I have nothing but the best things to say about The level of service I receive from Best Comfort. They did furnace work at my house a few years back and when my parents moved into the neighborhood we needed the furnace checked at their new house. After doing my research and calling 3 different companies for quotes, we decided to hire Best Comfort again. The top factor being professionalism and eagerness to do the work that required much effort. One company looked at the problem and honestly said, sorry we don't have the manpower or time to do the work and they still charged me $85 to just come to the house. Best comfort does not shy away from the level of work required. Just today, we had a silly question to ask about the furnace they installed. Without hesitation the owner immediately come out to explain what was going on and ease our concerns. This is the level of service that is provided by everyone we have met from Best Comfort. Whoa Charlie, where do I begin?!! As an extreme yelper, I should've looked this place up after my fiance said he booked them to fix our furnace. So supposedly they hire contractors to complete the services and repairs for them. We originally had an appointment scheduled for 6-7pm, 730pm comes around and they are a no show. Fiance calls and the young man says, well they double booked me, Im not coming tonight but I will come in the morning between 7-8am. We agree seeing as though a cold house doesn't make us happy. So we suck it up, blanket up and hoodie up for another day in the cold. When the AM approaches, fiance calls at 7am to confirm they will be on there way. The worker said he would be there at 7:30am perfect. Now its 8:30am and they have yet to arrive. Fiance moves forward with taking our little ones to school then they arrive while he's leaving out, a whole hour and a half later. Since school is 10 mins away, he ask them politely to wait. Seeing as though they defaulted on two scheduled appointments already, it should not be a problem to wait 10 mins. The guy agrees to wait then LEAVES. SMH. Once called he claims he actually could not wait. We move forward with contacting his manager due to these multiple missed appointments and unprofessionalism. The manager is taking the side of the worker saying we should not have asked him to wait, although they defaulted on us multiple times. Then the manager says if he missed so many appointments with you, we will pull the phone records and fire him by 1pm. Hey not trying to get anyone fired but its CLEAR THIS COMPANY AS A WHOLE does not have it together. The company is to blame for their inefficiency. Now back to the drawing board.... read more

They offer same day service & waive the diagnostic fee if you go with their quote. Tre the master tech offers wonderful service & definitely knows his stuff. The master tech came out & let me know that the reason my furnace was having so many issues after only 2 years of service is because not only it was improperly installed, but it is the wrong type of furnace for the way my house is built. They offered a better solution which included a tankless water heater that was much cheaper than what another contractor quoted to install a new furnace & redo the ductwork. read more

I could not get a hold of any money until Tuesday. Trey did not leave me in the trenches, he took a personal interest and helped me pay for what I needed personally, then waited for me to pay HIM. Absolutely worst company you could ever do business with!!!! Dishonest, lying, money hungry vultures that prey on people that aren't well versed on HVAC!!! Pay attention to the bad reviews since those go into great detail while the good reviews are very vague and most likely employees. About one year ago, my a/c went out. I called this company and a guy showed up promptly, fixed the a/c, and asked me to make the check out to him personally. I figured that he was a solo business owner, no big deal, not terribly professional, but whatever. I paid him, and was texted a "receipt." Fast forward to one year later and my furnace isn't working. I called the number that I got the receipt from. This time I get a receptionist who tells me that someone will be to my house between 1 and 3. I informed her that I had to work but that my 19 year old daughter would be home to let the tech in. At 3 I called my daughter to see if they ever came and what they said the issue was. She said yes, they came, changed the batteries in the thermostat, charged us $140.00 and left. Now, bear in mind 1. The thermostat was working. 2. The batteries in the thermostat were only a few months old. 3. The furnace still didn't work. My significant other came home, went into the basement, fiddled with the furnace, and was able to get it to work. Meanwhile, the weather warmed up. Well, the reality was, the furnace still wasn't working. So a week later when the temperature dropped outside, it dropped inside. Now this is a huge problem for me, because I have two very large, very expensive tropical parrots who are susceptible to cold! So I called the company back, gave them a piece of my mind, they attempted to justify the $140.00 charge for changing perfectly good batteries, and said they would send another tech out. Another tech came, again, I had to work, and my daughter was home. I left strict instructions that I was to be called with the results of the inspection. I wasn't. The tech told my daughter there was a safety concern and that the furnace could not be repaired and that we needed a new furnace. Wow. From $140.00 batteries to a new furnace? That's quite a journey! about 8 hours later, I finally received a phone call from the tech. He said that as my daughter had told me, that I needed a whole new furnace and that it was critical because of safety concerns. I informed him that due to my previous experience with his company, his credibility was shot, and I was getting a second opinion. He offered to apply the $140 I paid for my battery change for the new furnace. I said I was still getting the second opinion. The next day, I got the second opinion. My filter was clogged. The furnace was fixed, finally, for $90.00. Yet Best Comfort wanted to replace my whole furnace!!! Yah!!! Consider yourself warned. This is the kind of company that would amputate your arm for a papercut because it's financially beneficial for them to do so. read more

