My friend chose Best Coast Tours for her wine tasting birthday celebration in Temecula this weekend and we all had a great time! Our driver/tour guide, Joseph, was awesome. He was so friendly, accommodating, and very knowledgeable... and he let us pick the music (extra points)! We were a group of 9 and did the South OC pickup from San Juan Capistrano. The shuttle van fits a total of 14, so we were joined by another couple and pair of sisters, who thankfully, were really cool people, so it wasn't awkward at all. The shuttle van was very comfortable and Joseph provided waters and snacks, but you can also bring your own if you like. We visited 4 wineries in total, tastings and winery tours were included in the ticket price, and most wineries offer a 10-25% discount on bottle purchases through Best Coast Tours as well. You can even order your lunch in advance, not included in the ticket price, to be delivered during your lunch stop on the tour. We chose that option and enjoyed our lunch seated at a table on the grass listening to live music. Everything was so convenient and we really got lucky with the beautiful weather. Overall it was a great experience, I would definitely recommend Best Coast Tours to anyone from SoCal looking to spend a day out in Temecula without any of the stress of planning and coordinating. Booked them for a Temecula Winery Tour and worked with Joseph planning how I wanted the day to look like. They have 3 wineries included in the tour which includes tastings at all of them. Our 1st stop was at Danza del Sol because they're the earliest that opens in the valley at 10:30am. Known for their whites, the Estate Sauvignon Blanc was my favorite there. They gave us a production tour before heading off to the next winery. Oak Mountain was everyone's least favorite. Sure, the cave tour was interesting, their charcuterie board was pleasant to the eyes and palate, though sadly, their wines were horrible. Lunch is not included in the package so I was able to choose where to go - Bolero at Europa Village. Reservations were made in advance, thanks, Joseph and he dropped us off there giving us about 1.5 hours before picking us up to continue with our tour next door. Our last stop for the day turned out to be my number one out of all the 3 wineries. Callaway has beautiful grounds, they have a more high end vibe, and the wines were better in quality relatively speaking. I enjoyed their 2019 Winemaker's Reserve Chardonnay, 2018 Wild Yeast Viognier, 2018 Wild Yeast Petite Sirah, and 2018 Wild Yeast Cab Sauv. I only wish we stayed outdoors to soak in the weather and scenery but the tasting was indoors so we hung out at the bar inside. We spent about an hour at each winery and by 3:30pm, we were ready to head back to OC. Joseph was a great guide all in all. While driving, he would tell us bits of interesting information about the wineries, stables, etc. we'd see along the way - very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. Went out for a wine tasting tour with Best Coast Tours and had a great day. Our guide Joseph picked us up at the train station in San Juan Capistrano with his tour van - this was so convenient! He was right on time and we had a great conversation on the drive over to Temecula. The tour included stops at 4 wineries, and tasting at 3 of them. Joseph explained a little bit about each winery and more about the beautiful area in between stops. He dropped us off at the entrance to each winery and we visited on our own as a group (although it would've been fun if he could join us, even though he couldn't drink!). Each winery does things a little bit differently. For example, the first one gave us a grand tour with one of the owners (which was my least favorite stop because we really didn't see or learn much and the tour felt rushed), another one sat us at a table with several glasses of wine set up on a placemat and then gave us a tour of their wine cave (really cool!), and we were sent on our own at the last one with tickets to order from the bar (this one felt very impersonal, but the property is gorgeous!). Lunch was provided by Board & Brew and we sat outside of the winery that did not include tasting while listening to a live band. If you wanted to drink you would have to buy your own, which was fine! I enjoyed sitting in the grass watching the band. Overall this was a great tour. Best Coast Tours did a great job touring us around and I would absolutely book another tour with them again. The only reason this review is a 4 star instead of a 5 was because of the specific wineries. I wish it was a little more personal, with someone that was able to spend a little time with us explaining things instead of just filling our glass. read more

This was a really great way to get to see all the fun touristy parts of Los Angeles without having to drive, Park, read my own tour book, and plan it all out. Josh was a fantastic guide who provided lots of interesting information and remained friendly despite starting the day off with a touch of high-quality and unexpected Los Angeles traffic. Everyone had a really great time! There are enough activities that everyone got to have a favorite. And the all important bathroom stops are well-timed with well described locations. There were a couple comments that eating at the farmers market was a little pricey for lunch, but based on my experience with farmers markets the portions were huge and prices were a little lower than what I expected. The selection and the ambience of the farmers market is well worth the $15 lunch. Just make sure you plan to have some cash, and some of the vendors only take cash. The drive up through Mulholland was fun, and there was plenty of character at Venice Beach. I personally loved getting to see the Hollywood stars and the hand prints at Gorman's theater. These are things I never would have done on my own, but we're super fun touristy activities. And what can I say, it is difficult to beat door to door service from my hotel and not having to drive an inch. Light snacks and cold water were provided throughout the tour. Best Coast Tours picked us up at the timeshare where we vacationed at Capistrano Beach. We booked the San Diego Wednesday, 9 AM - 5:30 PM tour. The guide/driver took us to interesting sites and gave us informative narration about the places we passed and stopped to visit. The van ride was comfortable and relaxing. Bottled water and snacks were provided. The driver suggested time allotment for each site but allowed the passengers to make a final decision on exploring the sites on our own. We had a wonderful time on our Best Coast Tour of Los Angeles. We enjoyed a wide overview of the city, as well as some detail of things we would have otherwise missed. In one day we saw the entire region, being shuttled to the front door of most all of the attractions, rather than fighting parking and trying to find things on our own.
