I will NEVER shop at BestBuy again, I have never had such a bad experience in my life to this level. After spending weeks and over 12+ hours on hold, I still have yet got anywhere with this issue. I purchased a phone from them, and while setting it up, it froze/locked out my phone number and was defective, I pay $2,000 for this device, and asked for a refund, since I ordered it online, they wanted me to ship it back via canada post, which I did not want to do because of the strike, but they gave me no choice, now the phone is sitting in a warehouse well my money is not being released and is tied up. For BestBuy to only keep telling me I will need to wait. This is outlandish, I have evidence showing the device is defective, The package was scanned, and I have a receipt showing I shipped it back, yet BestBuy will do nothing and every person I spoke too has been unprofessional and useless. I have asked to speak to a manager or supervisor multiple times, only to be told they will have one call. That has yet to happen. So my husband needed a charger for his phone. First he went to the dollar store and it was the wrong one. No refund, package was opened. Tried Staples on Tecumseh Rd E. and they would not let him test it at the store to see if it was the right one. After bringing it home, it did NOT fit. Back to Staples for a refund. I suggested he try Best Buy on Walker. Not only did a young lady who is one of their associates, help him after he purchased it. He was able to test it in the store to make sure it was the right size. also tested the plug and said it was fine. No need to buy another one. Worst store and customer service!! On Dec. 7,2024 i went in this establishment you purchase a gaming PC. I was there for about an hour looking. I finally came across one that wasn't in stock but after the associate looked, they said there was 3 and that it would be delivered in 3-5 days. I was ok with that but stressed that I needed it before Christmas. He assured me it would be, since it was only the 7th. On Friday Dec. 21, I heard from Best Buy and i was told i could pick it up Saturday. Unfortunately, i was out of town so Monday early afternoon i went to pick it up. When i went to the first associate who was rude, she told me it wasn't there. I asked to speaj to a manager immediately because the only reason i was there was to pick up the PC! After talking to the manager(rude). His response was pfft! You won't get this before Christmas! I explained that i was told it was here and he said that it wasn't his problem and he has no control over what his employees say! WTF!! As a manager it is your job to have control! His whole attitude was terrible! and the associates were laughing I then lost my shit. This PC is not cheap and it was for my daughter! I was also going to buy a curved monitor that day but put it down after that interaction. I will Never buy anything from this Best Buy ever!! I went to staples to buy the monitor. Right now I'm dealing with Corporate Best Buy, I will not let this go!! As I was leaving the store furious, an older gentleman was dealing with the same issue. I also got a membership for the Geek/-Squad for well over $200.00 so they could transfer my data from my old laptop and old iPhone to the new! Two days later it still was not done!!! They are too busy and do not give you the time if day! I got a refund for the membership and will be seeking a more organized and reliable business to help me for technical support. We went to Best Buy Walker Road location today looking for a new sound-bar for our TV, we were maybe in the store looking at the sound-bars for a few seconds before an employee named Hunter approached us, he was super friendly and knowledgeable on all the sound-bars and other electronics in the store (we also asked him about our router at home), he paid close attention to detail when hearing our needs and wants, remembering our names and even noticed and complimented my nails lol, he made such a previously frustrating experience we had early that day at other stores seem so easy as he assisted us through the entire process and had us leaving the store satisfied and excited for our new purchase! Customer Service here is non-existent. I ordered something on-line on a Wednesday, received an email confirmation which stated the items would be held for 3 days. My credit card was charged immediately. Later that same day (Wednesday), I received a voice mail stating that I had to pick the items up by end of that same day, or my order would be cxl. The message advised me to call the store. I called 4 times and all I got was an automated message, so I called their customer support number ( an 888 number) and spoke to someone in customer service. She told me that the stores don't pick up the lines anymore due to volume (although I was told to call the store). I explained to the person what had transpired earlier in the day...and she advised me that the store could not cancel my order as it was company policy to hold the items for 3 days. I explained that my concern was that 1 of the 2 items I ordered had limited stock, so if my order was cxl, would the store honour the sale price. I was again told my order could not be cancelled per company policy. Later that evening I got an email stating that Best But cancelled my order. Called customer service the next day and was basically told that even though their policy is a 3 day hold, the mgr could alter that policy. I asked where it stayed that and was told there was nothing in writing. The person said she could have the store mgr. call me, but that could take up to a week. So in essence, you can order something and even though the company allows for you to hold the item at the store for 3 days, the manager can do whatever they want to do. The item I ordered was a very large tv that would not fit in my vehicle, so I had arranged for a friend to meet me there the following day (day 1 of their 3 day hold) to pick it up. There are a few times in life you want to give less than 1 star but the system won't allow it, this is one. After reserving online and a mere 20 hours later proceeding to pick up, the unpleasant customer service rep was unable to locate, fine. After a few consultations the item was retrieved from god knows where. The store then claimed policy that the physical gift card was required than image was insufficient; bizarre because a Best Buy rep's from the Chatham store recommended this process, "won't be a problem". Inquiring whether or not I could pay online utilizing an image the response was "yes". Upon questioning they are able to scan or punch in the card numbers but policy says they can't!?! The rhetorical question of whether it can be returned and repurchased in Chatham was asked, and after a caucus between the sales associate and the manager, it was determined the appropriate response was "I guess so". In short policy seems to vary from store to store county to county, what an awful experience. read more

the geek squad at this location need to be fired i've gone to them 4 times in the past four years and always regret it. i buy everything from best buy but will never return to the geek squad for 2 reasons: unreasonable pricing on the smallest repairs and i feel taken advantage of at this location...i came in with my laptop on a hot summer day stressed out since i do everything on that laptop and was told that they don't know what could be wrong but they could check it for a fee (i don't remember just how much i just remember it being incredibly high) and being in college you can imagine how frustrated i was then i was told "you should pay $20 a month for unlimited geek squad services" as it is much less expensive but that too didn't make sense for such a minor issue i ended up going to a local repair shop and got it figured out/fixed in less time than it took to negotiate with the geek squad they acted like i was some type of inconvenience and didnt care for my business read more
