Service at the entrance and from geek squad was super frustrating. Miscommunication and bad information including that they do repair Samsung cell phones, need for an appointment. Wasted time and ultimately told they do not repair Samsung phones. The manager for geek squad blamed front entrance personnel his staff and Samsung but never really acknowledged what a bad system they have. When I sat down with an associate the first thing he asked was "did you buy the phone here" took in in the back came back and said they don't repair Samsung phones! I will never go back read more

Today I searched for what the website stated should be in stock to no avail. However, the wonderful cashier was able to locate the items in no time and ring me out with a super sale price. After many frustrations with Best Buy in numerous locations, I've finally had it. Bought a lousy Dell which literally started to fall apart after 8 months----not Best Buy's fault. But I bought a BB warranty just in case. Come to find out that any hardware must be sent away to a "service center" for "two to four weeks." Took the computer to Cyber Express----they could not fix a simple hinge break any faster (and charged $50 for the "diagnostic"), so I took it back to Best Buy. Now I find out that there is a $99 "service fee"----the Geek Squad calls it a "copay"----which just increased the cost of my warranty by a third. I never would have payed for such a lousy "warranty" if I had known. Of course, we should always read the fine print. But who is going to read 14 single-spaced, 7 point contract in the store when trying to buy a computer? I would ask that the dull-eyed sales people and stressed-out Geek Squad should explain these things to customers at the time. BTW, Best Buy's "Terms & Conditions" does not specify how much a "service fee" costs, only that it can be changed at any time-----I wonder if I could take this to small claims court? Best Buy has lousy customer service, bad products, and incompetent people. And the corporate structure is built to do less with less. I hope this Best Buy closes. Stay away. read more

Horrible delivery! I bought a stove and a refrigerator from the Boardman store. The refrigerator was delivered the next week but I waited weeks for the stove to not have it delivered on the day that I was scheduled. The delivery times were between 7 am and 7 pm. I received an email that stated that I had a delivery window of 9 am to 1 pm. They never showed up and I called three times to have them say it was in transit. My third call was after 7 pm. After demanding to know where my stove was, the rep. placed me on hold and said that I would have to call the next day to reschedule the delivery. I told them that I was not going to do so and that Best Buy should call ME the customer to put it right. I am livid. I waited the entire day, ate sandwiches for dinner, not knowing if they would show up while I was cooking, and was feed BS when I called twice and was about to be on the third. It is horrible that my time is not important to them to at least call me and update me. The website said three stops ahead of me for hours was never updated throughout the day. At this rate, my payment will be due before I actually receive the stove. Shame on you Best Buy!!!! read more

This company used to be SOOO great, but now that we have made the owner and the investors Billions they no longer care about the people they serve. I was in this location to have my laptop worked on, I was assured that the minor work that needed to be done would be straightforward and done by end of day. I called 8 hours later and was told by a computer that a tech had not even been assigned to my computer. I decided to go to this location again, I met with a young dude with stars stuck all over his face. I told him that I was told that a tech had not even been assigned by the online resource, and I wanted to pick up my computer which when I dropped it off STILL WORKED, but needed a bigger hard drive. Well he comes back out and tells me that "We got the hardware swapped out, but set it aside until we had time for the updates, and data transfer." Sooo he told me that we did enough of the work that my functioning, as of this morning, computer no longer functioned until they got around to doing the updates and data transfers. Now I am a curious dude, and a tech had opened my laptop before I even left, and I saw it physically open. I know how long it would take to change the drives, but not having the equipment to transfer the data I figure I would just let them do it. I asked the tech if they did a direct close of the drive, her response "No WE don't clone them, be just move the users folder from one drive to the other and copy them that way which does not take much more than a half an hour. Then we do the updates which can take usually more than an hour or two depending." I asked star boy how much longer, his reply "oh most likely tomorrow morning." Now I know a thing or two about computers actually, and I know that once an update is begun the machine does ALL THE WORK. It is the same with the data transfers. This should have been done if all the hardware had been "swapped" as he said, WHEN all the hardware was swapped. I then went to the manager, and this was the WORST part of my journey. Feeling like I was being hustled, I brought this to the attention of the