I prefer the Best Buy in Riverpark so much more than this one, because their selection is far more limited in my opinion. Yeah the TV's and probably the video games are about the same, the rest of the store is somewhat lacking. This store is closer to my house, but whenever I check online to see if there is something I want to get, they never have it. Even with checking for an item before I went in, the website said they had it, I got there and lo & behold, it wasn't in stock, so I had to end up going to the Riverpark Best Buy anyways. Not only that but I am not a fan of their rinky dink checkout stands they have tucked away in the corner, with the corridor of impulse crap on both sides of you. Two very nice women, and know their job inside and out, making my customer experience close to flawless. I can't say anything bad. I mean they're actually flawless. No room for improvement. At first glance, this is a basic 3-star Best Buy... CHRISTOPHER, a floor salesman, gave me a 101 on the different specs that exist between refrigerators. He clearly understands the products he assists customers with. He was able to decisively compare and contrast between different models, and also, different makes/companies. Usually this is my place but I went in to buy another 4K tv but was never helped. There was nobody in the department for at least 10 minutes. I waited and watched other workers walk around as I stared at them hoping they would assist me being I was waiting at the tv register. But no. Just workers walking around talking with each other. As an elite member who buys high end TVs almost every year, needless to say I was disappointed. I let the door man know, he said "yeah, there's not many workers per section." I prefer this Best Buy more than the one on Blackstone for two reasons, 1: better customer service, and 2: it's closer. I'm always in this place, even if i'm not buying, it just drags me in, because I feel like there's always new stuff that I want to check out. They have a pretty good selection of stuff here although it's not nearly as big as the Fresno Best Buy. TV's, movies, video games, and music are all a-plenty here (although I read that Best Buy is reducing their music selection in favor of digital music). The prices here are the norm except for their tv's which you can find the same models on Amazon for around $100-150 cheaper. But the customer service here is great, every time I'm in here, I'm asked multiple times if I need help finding anything, which is always a plus. read more

My first problem here was when I purchased a camera online with in store pickup. It was advertised with an interest free promo only to get my bill and not get the interest free promo. They say it was because we purchased online. Well I've never had that problem here before. Last week I renewed my cellphone plan at Best Buy Mobile. My phone suddenly stopped working. I called AT&T and they said it was defective and I should take it back and get a new one. The mobile department refused to help. We purchased a Samsung family Hub refrigerator in June 2020. In December of 2020 the compressor stopped working and we contacted Best Buy as we had purchased an extra protection plan. After going through several people, we were told that because it broke so early we needed to track down Samsung. We were told that it was too early to fall under the protection plan we purchased. They were extremely unhelpful and since it is the holidays we have been without working refrigerator for two weeks and all of our food spoiled. Best Buy refuses to do anything and when I call, the phone just rings and you are put on hold for over 30 minutes. I will never purchase anything from Best Buy again. read more

I dropped my laptop off at Geek Squad at Clovis Best Buy to repair a defective touch pad. When I got the laptop back, I brought it home to find that it wasn't repaired as I had expected. Understandably upset after paying $150 for a job not satisfactorily done, I called Geek Squad and reported the problem. I wanted to be seen right away, and they accommodated. When I arrived back, Wesley at Geek Squad greeted me apologetically. We discussed the options, which determined that the quickest fix would be to buy a wireless mouse and forget about the touch pad. Wesley also gave me a full refund for the diagnostic tests that were supposedly done on my laptop. Wesley also made sure that the wireless mouse worked with my laptop before I left the store. Wesley exhibited exemplary customer service and was able to help me solve my problem and relieve my frustration for a problem that was unfixed. He is an asset to your team and I appreciated his exceptional customer service! read more

