said that it was in stock and would be delivered on Tuesday March 5th. We planned to stay home on Tuesday but received a call on Monday March 4th that the TV was not in stock. Re-scheduled delivery for Monday March 12th. Received an email and a phone call on Sunday March 11th confirming delivery for Monday March 12th between 8:30 AM and 12"30 PM. Stayed home all morning and no delivery. Called Best Buy about 1:30 PM and, after listening to numerous phone "prompts" and being "on hold' for about 20 minutes, finally spoke to a manager who said that the TV was never even put on the truck because someone had changed the delivery date to March 15th. They offered me nothing but an apology. I canceled the order, drove to target and bought the same TV for the same price. I will never, ever set foot into a Best Buy Store again. They basically wasted 2 days of my precious life! The customer service sucks. read more

This is more of a review of the Geek Squad department than the store itself, though i would be doing a great injustice to Augustans by not mentioning how overpriced the rest of the store is (try newegg.com). In October of 2009 I purchased a top of the line Macbook Pro from Best Buy, and in hindsight, i should have gone with the Apple store. I purchased every bit of warranty they were shilling - Black Tie Protection, extended warranty, and Accidental Damage Protection. It was a $2500 computer, so i thought, "this is truly the one time i need the warranty." At just over a year later, I began to hear a rattling in my cooling fan and decided to take the computer in for repairs. They received the computer, explained the turnaround time, and sent me on my way. Two weeks later I get my laptop back. I am told that they applied thermal grease and removed some debris from the fan and that the rattling is gone. I take the laptop to my car and began to notice a number of scratches in the top of my computer. I flip it over, some sort of brown goo has stained the bottom and one of the footpads is now missing. Opening the computer, I find what i can only assume are wood shavings. I take the computer back inside, totally incensed at the damage done to my $2500 machine. I am told that a supervisor will call me first thing in the morning. Still waiting. Go with the Apple store! read more

Purchased a speaker from best buy and the online price was 249.00....when I got to the store it was 199.99...i thought that maybe they had brought the wrong item up so I questioned the people standing around and they said they were on sale to get rid of them ...I said that I would like to come back and get 2 more , one for each of my sons...they implied that this was an on going sale ...i went back 2 days later...they were marked back up to 249.00 and they were rude when I tried to explain to them abkut my prior purchase and told me that the sale ended the day before...AGAIN I was told that it was an ongoing sale..i tried calling the store...good luck, there isnt an option to even talk to someone so I called the corporate number...35 minutes and she said she could price match it and to go in and match it to Amazon prices....so before I drive to this store again I decided to look on Amazon and there is none listed at 199.99! ....so ive basically wasted an entire day and best buy has pissed off a customer ! ...if I have to pay the same price as best buy....i will purchase it from Amazon ...free shipping and no attitude from ignorant sales people ...in fact , I will never purchase anything from best buy again...and my complaints wont stop there...im warning all my family and friends thru Facebook ...twitter and my many customers that I deal with everyday...this whole situation has pissed me off beyond words! read more

This Best Buy Location located on 3667 Walton Way in Augusta, Ga was the absolute "Worse" customer service experience I have ever encountered in my Life. I purchased a laptop that would not accept my personal information at the Log in screen because of some kind of glich. I had purchased the Laptop just hours before returning to the store to get some assistance. The customer Service representative was not only unhelpful, but "Very" Uncooperative. She got the manager and "Knocked her Knuckles on the table mocking my need for assistance when i told her that I could not use a computer that I can not log into it. She told me that she could not help me and the manager just stood by and said there was nothing i could do because it's a computer. I then sought out a technician on my own at the store before he was able to reset it and work on alternate solutions. i did not have a problem with the technician, but the "Lack" of care from this store from the manager and customer care person was like none I had ever experience before. If they would have been interested in my problem, they would have got the technician asked how they could have been of service to find a solution. I guess that is simply not in their Job Description! read more

Our household has been loyal to this specific best buy for loads of items.. from charging cables to computers parts, to gaming computer accessories and big screen tvs. But today I had a very important question about an item that was on sale but once added to the cart (online) and at checkout it would be full price. I decided to call and ask if the sale was actually over or not, and compare to what their current in store price on the item was. About 25 minutes before they'd be closing up shop I called to discover that apparently your entire group of employees have decided that their shift is over and they do not have to answer the phone. If a customer walked in at 7:55pm they would have to serve them even on a Sunday when closing time is at 8pm. I have no idea why answering the telephone is any different. I let the phone ring continuously for over 10 minutes, hung up and did so again. We will GLADLY take our business elsewhere from now on. read more

If you're looking to buy a product straight off the shelf, this place is an excellent choice. However, if you are in need of computer repairs or part installations you're better off going somewhere else. Though Geek squad is admittedly very pleasant in personality, it does not excuse the fact that not only did I end up going back 6 times for the same problem (graphics card installation) over a period of 4 days, they tried to sell me additional appliances (adapters, hdmi monitors) to try and "fix" the problem. After getting fed up and voicing my displeasure, they installed a new card of the same type while I stood there, which took 20 minutes versus the day that I originally had to wait for them to install the part. After all is said and done, the card still has problems. I recommend independent computer repair stores. read more