manager. He went to check on the situation, and returned to tell me a lie, "So they are doing the updates now, but I have no idea why it is taking so long, but then they have to do the data transfers, so they will definitely have it done in the morning." Star boy had just told me that they had set it aside until they had enough time to do updates and the data transfer a minute earlier. This was very interesting, not liking what I was being told, I asked "why did they not begin the updates and data transfers when they swapped the drives." In other words why did they no finish the work when the started it. It seemed a reasonable question enough to ask. He said he did not know, and I replied with "This feels like a hustle, and it is NOT how to do business." Needless to say he and I continued a reasonably calm verbal interaction, where I submitted my concerns and he answered with platitudes and an "It will be tomorrow morning." My response as I prepared to leave was "well I will be working all night to expand the crosshairs so that everyone can see how bad this store really is." And even as I turned to leave he intoned "you better leave you just threatened me." I was stunned and turned and calmly asked, "Are you an idiot, because you are acting idiotic. I did not threaten you in any way except to tell you I was going to complain everywhere I could to let people know how bad your store and your geeks are." His response still stuns me some, "No you said this store was in your crosshairs, and that is a threat." I had had enough at this moment, but stayed long enough to say "Yup, you are an idiot, you might want to learn the English language and maybe learn what a catechism is, because I did not threaten you. I promise you though I will let people know how BAD this store is." I could not even be angry at this dude, I actually felt pretty bad for him. To have to lie to cover for his crews failures though is the ultimate failure of leadership. I left and cancelled my Wife's Total Tech, and sent my Credit Card through the shredder. I will end with this little note, if people are dumb enough to go to this store and repeatedly get treated like this, then you deserve what you get. Their used to be a time when customer service mattered, but now that we have made Richard M. Schulze and his board and investors infinitely rich 46 billion dollars richer they do not have to care. I let my wife talk me into using her Total Tech account, and I will regret that decision for a long time coming. This company is starting to lose grounds and I can see why, I hope to see this store to be defunct as SOOOO many other Best Buys now are. The Boardman Best Buy is a pretty good place to go when you're in need of electronics or accessories for your electronics. I have recently purchased a few phone cases here, as well as a screen protector for my Apple Watch. Sales people are not really that helpful. Many of them seem confused when asked a question. But on a positive note, they definitely do not hover over you while you shop here and push you to buy products. From my experience, they will price match, which is really awesome. The service is really slow though. It seems they do not have enough people working in the checkout and Geek Squad areas. Overall, this place is alright and one of the better places to go in the Boardman area for electronics. Just be prepared for slow service and do your research before coming into the store so you don't have to ask a lot of questions. read more

Best Buy in Boardman, OH sold me a broken/reboxed tv. It was too large for me to stand completely upright to take home so I had to lean it over- on those grounds they refused to replace it. I have video proof that the TV was not boxed correctly- no shipping straps and it wasn't wrapped in the protective bag when I removed it from the box. I only found out the issues pointing to it being a previously used TV when I bought another new one and saw how it was supposed to be packaged. So THEY damaged it, put it back in the box and sold it to me as new. I've contacted the BBB and State Attorney General's Office but it seems like they won't be doing anything to resolve it. Unfortunately there's not a lot of options to buy TV's, so if you do buy here, open it in the store and check it before you buy it. Lesson learned and one less customer they'll have. read more

We got the installation and when the fridge we picked out was too big to fit through the kitchen door they were able to help us get a different model that worked. Horrible experience. Went to pick up a 'curbside pickup' order during COVID-19 (there are parking spots outside labeled curbside pickup.) Called the store to inform that I was there to pickup & they just hung up on me. So, I went inside, they immediately asked me what I was there for as if I wasn't aloud in, which made me feel uncomfortable. I told them I was there for curbside pickup & they pointed me to the right where the 'curbside' pickup counter is- inside. I was picking up on behalf of my mother who lives in a rural area of PA roughly an hour away from this store. She bought an iPad for my dad for Christmas. After waiting in line for 'curbside pickup' inside the store at the counter, they told me that I couldn't pick up the iPad because I wasn't my mother- it had to be her. Even though we share the same last name. They then told me I