I do a lot of shopping at this location because it seems to be the most convenient store for me to shop for electronics and technological items. However, most of the employees seem unwilling to help and unable to answer most of my questions. I usually end up having to research my questions online using my phone as opposed to just being able to ask an employee. I recall a specific visit to this location - the day after Black Friday, my boyfriend and I went in to take advantage of a special promotion they had that continued throughout the weekend. The manager seemed as though she was so tired of "dealing" with customers who came in regarding this sale that she treated us as if we were a complete inconvenience and basically encouraged us to leave the store and come back the following day. It was highly unprofessional and unsettling. The Geek Squad is knowledgeable but none of the representatives ever seen very happy or willing to provide a personable, positive experience. 2 weeks ago, we purchased an out of the box All in one Dell computer from the Best Buy in Clovis, CA. I don't usually purchase out of the box items, but this was a very good deal. Right away I started having problems with the screen going off and on. (Later it would go off, and not back on, that is when we decided it definitely had a problem). My husband spent hours on the phone with Dell as they went in and updated the drivers etc. Problem wasn't solved so the next step was to send it to Dell for repair which we didn't want to do since we didn't have the box or correct packaging so we went ahead and returned it. My husband told the store that the video card was bad, that the computer screen would go black and would not come back on, they returned our money. The next day we went back to Best Buy and there was the same computer - sitting there to be sold. I told the manager (I believe he was the manager since he had to do an override when we first purchased it) - anyway I told him that we just returned it because it didn't work and they were trying to sell it again! I spent days loading it with software and hours with Dell - we wouldn't have returned it if it worked! He told me it was probably a different one...I showed him where we took the sticker off the back of it and he said no, they put all the stickers in the same place, and it was probably a different computer. NOT! I told him my husband was pissed and we wouldn't ever be back...he then took the computer to the back. I bet if I went back there today it would be out for sale again. I purchased a 55' smart TV on 2/11/21 which I had good customer service. On 2/21/21 the tv would not shut off then later when I tried to turn it back on it would not go on. We had to unplug it and then it turned back on. So I called to report this since I got the warranty. I spoke with a gentleman who stated I am within my 15 days to return it. He offered for them to come out to my house to swap them out. But then went onto to tell they do not have it in stock and I need to purchase a different one but they only have ones that cost more. I declined that. He then offered to speak with his manager to see if they can transfer one from Bakersfield and swap it out when that arrived. He would have a manager call me back with an answer. I never got a call back. I called again on Tuesday spoke with Anna who stated she wrote my issue down and a manager would return my call. I still have not gotten a call back. So I called back today and spoke with Breann who refused me to speak with a manager and said she would email the general manager, store manager, and assistant manager to return my call by the end of day today or tomorrow morning. I asked for the managers names so I knew who to expect to call and she hung up on me. I bought a $4300 Samsung refrigerator, the ice machine took a shit, they come out to install a new ice maker (under warranty) the installer breaks a line and my whole refrigerator stopped working!! Nobody will answer the phone, I go to the store to talk to someone because the have a "3 day no cool" that means they will not let you go 3 days without a refrigerator!! They broke it on the 9th and I cant get a new one (that is only 3 hours away) until the 22nd!! And they won't even order my new one until they pickup my old one.. ok thats fine they picked it up 2 hours after I left the store.. now they say it takes 2-3 days to "check in" my old one then they will order it!!! My wife and I recently upgraded our cell phones. We're on Verizon and after researching the Galaxy S8+ and Note 8, we decided that it would be more convenient to do so at Best Buy. Niko, in the mobile department made our two transactions practically effortless and was a very personable and knowledgeable associate. He got us in and out in an efficient manner, and helped us with selecting (and installing) accessories like cases and screen protectors, etc. This is my "home" Best Buy store and I have had nothing but great experiences here, whether I go into the store first, or shop online and "ship-to-store." They have a great crew! There was a time when my type of experience with Best Buy was not always the case but in the last several years they have really improved and I'll be the first to acknowledge that and give them due props! I will never shop here again in my life. I received a nest Yale electronic door lock as a Christmas present. I paid $125 to have a contractor come out and drill out the hole on the door so it would fit. Went to install it and realized not all the keys on the keypads were functioning. You can not set it up without this working. I went in to EXCHANGE it for a product that works. However, they said to exchange it the box would need to be unopened or bought within 45 days. Yes, that is correct. Do not purchase Christmas gifts here to give to someone because by the time you give it to them and they have a chance to return it because Best Buy is selling products tha don't work, the time will be up. Not to mention, Samantha @ Best Buy could use a class in customer service with her poor attitude. I regret getting $400 in gift cards and giving them out this Christmas, never again. The manager Richard Darling at this location does not know the meaning of customer service. How he got and still has this job is beyond me. I noticed other yelpers mentioning him in their reviews. Doesn't surprise me in the least. Today he flat out refused to honor me an iPad exchange, even though I am well within the holiday return/exchange period. He examined the iPad quickly and simply because he did not experience the problem I did he refused to do an exchange. I tried to explain many times over that the problem was not constant but rather random and I would like an exchange to avoid any possible problems with the iPad in the future. I mentioned to Mr. Darling that by him examining the iPad cosmetically he really wasn't proving anything as he did not run any real diagnostic tests to check the internal hardware. He kept insisting that I was wrong that the iPad was in perfect condition, that there absolutely was no way it could have a problem, and that by examining it he was proving me wrong. At one point he even insulted my intelligence by saying that it was me probably using the iPad incorrectly that was the issue. There really was no reasoning with him, he was like a bratty toddler that kept saying no and trying to walk away from me to get rid of me. How disrespectful to do to a customer of 10+ years. Not only that but it was embarrassing having everyone looking at me as I was trying to explain myself because of how shocked I was by his claims and lack of customer service. Very disappointed!! I went in a couple of days ago and purchased two brand new iPad Air 2 128G and had to leave them with Geek Squad for some special installation work. When I went back later to pick them up there was an issue with part of the install. I am not a tech person so I didn't know how to explain my concerns correctly and the girl that was helping me (Kelly?) wasn't sure how to fix the issue so she went and got Cici to help. Once again I tried to explain my concerns to Cici the best I could. At this point Cici because extremely rude and made the most unprofessional condescending comment I have ever heard. At this point a third Geek Squad employee had to step in and diffuse the situation because I was so angry I was ready to start yelling. I have purchased all of my electronics from Best Buy for years and will be moving in a couple of months. I was planning on hiring Geek Squad to install my home theatre system and set up a whole home networking system in my new house but because of Cici I will look elsewhere for a technician to do the work. Best Buy/Geek Squad has lost out on several hundred dollars worth of business. If you go to Geek Squad and get Cici ask to be helped by someone else especially if you are not tech savvy. read more

