The Geek Squad is useless; they wont be able to fix any hardware issues. The "costumer service" available on the app is an Ai that lies/ gives incorrect information. I made an appointment ahead of time and skipped a class to come in for an issue (that I mentioned on the appointment details) related to the screen not turning on, and they didn't even look at my laptop. As soon as i repeated the issue they immediately told me it was impossible and they aren't "allowed to open computers" and that if they sent it out to be repaired it would cost as much as a new computer. I wasted valuable time and money just for them to immediately turn me away...why they couldn't mention their "policy" before I spent 45 dollars on an uber? I don't know. read more

The customer service is abhorrent here. I was on deadline for my newspaper and they had sold me a phonecard to send my editor photos of the Rome tornado. The card did nto work and they failed to send me an email, like they promised, of the activation code. After calling twice I never received my code. They ha dpromised it would be emailed wiythin 15 minutes. After the second time I was sent to three departments and by then my deadline ahd passed. I had to work Saturday because of these clowns. zero stars. read more

Arrived to definitively purchase an iPhone. Store traffic was light. There were two associates in the phone center, and only one customer ahead of us. A manager was at the side harshly scrutinizing a female associate's every move. She was squirming and could not look up under his harsh view. This was the associate we wanted to buy from as she had previously spent time assisting us, and we told the manager of her previous assistance. The manager asked to sign us into a queue. He asked for our phone number to add to a data mining, proprietary Best Buy database. We refused as it was unnecessary to provide our number and there was, essentially, no one but us waiting. The manager LOST IT! He started yelling at us for not providing our number, and did not want us to wait in the area as we would "clog it up." Huh? Not willing to take this verbal abuse, I told him to take it down a notch. He became angrier and said, "I will not take it down." I answered for him to not yell at us and to "take a chill pill." The customer ahead of us gave us a 'thumbs up' at not taking this over-the-top and wholly inappropriate behavior on the part of a manager who appears to need anger management classes. The manager stomped off. At this point my companion decided she did not want to deal with Best Buy due to this harsh treatment. I agreed and we left to purchase the iPhone at a nearby Verizon store. The store not only lost a sale but all our future business. Take care if you're in a situation requiring the manager's attention. He is a nasty piece of work who should be demoted or fired or at least never talk to customers. read more

Worst customer service experience I've had in a long time. Purchased a brand new Lenovo computer and the hard drive went bad in a couple of months. Brought it back to Best Buy here I purchased it and they told me it would take 7-10 days to troubleshoot and fix it. Couldn't wait that long since I use computer all the time and need it for school. Next solution presented was replace hard drive on my dime, which isn't ideal, but needed it asap so went ahead and spent $77 to have them do it. They promised cloning of hard drive - so in theory I get same computer back operating in the same way. Well that was apparently a high expectation! Computer is basically back to start up with the exception of a few files that transferred over. Even though that sucks, the worst was when the manager basically told me - you're screwed. It's a Lenovo problem and not ours. There's nothing we can do to compensate you. Even that isn't the worst, but what is the worse - is that I have a computer that doesn't work the way indeed it to (and an original hard drive that is a paperweight) after only 2 months. The manager, Andy K. treated me like something he stepped in. I would recommend never using this Best Buy again. I've been to several different Best Buy's and they usually have superior customer service. In fact at this same store - I had 2 good experiences. First when I bought the computer and again when trying to fix the issue. But when you go to a store and are essentially berated by the manager - it's just not worth it. I expect more from you Best Buy. You need to are up and do better!! read more

I went to the store today to return a TV Antenna. This process should not take over 10-15 minutes! There was only one customer in front of me. Two customer service people saw me in line only other customer there and both saw me and walked away avoiding eye contact. One walked around the counter then on to the main floor talking to other reps. The other customer service person walked by me several time with her face buried in her cell phone, she then started a loud conversation with another worker! I want to thank the overworked young lady left behind the counter who took care of my return in a professional and timely manner! I hope they get their act together in the future we need another electronic store! read more