could pay for it myself, but that I would still not be aloud to take it home. This after my mother already paid for it online. A lot of sense that made! I asked them if they could just ship it to our home, and they said no. I asked them what to do & they told me to contact corporate. So, I got in my car and contacted corporate on my way home. After sitting on the phone with corporate my entire drive home (an hour) the gentlemen on the phone had prompted me through several steps I had to take to add myself as an authorized person to pick up my dads iPad. I did what he told me, and he said that I could now pick it up at anytime! I went back the next day, same thing. They would not give me the product. Finally, a manager came over and simply said "they both have the same last name, we can just give it to him." And I went on my way. This is not the first time I have had issues with this store. The staff are not friendly, very unknowledgeable when it comes to the products they sell & they have given me and my family many issues over the years. We have finally decided it is no longer worth it to shop Best Buy. I will order the products we need in the future directly from the manufacturer. How ridiculous to think that I could have walked right into the store & bought the same iPad with my mothers credit card, but had the most difficult time picking it up after it already being paid for, sharing the same last name and being added as an authorized person for 'curbside pickup!' He also called me before my appointment and told me I was welcome to come in early, which was very helpful. When he was done he walked me through everything very thoroughly and was courteous and helpful. Just spent almost 30 minutes in the store waiting for some assistance to purchase some wireless entertainment equipment including an Amazon echo. No one was available. Went next door to H.H. Gregg and was helped in less than 5 minutes. Same gear, same prices, just far better service. On my way out of the store I mentioned to the man in a yellow shirt that the American flag was hung backwards. He said that's OK, it can be seen properly from the front of the store. Problem is the front of the store is all signage and flag is only visible from inside the store. Poor service plus non-caring staff makes this a poor location for loyal BB Shopper's Today is February 6th. I tried to get someone to answer the phone for almost 45 minutes. This place is a joke. I purchased a refurbished max book for my son they handed it to me on pick up at 515. Took it home it did not work after three calls to Best Buy an associate was able to help me. I worked 10 hours that day and obviously didn't want to be there but didn't want to disappoint my son. Took it back after they said it would be 30 mins in the store and it took them an hour and a half. When I was literally in tears over frustration and employee came up and told me " u bought it refurbished " I said u should check it it was in an open box so I had to make two additional trips to bet buy again he could clearly see I was upset and after leaving the store after an hour and a half I again said you should check your merchandise before sending it out of the store. The employee then began explaining why they don't and I told him I don't want to hear an explanation I wanted for him to understand he was working with an upset buyer. He said sorry! Hope u have a nice day. I told him he needed to be empathetic not a dick. Obviously This dixkhead had no empathy for the two hours I had stressed over this situation. Consumer beware. Purchased product that did not work. 15 day return policy. Was very surprised about that when I went to return the item. I work like most of the consumers that shop at Best Buy. RUN do not walk RUN from this store if you have to get anything installed. I had to drive 1 and 1/2 hours to get two remote starters installed in my cars. After 8 hours I had neither of them installed, I ended up leaving and having to reschedule in another 6 weeks. It only gets better the installer did not know how to install them and ended up screwing up my electrical system. Now when I push my brakes the front turn signals turn on and the rear brakes lights go out. He was told not to cut into the wiring harness by me and yet he went ahead and did it anyway. He ended up removing it completely but the problem persists this was after 5 and 1/2 hours for a 2 1/2 hour installation job. Then he brought my other car in and he wanted to adapt the one harness to fit my different car and TRY to see if it works. I TOLD HIM HELL NO. remind you I drove 2 cars 1 1/2 hours each way to get this done. I contacted TTS and all they said was nothing they could do it is all the stores responsibility. I bought an iPad case accidentally for the wrong size iPad. They returned it and said the money will be back on my debit card and I used it as debit too. So this company talks so good about their so called geek squad and it's been seven days and I still haven't gotten my money back. I don't need the money it's just the principle of the thing. If you return something to homedepot, it goes directly back on your card that day but the tech savvy store can't do it In a week?..lol. Sad Best Buy, it's just sad and makes you guys look dumb. I wish I could give no stars whatsoever. I am honestly disgusted that in 2021 assumptions are still