Absolutely infuriating experience. This store is a complete disaster -- totally unprofessional from top to bottom. Management is indifferent and clearly doesn't care about customer satisfaction. Trying to return something or get a refund is like pulling teeth -- unnecessarily difficult and drawn out. The staff have no clue about the products they're selling. It's obvious they've had little to no training. Worst of all, they actually flag customers in their system just to make their lives miserable -- petty, vindictive, and completely unacceptable. I'm a Total Tech member, but I deeply regret signing up. I'm canceling immediately and taking my business elsewhere. This BestBuy has been here for years and is a smaller former store than other locations. The Sterling Best Buy is much larger. Thus, this location has a drastically lower selection and in-stock products compared. The check out lanes have been shut down for years covered over with junk at times. They finally removed the registers a little while back but never converted the square footage to something useful. The check out is now shared with customer service and Geek Squad. The Geek Squad is always slammed and best to get an appointment if you want to use it. Almost never do they have walk in availability. The floor is modestly to sparsely staffed. However, I am savvy enough to research well into going to purchase at the store but if you need help it may be a challenge. Whenever there is someone to help, they always nice and super helpful here. The cell phone experts are very knowledgeable of plans and products along with the computer department. I can't speak to other departments. They sell random stock in the back right of this store like legos, e-bikes and toys. Most of the essentials are in stock like cables, plugs, peripherals, etc. All in all, Best Buy should redesign this store and reinvest in Leesburg. With the county growth, I am shocked we don't have a full size Best Buy that even has a car service bay to install car radios (at other Best Buy's in larger markets). They also just bought an outdoor furniture company, which could be incorporated in their stores. 3 stars because I know Best Buy can do better all around at this store. read more

We recently purchased a new GE washer and dryer from the Best Buy, Leesburg location. The salesperson in the store was knowledgeable about all the options and helpful in assisting us in making a purchase that day. We were happy that the scheduled delivery date was within a week, since our own washer and dryer were no longer functional. The delivery/installation went great! John and Franklin arrived on time for the delivery and were very kind and professional. They worked quickly and efficiently to hook up the appliances and walked me through operation of the machines after install. The only small glitch throughout the entire process was that the stands for the front loading water and dryer were ordered in black, and the appliances themselves were Navy blue. It was actually just a minor clerical error, but it did not affect the delivery date, and the install was completed with the correct stands, on time. I highly recommend this Best Buy. This place is a joke! Staff can't even direct me to the right department. Once I get help they don't even try to help me. I made an appt for an Apple service appt. This location at the Geek Squad desk is an authorized service center for Apple. Once I got my help they tell me my charger cod is not covered by Apple Care. When you ask for something (wireless headphones with mic in this case), they just read the boxes like I can. They really only had 2-3 different ones, so I purchased one, took it home (JLabs brand) and tried it on my next call. "You sound very muffled" what what I was told. I went to return them, noticed that they had a nicer pair at Sterling location, so went there. Website was wrong, their inventory was just as bad, so I got a store credit. Not sure why I wasn't just issued a refund. Anyway, went across the street and bought a decent pair at Walmart. Sad day when I get better product and service on electronics at Walmart over Best Buy. read more

I am an "Elite Member" and have "shopped" at Best Buy from its inception. Before them it was Circuit City. Since Monday this week I have been trying to speak with a local Best Buy (Leesburg Virginia). Since Covid-19 Best Buy appears to be sending ALL INCOMING CALLS to a National Call Center. It is NOW NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEAK WITH YOUR LOCAL STORE VIA A TELEPHONE CALL! Monday morning, I called Best Buy in Virginia and was routed to the National Call Center. I asked for a local number but was told I would receive a call back from the local store "within 2-5 hours. After 5 hours had passed I called again that evening and was assured I would get a call back in 2 hours. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL FROM ANYONE! Tuesday morning I called again. Once again I was told I would get a call back within 2 hours.... AGAIN... IT NEVER HAPPENED. Next I attempted to call the Corporate Office, asking to speak with anyone at Corporate who could help and operator I spoke, transferred me be back into the NATIONAL CALL CENTER! I then spoke to that call center person who assured me someone would get back with me... "within 2 hours" I call the Corporate Office a 2nd time and that person DID TRANSFER MY CALL TO A "CORPORATE OFFICE". About 2 hours later a gentleman called and seemed to be helpful and assured me someone would "call me tonight..Tuesday! He said he would call back to check if anyone see if someone returned my call. Today is Wednesday and I have yet to hear back from ANYONE. The frustration is... I can drive 16 miles to a local Best Buy and I promise you, there will be clusters of 2-3 Best Buy employees engaged in personal conversations AND NO ONE THERE HAS TIME TO RECEIVE OR ANSWER A CUSTOMER CALL. This new business practice will ultimately cause Best Buy to fail. It is now DAY THREE at 4:06pm and not a single Best Buy employee from ANYWHERE has called. I have made my last purchase at Best Buy. I placed an order for 1hr in store pickup today at 5:45pm. I showed up to pick up at 735 pm. Employee nonchalantly informed me that the item was still unavailable for pick up. I asked if it was possible to just grab the item for me since I was actually in store. Nope not possible. Ordered online and did pick up at store with curbside. Just one item- a bp cuff for a family member. Parked in the spot did the app filled in the car info, spot number etc. The app then said 'sorry, system is not working right now.' Seriously!? Call the number- everything is automated- you cannot no matter what button you push get a live person. Get out of the car make my way through the store to customer service, wait in line, tell them the curb side is not working because their app is down and the phone number will not let you speak to a live person only to be greeted with don't really care attitude handing me item from bin teen. I came to this location to get assistance with a Samsung phone purchased witting one year March2022, I was really surprised with the awful customer service experience at this store , first I got to the geeksquad explained the situation that the Samsung device was not holding the charge /battery any more , I know that the phone had a crack on the screen but since that was not the issue I still decided to ask for the help, the problem is the geeksquad manager without looking at the receipt told me that he could not help, u less I had the bby warranty , wait isn't they supposed to honor the manufacture warranty? Anyways I then requested to talk to the Gm to explain the situation and also request if I could at least get store credit and I was to buy another phone right there including their warranty , this is the issue I have with her answer she stated that because it was a limited warranty with Samsung I had to call them directly , that is FALSE, as a former bby employee and GS Manager the information provided to me was 1000% false , the store is to honor Samsung manufacture warranty during the 1st year of purchase . Definitely need to learn the policy before giving false information to the customers , FYI I was fine if the GM MARIANNA MORTON or the GS Manager would tell me because of the screen I have to go directly to Samsung otherwise I will be happy to help u in store , but NO they declined service for the total wrong reasons . I will continue purchasing from BestBuy I won't lie about that but definitely not at this location. Truly horrible service. Yes, believe all of the reviews regarding the horrible service at this store. In early April I purchased a Bosch dishwasher in the store but the they accidentally damaged the unit prior to giving it to the delivery people. The store refunded my money, but their attitude was "so what?" The store manager was absolutely useless in helping to resolve the issue. I reached out to Best Buy customer service, who amazingly was able to strong-arm the store manager into selling me another dishwasher at the same price as the previous one. Then it happened again - the day before delivery the store called to say that delivery would not happen as scheduled because there was not enough room on the truck to bring the dishwasher to the warehouse for pick-up by the delivery company. Now the delivery is delayed another two days and the store could care less. I will absolutely never purchase another appliance from this store because they clearly cannot get their act together with respect to appliance sales and delivery. read more

