We purchased NordVPN from Best Buy through one of their telephone sales agents. Now our computer is super slow and our phones no longer connect to our vehicles. We were told by the phone salesman that a VPN was a necessity. He neglected to say it's really only needed if you use public wifi, which we don't. We went to our local Best Buy to see if they could help us with these problems and they told us that we don't need a VPN. We've removed the VPN from all of our devices and tried to return it nine days after the purchase date only to find out that the 30-day NordVPN 100% satisfaction guarantee doesn't apply if it's purchased at Best Buy. This is the same for almost all software that offers a money-back guarantee. Do yourself a favor and only purchase software directly from the manufacture. Insignia 250. I wish I could give the negative number -3 on the Best Buy customer service. No one had what should have been routine answers for questions I had and efforts to trouble-shoot issues were never offered as they arose. I was repeatedly told by Best Buy staff that they could not help me, to contact Insignia products. At least Insignia was easier to talk to but lacked appropriate communication with Best Buy staffers themselves. There were contradictions in what I was repeatedly being told without explanation or clarification. After an over 500$ purchase which included a warranty, I have wasted hours trying to get the information needed. Let me be clear... BEST BUY sucks. The organizations Best Buy pays to pick up the pieces after the traumatic experience of dealing with in-store inept personnel far exceed any of Best Buy efforts. My ac unit was bought outright in April and only was used weeks in May when it was first turned on. The manual is useless. Everything I found was posted online never clearly getting a picture of how to use my unit to increase its longevity. I have cashed in with my warranty and the new unit has now been installed-a fight I had to take on even though I had paid for the original installation. With no coaching as to the effective use of the product I have done everything I can. It is a loud unit, louder than the first. I found that information online. What is normal for the Insignia ac? I don't know but maybe I will trip over more info online. It sure wont be found at the store. What is the recommended maintenance? That info is coming in one small detail at a time, again online. And I paid what? 529$ and I cashed in on the replacement. I will run it until it runs no-more still doing the best I can with non-existent support I have. The young girl looked at it and had no clue what is was . She handed it to very tall next to her. he told us that technology is old. 20 years old. my husband said we bought the CD there last year. he kept telling us it's old technology and acted like we didn't know what we were talking about. after about 5 minutes of arguing we left. went to Costco. took the folder to register. she ran it through to pay. I made an appointment via Apple Support to have a microphone issue on my iPhone checked out at this Best Buy. The Geek Squad agent I was assigned was not only unhelpful, he was inappropriate. Within two minutes, he mentioned to me that he had a Mercedes. Within four minutes he was showing me pictures on his phone of his car and guitar. He took a video of me on his personal phone, then pretended to delete it (as if I'm not fully aware that you need to go into a separate folder to permanently delete something). He told me what time he was off work. All of this completely unsolicited by me. It made me feel extremely uncomfortable. I should have just walked out but my personality doesn't lend to making other people feel bad. So instead I put up with it and ended up feeling bad myself. The only thing this associate did to try and troubleshoot my issue was run diagnostics on my phone using a tool that Geek Squad has that plugs into your phone. He told me that everything was fine with my phone because the microphone issue wasn't showing up in the diagnostics, and that I should just buy a new phone. read more

Their system was down, a manager at another store tried to arrange for a purchase from another state. The manager at this store refused to do it, stating that it was against their policy (which I get - that is not the issue). I had the other manager on my phone and he asked to speak with him, then walked away with my phone, chewing the other manager out for trying to get it sorted. He then came over and shoved my phone back at me, all while the female manager was politely trying to explain what was going on. I had no clue what was going on but the male manager was aggressive and a serious jerk. I have no clue what is wrong with that dude but I recommend avoiding this store. read more

I'm not usually one to gush about big box stores, but these guys do such a great job that the story has to be told. We moved from Iowa to start a job in the summer of 2016. After an absolute trash fire of an experience with a home purchase that eventually fell through two days before we were supposed to move in, these guys were total rock stars and helping us change dates for delivery, get things returned and get new things bought. The place where they went totally above and beyond was with helping us apply coupons and what not to our purchases. For instance, since the appliances come with a 14 day return policy after they are delivered, anytime the price dropped these guys would honor it, Including when a 10% off coupon came a week after things were delivered. They helped me return the stuff and apply the coupon so we can save a little bit of cash. Stephen, Micah and Christy were all incredibly helpful and made the experience really good. The selection here is what you would expect to find in any Best Buy but the customer service was what really blew us away. This is the place we're going to be coming to get most if not all of our electronics going forward. keep up the great work! read more

I have no problem waiting for items to come in but Best Buy needs to give their employees the ability to to give customers information on their orders other than if it's going to take longer than 15 days we just cancel your order. read more