being made based off of a person's skin tone. My boyfriend works for a car dealership that I will not name for the sake of his privacy and theirs. His service manager ordered him a laptop for work from best buy out of the kindness of his heart. My boyfriend picked up the laptop that was ordered to him. A week goes by and we find out that he was given another person's laptop. How you might ask? Two police officers show up to the dealership my boyfriend works at with an accusation that he stole the laptop. The Best Buy camera's got his name and place of business as he was in his work shirt when he picked up the wrong laptop that was given directly to him by Best Buy. I headed to Best Buy yesterday with the intentions of buying a printer that would be compatible with my new laptop. I was greeted and went right to printers. And waited and waited. Finally asked a man in the computer section if he worked there, he did not but would tell them I needed help. I thanked him, and then waited and waited. Finally, walked back to the front door where the blue shirts were gathered and chatting. The greeter asked if I needed help. I was beginning to feel angry but I politely said that I did with a printer. He turned to another employee and asked if he could help. The employee looked at his watch and said that he was on break and had 4 more minutes. With that I really should have walked out. They did send someone to me and I got a little information but printers were limited as to what was in stock. I decided to head to another store that sells printers and the service was super!!! Horrible Management! They lost a $1000.00 sale from me. Picked out a TV and was working with an associate on purchasing a Subwoofer as well. I wanted to take advantage of their price match guarantee. I pulled up both the Best Buy Policy and also the website which was Walmart on my phone to use as a reference and make sure that it applied to me. As per their verbiage in the policy I could save about $ 70.00. The manager has to approve these matches, so she comes over to look at my information gave me about 3 minutes of her time before she was quick to tell me that I was wrong and gave no explanation as to why. She escalated her rudeness and dismissed me and walked away. I can't believe they have management that are not customer friendly. ordered a washing machine on March 10th from the boardman, OH location, and set up delivery for March 16th between 7am and Noon. At 4:30 PM I recieved a call saying there were "Truck Issues" and another call at 4:32 PM saying a driver was injured and needed to reschedule. We rescheduled for March 20th between 7 AM and Noon. I recieved both a text message and email at 11:24 am saying the truck was on their way, and another at 11:27 saying the delivery was completed. Since the dilevery never came, I called 1888 Best Buy, and they told me they needed to reschedule again, and they would give me a $75 gift card, and then lowered the amount to $50 in the same sentence. The company has already robbed me of 2 days, and I am not willing to let them take a third. read more

I have shopped at best buy for years. I just moved from San Diego Ca. First we had a printer that went out we had full coverage insurance to replace the product no matter what instead they charged even more money for the new one.second I had a Samsung galaxy view same thing full coverage insurance they said no matter what it was covered. The motherboard went out i had it repaired got it back and couldn't update at all so I took it back in and they couldn't fix it they said come to the store and get a new one its covered. when I showed up they refunded my money "store credit". Iwent to the back and found someone to help me they brought up an open box item that they said they pulled from display and wanted to charge me full price almost another $200.00 on top of the $512.00 i had already spent on the original view. When I asked why it was so much the guy told me that the price went up since i bought mine when it was on sale and it didn't matter if I had insurance or not that was the price I had to pay all he could do was give me a small discount of $50.00. I said why would I want to pay more money for something that i already paid for and was covered by insurance.he said there's nothing I can do.and walked away smiling. Beware when best buy tries to sell you full coverage insurance they do not stand behind the products they sell or the insurance. I have never had a problem in Ca. Terrible management. After calling to see about a broken item I received as a gift to get an exchange for one that was not broken. I was told yes for an even exchange with no receipt. Then after getting there two different managers told me no and would not back their product. Manager Angela told me that it was not her problem and I need to call the company. I got a WiFi digital photo frame for Christmas. I had to wait until my daughter could load pictures on a flash for me. We finally got that done and took the frame out of the box and plugged it in. Found out it was cracked inside. My husband and I took it back to Boardman Best Buy and told us they would not do anything for us that it was past the 15th of January. I had the receipt and that is the store it was bought in. The clerk and the manager "Angela" were very rude and unhelpful. Never go to that store. read more
