My washer stopped draining and and spinning. The lid switch had broken again so we discussed bypassing it. But water got into the timer from so much humidity in the room from the broken water heater, that even though it now powered on after the bypass, it would still not spin. He advised replacing the machine or for something used if money was an issue since repairing the timer on such an old machine was not really worth it. My point is this. He is a great technician. I had a 12-year old LG refrigerator that was not cooling enough. I left a message for Manny and he called back promptly. He explained that LGs have compressor issues and that I was lucky to have gone so long without an issue. His recommendation was to buy a new refrigerator because the cost of repairing with a new compressor would be over $1000. He recommended other brands to buy and offered his help if I needed advice in the future. He easily could have had me pay for an onsite diagnosis, but instead he said that 9/10 times, it's the compressor and that I should not waste my money. I called in the morning, Manny gave me the rate for the evaluation visit, which is applicable toward the repair fee if I decided to fix it. He said he would be there that afternoon. Since somebody else has to give him access to the apartment, he called announcing he was in his way 30 minutes before arrival. 9/8/20 I overloaded my washing machine and it broke the spinning part. I hired Manny at Best choice and he came on time and fixed it within 45 minutes. It's a miracle in today's world.
