They have a clueless customer service, I asked who can help me on finding what I was looking for and they didn't get it at first and then direct me to see the department where they sell the product I'm interested to get, but when I went there I saw a bestBuy associate stocking a shelf and so I asked him if he could help finding what I'm looking for, he answered oh I wouldn't know! Absolutely do not waste your time or money at Geek Squad in Coconut Point. I brought in my laptop for a simple WiFi issue and was immediately told it wasn't fixable, that it had to be sent out for repair, wouldn't be covered under warranty, and would cost $200. Instead of actually diagnosing the issue, the tech spent more time trying to sell me a Geek Squad membership. Turns out, they lied. I fixed the issue myself at home in under 10 minutes with a USB drive and the correct WiFi driver. No sending it out, no extra costs, and definitely no membership required. Literally used ChatGbt. They either don't know what they're doing, or worse--they're intentionally misleading customers to upsell services. Either way, it's unacceptable. Avoid this location. Total scam. read more

I just had the worst experience at Coconut Point Best Buy in Estero Florida. The manager, Javon, was not helpful. The computer I bought for my 82 year old father 4 months ago now has a screen that is half black. The store staff accused my father of dropping the computer because of a scuff mark. My father states he did not drop it. Best Buy can repair it, but if I wanted a computer that was refurbished I would have bought a refurbished laptop 4 months ago and saved some money. The manager Javon would not give me the name of his district manager to discuss replacing this computer. I highly recommend you go elsewhere for service. Walked in to buy a washer and dryer. The guy at the front door had his nose buried in his phone. As I walked by he asked if I needed help no eye contact.... I told him I was headed to appliances. 30 minutes later and not one employee around, I go back up to the guy at the front door and ask if there are any salespeople. He informed me of a queue. I have been trying to get a printer problem resolved since Sept 14th with no success. The first try received a schedule date and time window but no one ever showed up or called. Someone from geek squad emailed me two days later to say they would arrive the next day at a time that conflicted with a doctor's appointment. I responded that that wouldn't work and requested a different time. They never responded. I then went back to the store and tried to get someone to send out a geek to fix the problem. They could only reschedule me several weeks out. This time a hurricane forced another cancellation. I called again and got rescheduled two weeks out. The email i got said they would call the day before to give me a time, but no one ever called. So, I called to find out when they would arrive and was told the appointment was cancelled. When I heard all the poor-me stories from big box stores losing business to online outfits, I have no sympathy because of my experience at this place. I have been to this store 3 times and have yet to find an employee to help me. Another time, I spent over an hour trying to add a new phone to my account. I ended up having to go to T-Mobile to buy the phone. On the most recent visit, I saw an employee in the high high-end section, he told me to wait in line behind the wall. I went behind the wall and there was no line. I went back in, and he said he was busy and wait. I browsed for 10 minutes and went back, and he was gone. This review is really not about Best Buy but the service they offer called GEEK SQUAD. Let me tell you they were the most professional tv installers with great equipment. They put my tv on the wall and we had some issues with the cable and they stayed here and fixed everything. They even did their best to tie up and hide the cords. Masks shoe covers unreal!!! Love love this Best Buy. I purchased a brand new MacBook Pro from Gary he was SO nice and helpful! He even gave me next day shipping knowing I needed it for work. After ten days of having it- the screen went wonky and the laptop would get extremely hot. I took it in and the employee there was saying it was my fault and I can't return it- he was nice tho just doing his job, He grabbed his manager (DJ) anyway and a tech guy (Jon), both were VERY helpful!!! They agreed to exchange my laptop for a brand new one and said it definitely seems like a software problem. They didn't have my laptop in stalk so they sent me back to Gary so he could find me a comparable one within my budget- I had a few issues with payment but Gary being the amazing problem solver he is was able to help me out!! All 4 guys were very helpful and I couldn't be more grateful especially after spending so much on an apple product. This Best Buy stands by their products which I 100% appreciate. Thank you! I met with a gentleman who worked in the TV section for advice. He was very good and helpful. I didn't want to drive back out to Coconut Point for further assistance unless he was there, so I called. It was the worst experience I have had. I called and was on hold for more than 30 - 45 minutes when someone picked up the phone and hung up. It happened three times in a row and I eventually decided not to call back. With businesses being challenged due to the pandemic, maybe some of the customer service people at this store should be furloughed. Maybe then they can figure out how to do their job while not having a job. Instead of having customers experience the lack of quality service, discontinue the ability of having customers call into the store since no one is going to answer or hang up on you. So another update not only did Best Buy jerk me around on their warranty now this instaprotec which is supposed to be a liquid screensaver which ended up cracking my screen is reneging on their warranty after I went and got everything fixed and sent them everything that they asked me for along with their email back stating everything they asked me for now they said that I needed some kind of number on the receipt of the place that they sent me to.... Again don't trust any warranties from any of these companies they do their best to weasel their way out of it after they already have your money shame on you..... Clean store, employees need more training on products, check out is located by geek squad which confuses a lot of customers. Best buy does carry a lot of the "higher end products" ie routers, surge protectors, TV's, appliances. Also they are very good about price matching with Amazon when it is shipped and sold by Amazon. read more

Terrible service. I bought 4 TVs and signed for total tech support. Needed help. Took 1.5 hours on the phone to make an appointment. Ten days out. Noon to 8pm window. No one showed. Called to see what happened. No one would talk for 45 minutes on hold and then they disconnected. Called back and finally got a refund but no apology and no explanation for why no one showed up or why the reservation and phone service is so unresponsive. GREAT experience. Went in with a problem I honestly wasn't sure what they could do. Had a photo disk that my laptop wasn't reading. Very frustrating; $800 photo shoot and I couldn't access photos! Called and then went in; Geek Squad tried to help and then ended up noting that since disk couldn't be read they went ahead and made a copy that my laptop could read.