Well today I discovered that the price of item(s) on the shelf was inaccurate when shopping at this store. When I asked the associate for help he was just as confused as I when the price was double the advertised price. I proceeded to ask the store manager why they would charge me twice the shelf price, he insisted the vendor had mispriced item and would not adjust for the error. In fact not only was the item mispriced and the shelf with the displayed items was falling apart but the store manager was very rude and wasted a lot of my time. Why would you knowingly stand there talking away with another Best Buy associate not about "work" talk but just everyday conversation the help the two people that were patiently waiting in line to give you money and pay for an item? As for myself, I gave up waiting and trying to answer that question but if you have a fair, legitimate/logical answer I am happy to change my review. One of the items I ordered came in wrong, so after I left someone decided to cancel the order, no contact, no anything. Been looking for a new tv, I am on a budget but tried to do some research but I enjoy asking questions in store and seeing what the people that might know more about it help me make a decision. Well I walked around the TV department for about 5 minutes visibly looking for the two or three different brands I was interested in and couldn't find them and no one offered to help for a bit, (that's why there is four stars) but I did get some help eventually and then another employee came that seemed to know more about the TVs and that's when we started comparisons and such. What an awesome help he was especially since I can talk a lot and ask a lot of questions! Damon W I really appreciate the help and he definitely persuaded me on a different TV using factual and logical arguments on the Pros and Cons of each.. and we were only talking a $10 difference between the two brands and so I wasn't too concerned but wanted a somewhat professional opinion and he did a great job. And then of course helped me out of the store with it and cram that 65" LG in the back of the ole dodge. Don't go to the Yakima Best Buy if you want good customer service. I went here to buy a $1500 MacBook Pro after double checking their inventory online to see if it was available and it was. After arriving a Best Buy employee tried to tell me a MacBook was a stupid choice for a laptop and I should consider something else. She clearly rolled her eyes at me the proceeded to tell me they had no MacBooks except for the most expensive 2018 model which was $2500 one like it wasn't that big of a price difference. Multiple employees tried to help me afterwards because I did not believe this angsty teen who didn't even check any inventory. The other two men I talked to were even more rude to me, constantly interrupting me and not letting me finish a single sentence even when I was asking a question. They treated me like I was an idiot when I had already done hours of research before coming to the store. They were all incredibly rude and not helpful at all. While the geek squad employees were fast and friendly sadly the rest of the employees looked like they did not want to be there. Not even a smile felt very unfriendly throughout the store. I haven't shopped here in 8 years. And that visit was very pleasant. So what happened? I was in the area and thought I would check out the sound bars (I was going to get a new one for my dad). Found one that would work and there were plenty in stock so I decided to look around. I was approached by an employee that obviously uses a fat sharpie to dye the head and facial hair that covers what is most likely a toilet bowl of a face. "May I help you?!" He knashed out of that sloppy wet butt hole he calls his mouth. I told him I was just seeing what was new. Captain Rape Van did not like that! He began to berade me about sales ending and that I shouldn't waste his time by looking around. The worst part about it is. I just felt bad for the guy. As soon as I saw his spray painted hair and mustache I was like "I can't take this guy seriously. All I hear coming out if his mouth is fart sounds." Here's a tip,dude. Stopped in to purchase an adapter for the computer. Told the lady at the door what I was looking for. She walked me about half way to the aisle then pointed to the area in which I should find it. After looking for the adapter a few minutes I asked an employee to help me. He pretended he did not hear me and continued to walk past me. I had one of the WORST experiences here today. Was talked down to like I was stupid by a lady named Yasmine. I told her I would like to put the purchase on my Best Buy credit card but that I needed her help to look it up because I don't use it much at all. She asked me "how long has it been since you used it?" I responded "probably a couple of years" to which she replied "it's closed. They close them after a year". I said "no, it's open. I know my account is active. Perhaps my card is expired but my account is open". She responded (without looking me up at all) "like I said, the account is closed. Wanna apply for one?". Mind you, I am in the finance industry and monitor my credit daily. I am well aware whether or not I have a credit line opened. I ask her again to look me up and we had issues doing so. She rolled her eyes multiple times and finally called the customer service line essentially to "prove me wrong". Well guess what? I have a credit card and it's not closed. Shocking. Yasmine needs to reevaluate if a customer facing job is right for her. If she were my employee she wouldn't have a job after speaking to customers with that attitude. And perhaps she needs some retraining around her knowledge of Best Buy credit accounts. I was going to be needing to purchase new appliances and electronics for an upcoming move, but won't be doing that with Best Buy. The discovery of fraudulent charges on my BB credit card along with horrible customs service from their online store and on the phone with the Yakima store, was very dissappointing. I was trying to buy a particular laptop but gave up after this experience... I was never going to shop with BB again. I decided to go to the Yakima store and vent my concern. Went looking for a computer. Stood around after checking out want I wanted. Looked around for someone to help me for another 15 minutes. Finally went to front door and asked if anyone was working in the computer dept. The girl said she'd get someone to help me. So I went back to the computer dept. Waited for another 30 minutes.