Poor service and horrific return policy. I purchased an item suggested by their in house staff to extend my internet reach in our home. The product (eero Pro 6) did not work as Best Buy suggested. When went to bring it back, Best Buy said they would not reimburse me anything because it was beyond 30 days. I spoke directly with the manager and he refused to budge on reimbursement of any kind. Absolutely horrid as this product was purchased 100% on a Best Buy salesman recommendation ( Brien Jones). Well, I've been on hold 9 minutes and 57 seconds waiting on a human being to answer my call. I had an apt to take my veteran brother for a dr apt over an hour away today. I start my car which has a Viper security system installed last Christmas as a gift from my husband. While out of town in SC last Friday for my nephew's graduation from Marine Boot Camp (ooh rah! by the way), my car would not start. I immediately called Best Buy/Geek Squad. Actually got a human being which after an hour of back and forth calls, my nephew had to switch out a fuse, which got the car started. Geek Squad recommended I bring my car in this week. I intended to do that this evening after returning from the dr appt. Low and behold, my car would start right up, then turn off, and the same green key started flashing at me again. New battery and it's a Honda. It's NOT the car. Now on hold 16 minutes listening to more BB BS about how they can help. Geek Squad must be closed today. This used to be my favorite Best Buy store. And *most* of the floor reps at the Leesburg location are still great. It is the managers that seem to be the problem recently. It didn't used to be this way. 2 years ago I had an excellent experience with the store manager. A couple of weeks ago I had a very good experience with a floor rep and almost had a bad experience with a manager, only prevented by the floor rep's commitment to customer service. But today, the manager just took the cake. The store had a display with a Galaxy S9 for $22.58 per month for 24 months. When we went to buy it, they tried to charge us more than $26 per month. We pointed out the difference to the rep, who said she couldn't give us the price they had on the shelf. She claimed it had something to do with the carrier. The tag with the price did not mention a carrier. Then she said it was only for new sign-ups. But the tag clearly said it applied to upgrades, which was our situation. We asked to speak to a manager, who, basically shrugged and said she could not give us the advertised price because of some arrangement with the carrier. We asked her if she could give us a store credit for the difference. She said there was no way for her to give us a store credit, which I find hard to believe. We went somewhere else and paid less. I took the floor price tag with me and may use it if I decide to file a complaint with the authorities. Best Buy won't last long if this is the way they do business. Never order appliances from Best Buy! While their prices are very good, you'll pay the price later, wasting your time as they don't show up on the delivery date. This happened to me twice. The last time the technician even had that gall to claim he'd arrive in 1/2 hour, but still never showed up. Fortunately I was smart enough to request weekend delivery dates and did not burn any vacation time. Best Buy works w/ a chain of delivery companies where they will schedule / re-schedule a delivery date a few weeks in advance, confirm the date over that time frame, but subsequently cancel the day before or even the morning of the delivery date. One time they called to reschedule the delivery at 5:00 PM Saturday afternoon, when they were supposed to have delivered the appliance between 12:00 & 4:00! We had ordered 3 appliances (dw, fridge & wall oven) on Feb. 22nd. It took over 2 1/2 months of continuous cancelling/ re-scheduling to finally get all 3 delivered and installed. They even delivered the dishwasher twice!! True incompetence!! read more