The 'BEST' Best Buy Experience Ever... My wife, daughter, and I had the 'best' Best Buy experience of our lives yesterday. And hopefully this customer experience will extend well beyond the 2019 holidays and also beyond this particular Best Buy location for future purchases. Of interest to us as consumers --- we've read many marketing columns on company bankruptcies and struggling brick and mortar electronic retailers failing to turn their declining businesses around due to online offerings vs e-commerce reasons, yet Best Buy has managed to do what others have failed miserably at --- through employing a bit of old fashioned professionalism and astute customer service. Now, to our specific customer experience... My wife is a 'thrower'. Simply put, when a device no longer works properly, I find myself ducking and dodging flying electronics on the daily. In this case, it was her slow-as-molasses, memory-limited, feature deficient, lackluster performing, BLU Advance 5.2 that somehow managed to endure countless irate wife throwdowns and survive until yesterday's purchase of a Motorola Moto g7 at Best Buy. So, kudos to BLU for hanging in there. Now, upon arrival at the Best Buy smartphone area, we were warmly and sincerely greeted by Victor who assisted us in navigating the current specials of the day. Fortunately, I knew exactly what I wanted (--- an unlocked mid-ranged performance device with a 1080p display; Android 9.0 OS; a fingerprint reader; headphone jack; and a decent camera) and Victor happily complied with our wishes without pressuring us with extraneous offers. He was patient and very informed, and even applied the screen protector and installed the SIM card for my wife. Beyond the excellent customer service, we also appreciated Victor's honesty when it came to extended warrantee information. All-in-all, it was a very pleasant, informative, and comfortable experience. Btw, we just happened to purchase the very last $179 Moto g7 they had, so obviously no complaints on pricing here. Honorable mention: Josh, in the laptops section was just as impressive. He was highly knowledgeable, professional, and honest in his presentation, and provided us with a business card upon request. My wife has been wanting a laptop for a while and I've been looking at Microsoft Surface products recently. So, chances are high that we'll be back for that laptop, and also my daughter's Xbox One S. read more

We went to this location because the Fresno location has given us less than 1 Star experiences. We intended on buying around a 65-70 inch 4K TV, TV stand, and 4K Apple TV only if we received excellent customer service, which is exactly what we got. The guy who helped us said he is an expert on Samsung TV's, but is knowledgeable on the other brands also. We had him show us every single TV we were interested in and he answered every question we had like an expert. I even used a lot of technical terms to test him, and he knew everything I was asking about. He listened to what we were looking for and showed us other TV's accordingly, never trying to push anything on us. We went at the right time too because they happened to have a special order 7100 series Samsung 4K 65" TV priced around $1,400 plus tax that was returned by the customer due to a small scratch at the top left of the screen that could barely be seen unless you really looked for it. It didn't take anything away from the viewing experience. Lucky for us, this meant the TV was going for half off the retail price. What?! That meant we could buy everything we came in for plus some extra HDMI cables all for the retail price of the TV we bought. We have a great setup now and we never even notice the scratch in the upper corner at all. I can't really say anything about the rest of the departments at Best Buy, but if you're going to get a TV then definitely go to the Clovis location and ask for the Samsung expert (sorry I don't remember your name, this was about 3 months ago). read more

Went in on Saturday June 30, 2018 around 8 pm and right away I was able to get assistance to purchase a product I really been eyeing for a long time. The associates were very helpful assisting me and answering question regarding the product I had came to see if they had in stock at this store location. I came looking for a DJI Mavic Air Drone. Sure enough the floor associate check on her tablet and located the item in stock. I also told her I was going to check the Fresno location but I was already in Clovis, so I figured I check that store for the drone. The associate was able to price match the drone for what I saw online. Man I was happy that she was able to assist with that. I have no complaints with my service. She even process and check me out through her tablet. It save me more time from going to the register to check out! Man I'm definitely going to stop by the store location more frequently whenever I need something from this location. I'd never received such great customer service from any Best Buy Store around the Central Valley. But this store location sure proved me wrong.
