Ordered a pickup. Called to advise in the parking lot. "You have to go to your email to check-in." I advised that I cannot go to my email. My ankle is broken, I am in space 3 for the pickup. NOPE you have to go to your email. I canceled the order through my email when I arrived back home. I ordered with HOME DEPOT for the same item at the same price. I purchased a lifetime replacement product. When the local store didn't have a replacement in stock, the associate at the store said contact the online folks and they could take care of me. They didn't. The online folks said I could only get help at the local store. Of course that was after I had already left the area thinking I could work with the online folks. Now it looks like I will have to plan another trip into town and HOPE they have the replacement available. Oh, and good luck talking to a person at the store to verify before you go. Safe to say BB produced the absolute WORST experience I've had with any store...EVER. What began as a straightforward washer/drier purchase ultimately took 15 phone calls to an endless number of overseas "robots" who were never successful in understanding let alone remedying the problem. Of course you can never reach anyone in a position to help, like the store manager, who could have solved the problem easily. When someone actually staightened out the problem, we anxiously awaited the set. Low and behold the recommended vent hose was incorrect. Installers couldn't finish the job yet rudely and aggressively demanded my wife sign off on the job. She was actually in fear of the installers but stood her ground. (Good woman). She left to go back to work, When she returned in the evening she opened the door and was met with a townhome filled with gas! Emergency call to the gas company who came out and turned off the gas supply to the drier. This after she sat outside in 13 degree temps (the gas company said do not do anything, do not even start your car ((In the garage))). So months have gone by and the end result is a laundry room with useless appliances courtesy of Best Buy. A pathetic and ultimately dangerous experience. read more

I have been giving Best Buy business for over 10+ years now. I am happy to give my review, and I feel i have had plenty of experience and business here. Best Buy is as they state "Expert Service and Unbeatable Price". I agree with this statement. I have bought my Macbook Pro's here (three total), TV's, printers, gaming consoles and accessories, family computers and parts, and even DVD's. One thing is always consistent, outstanding customer service!! Every time I buy one of the things listed above, we purchase protection plans. Best Buy states; "We fix it or replace it" because "bad luck deserves coverage". These are not just words. They really stand by their promises. A little over a year ago I bought my son a pretty pricey pair of gaming headphones. He left them on the floor and stepped on them and broke them. We took them back to Best Buy and admitted that we broke them. They did not hesitate to say, "go get another pair and lets trade these out for a pair that work!". Of course, having the protection plan makes this possible too. With little effort and time, we walked out with a new pair of headphones. I can go on and on about how many good experiences we have had here, not at just this store, but in several Best Buys in the Idaho area. Consistency is key they say, and I could not agree more. We purchased a Polk sound system sound bar with a subwoofer we had it three months and the subwoofer stopped working. We returned it to be repaired one month ago they tell us it was repaired weand shipped back two weeks ago but they can't find it they say there is no record of it. So now what are we out of the $450 that we paid for this thing. Not happy. The geek squad maybe not geeky enough. I contacted Polk and they have no idea. So if you do buy it be sure you buy the extended warranty. Ours didn't even make it out of factory warranty.we just received a e-mail that our sound bar was in the store. I called and there is no reference that they can find. They need to look at their geek squad and the drivers to see who has a new sound bar at their expense will never buy a gain. We got an e-mail. I always liked Best Buy from Salt Lake to Vegas ,Idaho Falls and Twin . They really need to open the store in Pocatello .Good thing they also ship and unlike shoes and clothes I know (more or less) what I need when it comes to electronics. Also what I like about the chain they train their employees pretty well , compared to a lot of other stores and unlike some dude's in Verizon stores , who can barely tell you anything about f.e. RAM or battery capacity of the phone you intend to purchase , Best buy's guys always know what they are selling. So service is great and deals are good why shop elsewhere for electronics ? P.S. The only area for improvement I noticed with regret half a year ago that they do not ship certain bigger TV's . I mean I do not blame them , those are hard to pack securely and are easy to break yet would be nice if they could figure something out.Deals are awesome , but I am not willing to drive for 6 hrs to get a decent sized TV. read more

Our stereo gave out on us 4 hours into our road trip from California to Yellowstone National park. We were staying in Idaho Falls that night so we called this Best Buy to see if we could get a new stereo installed the next morning before heading back out on the road. They had no appointments available that day but invited us to come in before they opened. They had us on the road....with music in under 30 minutes. In 2005 I purchased a Samsung TV and was told it was digital ready. This year with the digital transition, I discovered it was not. A call to Samsung indicated that only the D models had digital tuners.. In talking with the manager, I pointed out that the sales rep either was uninformed about the TV, or mislead me on the TV, & I wished a converter box to compensate for the misrepresentation. Definitely one of the WORST places I've shopped at! Customer Service sure has gone down hill, that's for sure. It seems like every time I go in I get worse service, and amazingly every time I think they can't get worse....good job Best Buy, you keep proving me wrong. There's quite a few things wrong there, main one Customer Service. When I walk in I don't get greeted or asked if I need help- that's not a big deal I guess, but the moment when I am ready to pay or ask someone for help, I see them all talking to each other rather than waiting to help me or any other customer. AND when I'm ready to pay, I see all the registers opened and all the people are in the back talking with each other OR they're just standing around waiting for one person to do all the work...Seriously? What ever happened to the customer being important? Second of all, they sure make you feel like all that is important is your money. I went in to get a computer about a year ago and they told me that getting a 2 year protection plan for a few hundred dollar would be a good idea because it covered everything that could possibly go wrong with my all-in-one computer. A few months later it turned out that I got a virus and shockingly *SARCASM* my computer was not covered with it like I was first told.... So then I got it refunded for about $50-$60 and went on with my life. I'd stop by Best Buy every now and then and get ignored and then last Thursday I took my computer to get fixed . I was told it was best to spend $200 on Tech Support because it covered three computers for a year and that all I had to do is buy that and my computer would be fixed in 2 days so I should have it back by Saturday. Sounded too good to be true at first...TAH-DAH IT WAS! Now it's Monday and I found out that I get to pay $35 to have it shipped off to who knows where to get fixed because apparently they can't do it there AND here's the best part of it all: I get to pay anywhere from $100-$300 to get it fixed and I don't get it back for 2-4weeks! :0 Being a college student and really needing my computer for school stuff and not being able to have it for a month SUCKS. But nothing sucks more than getting to pay more money for stuff that won't really help me out. Honestly I wish we had another computer and electronic store in the Magic Valley so that I could go there instead. BUT I'm so glad that I'm almost done paying my Best Buy Credit Card off because I guarantee the minute that I pay it off I will definitely be cancelling it. Best Buy is NOT worth it. The workers need to go through training and learn the stuff correctly because honestly not all of us are rich enough to constantly be spending money. read more
