Well this time it did take a while to receive my phone back so i came in around 7:30, 30 mins before they closed. They were having trouble with my service. I was told to talk to the general manager. 8:30 came along and he told me that apple wasn't gonna respond back to him at this time of night. He asked me for my information and said he would have resolved in 24-48 hours( grant it, it was on Apples part NOT Best Buy). I received a text saying he solved it for me to come pick it up. I purchased an M1 Mac Book Pro from Best Buy Florence. The screen cracked through no fault of my own. I took it back to Best Buy and they refused to take the computer back. I took it back within the return policy. I also found out there is a major defect in the M1 Back Book Pro with screens cracking during normal use and other problems. I am over Best Buy and geek squad, a few months ago I had to get the back glass on my phone, they told me that it would take up to a week to repair it which I was fine with but they failed to tell me that I needed to backup everything on my phone that they can't just repair the back glass and would have to put my screen on a new phone and a week goes by and I check on it the morning shift employee tells me that my phone is "in the oven heating up the adhesive to replace the back glass" so I go back when it's done and they hand me a new phone that needs to be setup and when I said something about it that's when they told me that they put my screen on a new phone that they don't do back glasses and proceeded to argue when I told them I lost most of my information on there, that I should have backed it up that they tell Everyone that even though they did not, I was not mad about having a new phone I was mad about them lying directly to my face and wasting my time. But this time is my final draw, we ran into an issue with my fiancé's phone Sunday and apple said we could take it to the store in charlotte or to best buy and either would replace it so to save the trip I decided to give them another chance and took it to them which I regret we've been checking our updates and there's no changes so I go on my lunch break and the tell me it'll take 3-5 days to get a phone from charlotte, Best Buy and geek squad are starting to turn into Walmart! read more

Hmmm the second time I entered this store since my parents moved here. As soon as you walk in...it seems like the employees there puts on camoflage outfits and mirror shades to avoid assisting you. But since this is the ONLY electronics store in Florence, they can do this with a coke and a smile. The prices are out of this world. A normal item in California would cost about 50% less. Went into this store to purchase a Apple TV and a case for my Apple Watch, not only was inventory very limited but as I went to the check out line that's been in the same spot for years I was yelled at by another employee to go to the other desk to check out; I made my way to the desk and stood for 15 minutes as the employees carried on their conversation while I stood there(a conversation not work friendly). When a man finally decided to check me out, he carried on his conversation in the process and rang up one of my items turned around to talk then finished the transaction. Giving me wrong change by shorting me $1.00, when I told him this he got a attitude before giving me the correct change. I Have been to this store weekly for years. The issues I have are as follows. The employees think are cool before they are available. the behaviour of not speaking to each customer is explained by the cool factor. most recently I went in sunday june 28 2015. Two cool employees were at the portable radios jamming out. they turned the music up and walked away so the entire store could hear it. I did not mind the Groove, but the volume was annoying. I called the store from my cell and the cool person who anwered said" what you dont like our music? i tried to speak with manager but was told several times he was outside smoking. This store has a few good employees and a majority not so good. Got to the store and was informed that the item had not been "picked" yet. So I went and picked it myself. But no, Sarah, the manager said I could not do it that way. She states that this was the second busiest day of the year. I called BS on that because the store was empty and it was 2:30 in the afternoon. On August 11, 2012, I called Best Buy's 1-888 number to order the television mounting service for my mother. She already had the television and the wall mount, she just needed the coax cable run from the opposite wall in addition to the service of the television being mounted. I explained this to the caller (Shawn I believe his name was), and he told me that they could indeed run the coax, but I would have to purchase the whole room set up, and not just the mounting. I agreed, and after being transferred all over the place and disconnected, I finally was able to pay for the service. 2 members of the "Geek Squad" arrived at my mother's house on 8/14/12. My mother called me, and I spoke with one of them on the phone (their names are David and Grant). They told me that they wouldn't be able to run the cable, that wasn't part of the package. I then explained to them that I described in detail what the job entailed to the operator before I made the purchase. David and Grant stated that they weren't left a note that told them to do this. They did proceed to say that they would be able to do it, but they charged my mother an extra $157.98 for the concealing kit. This by itself is not good business, you guys did not hold up your end of the original agreement, but they got the job done, and I was just glad that it was over with. The next day, David and Grant came back to the house saying that Best Buy would not accept my mother's check, and they asked for her credit card number. Really? Is this how you do business? What was supposed to be a gift from me to my mother has turned into a big headache. Why did your TelCheck system flag her check (if it really did)? There's no apparent reason for it, and you won't tell us the real reason. After the thousands of dollars that we have spent at your Florence store, and the thousands that I've spent at Best Buy out here in TX, it is an insult. It shows that no matter how many customer profiles you have on your data bases, you are out of touch with your consumers. I realize that as a big corporation, you look at the numbers and not the people. My husband ordered $300 worth of movies and games on Black Friday. They were available and we paid with our debit card. We were given a shipping date 3 days from our purchase. We waited 3 weeks with no merchandise delivered to us. They never sent us an email. We finally went on line to track it and every one of our orders were cancelled! We paid for everything on Black Friday! When we called we got the run around and were told even if we found the items at our local Best Buy they wouldn't honor the prices. We've had a credit card with them for years also. This messed up our Christmas for our boys! Now we have to go look for all of these items and pay more money.! I bought a Cannon Handycam. I asked about the return policy. I was told I had 14 days from point of purchase for a full refund. I was NEVER told about a restocking fee if I returned the item. When I explained this to the store clerk, the store manager, and then called corporate, I was told there was nothing that could be done. I wouldn't have purchased the item had I known. When I bought my iPhone 5s, I spoke so highly of the customer service and the wonderful protection plan that I purchased with my phone. All of that was very misplaced appreciation. Apparently they're only nice to you when you're spending money with them. Also, this wonderful protection plan that I was sold cost $10/month (on top of the $35 fee I had to pay my service provider for buying it at best buy and not with them), I was told that if I cracked my screen or damaged my phone, I could take it to best buy and get a replacement for free. When I cracked my screen, I took it to the Florence best buy and was told a replacement would cost $145 (not free as promised) then my mum called the best buy in myrtle beach she was told yet again that a replacement would be free since I had the protection plan. So today, I went to myrtle beach's best buy and they told me a replacement would cost $161 and that the protection plan was only really any good if my phone stopped actually functioning and I had to buy a whole new one mid contract. (Which is obviously the total opposite of what I was told when I bought the plan and when my mum talked to that very store the day before.) Word to the wise, if you can buy something some where else, don't buy it at best buy and don't ever ever waste your money on their protection plan or geek squad in general, it's a total waste of money and is only useful if you buy a faulty P. Florence is a small town-so the size of the store is not a surprise or concern. This does not mean that the service and staff has to be small. Best Buy and the bank they use citi bank, can't seem to work together and give me a credit due to my Best Buy card. After speaking to three managers about this two week process. I now have had to file a dispute form. It's crazy because they don't dispute the credit just don't seem to have any control with there own bank.