Went in on a Friday to purchase new iPhone 13 for my mom. Phone was in stock, but no 5G SIM cards in stock. Was told price was $599 which sounded too good to be true since it's the newest model. I CLEARLY stated this was an upgrade only, was not changing my plan with AT&T or adding a new line - literally unmistakable in my communication. Two clerks stated it was indeed $599, but couldn't sell it without the 5G SIM card. They took my name and number, set the phone aside so it wouldn't be sold, and told me they would be calling me when the cards arrived, expected in a day or two. Fair enough. I did not hear from them by Tuesday so called local number on website, but was sent to a nationwide Best Buy number and advised customers no longer can call individual stores (irritant 1). So went to the store on a Wednesday, a 35 minute drive, not knowing if the SIM card was in stock. Luckily, 5G SIM cards had arrived on Monday, but I was never called as promised (irritant 2). Then when I discussed the phone cost with the clerk (different one, other 2 were not there) it was not $599 like I had been told by the 2 clerks on Friday and as I thought it was more expensive since I was just upgrading and paying in full (irritant 3). But the new phone was needed so I had to purchase. Turns out it was somehow on sale for $699 vs. list price of $799, but that's still $100 more than 2 clerks advised on Friday. I considered upgrading mine since I could get $140 credit on my current phone and it was $100 less than expected, but none in stock. I spoke with store manager who looked up stock and nothing available indefinitely. I very calmly and advised him about being given inaccurate information about the cost and lack of promised follow up about SIM card. Manager told me he wasn't there when I met with the other 2 clerks on Friday so he wasn't able to say what was relayed to me. I told him I was very astute and this is exactly what I was told. He said they don't call customers, to which I said I wouldn't know how to find out since customers can no longer call the store directly. Rather than simply state, "I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding with 2 store clerks" he yet again used the "I wasn't there so I can't say what was relayed to you" (irritant 4). This is NOT, repeat NOT, how to talk to a customer who spoke with him clearly and calmly, with legitimate concerns. Now, I will say that he gave me his cell number to call if I wanted to see when more phones would be in, but why would I want to ever do business with someone who can't make a simple statement apologizing for some misunderstandings? I said maybe the 2 clerks weren't totally aware of the costs and wasn't once demeaning about them. But he couldn't even say he was sorry there were misunderstandings. How hard is that? I felt he needed the need to defend himself and staff rather than try to smooth things over with a rational customer who never once was sharp in tone or comments. Maybe I'd get a phone from them in the future (unlikely), but it won't be at this store! read more

If you get someone on the floor to help you - they're great. If you're spending money - they're terrific. Then - when you come back the next day to check on your purchase delivery, or ask questions about the product or delivery - then you see why people avoid Best Buy. They are notoriously understaffed in the one place where they need staff - behind the Customer Service counter. They have sales people walking all around the store doing nothing but walking all around the store. Behind the Customer Service counter they have one person working frantically to take care of customers who need information - whether to return something, or to ask about a warranty, or - how about - "when am I gonna get my stuff?" So you walk out - go home and try the phone. The phone system is geared NOT to let you talk to anyone. "Go to BestBuy.com," the auto phone says. So you do. You click on Chat - except the Chat never comes on - it just tells you 'we're experiencing higher than normal...." Best Buy needs to hire more people to put behind Customer Service. It needs to hire a genuine human being to actually pick up the phone and talk to a customer. Now - you - know - why - so - many - people - buy ONLINE. Best Buy will go the way of K-Mart, Sears, JC Penney, and all the others who make Customer Service their LAST priority. We would cancel the order if we could find a person to actually activate the cancellation. But - this IS the last product we'll buy from Best Buy - even when they have their Going Out Of Business Sale.... read more

Had to drive a hour one way topick up a $550 desktop, when i got home and hooked it up windows was not activated on it at all. Only options to fix it was buy windows myself (noway I just bought a brand new computer) or drive a hour one way again to have them put a windows activation key! $80 in gas later I just seriously overpaid for a computer and got screwed around.