Hired this company to install a new furnace and air conditioner. $7700. They did a horrible job. They cut my siding in the wrong spot and left a hole in my siding. They left a mess in my basement as well. I called Tre the owner and he stated he would have someone fix the siding. I never heard anything. Called him again, he gave me a contractors name to fix it, called the contractor he never showed. Called Tre again, he said he was sending a guy out to fix it, that was a year ago. Still not fixed. Its Thanksgiving day, wake up to no heat, I found Best Comfort Heating and cooling, and gave them a call, they did me right and was out in a very timely fashion, I am back up and running, with the heat, and no huge bill that seemed unfair or impracticable, I will be using them in the future, hopefully not having to call again on any more holidays. If I could give this place a zero I would! Long story short, the technician told us we needed a new AC Unit and it would be about $3500. We had a second opinion from a LICENSED company and they fixed our issue immediately and the part only cost $15! They know most people don't know what to look for so they take advantage of the situation. Terrible ethics! read more

We hit a snag when installing our new thermostat and the furnace fan for our air conditioning wouldn't work in 90 degree weather late on a Saturday night. We called Best Comfort at 9:30 on Sunday morning and they had our air working by 10:30am, without trying to up sell our older furnace to a new one. Their 85.00 service call fee was applied to our repair. Everyone was courteous and professional. Would definitely use them again. read more

The cost of replacing a flame sensor is about $80-100 . They are a scam. I am very unhappy with their service. I should have read their reviews before calling them. I called them yesterday to get a quote on replacing 2 commercial air units at my office. The woman said there would be an $85 fee for the quote, but if I ended up using them, the fee would not be charged. OK, I can work with that. After doing a lot of Hmmmm, uh, well...she scheduled me for a 3:00pm appointment yesterday. I explained that it was fine, our office closes at 4 and I can't stay late. She said even if he got to me at 3:30 it would be fine because estimates don't take that long. I waited until 4:05pm. No show, no call. Too bad for them! The other 2 estimates I've gotten are in the $14,000 range. Guess they don't need the money. I wish there was a no-star option. read more

I called on a Saturday to make an appointment for later in the week to fix the heater in my garage. to my surprise, the technician called back and was at my house less than 30 minutes later. My garage was warm again less than 30 minutes after that! I was thrilled. But Now I have to go back and finished cleaning the garage! read more

Does the job but completely overcharges. The parts repaired cost $34 online and the whole job took 30 minutes. They charged me $365. If you do the math on it, even with about a 100% mark up on the parts, the cost comes to $600/hr. (If you round the 30 minutes to a full hour it is still $300/hr) They use a flat rate charging system so it costs the same if they are here 30 minutes or 6 hours. The two parts and furnace brand are well known in HVAC, and Best Comfort should know the length of time it takes to replace them, i.e. 30min. This was also the price for just the 2 parts replacement. If that did not fix the problem it would have cost more. Twice I emailed the company asking for an itemized receipt and have heard no response. read more

Called on a Friday to schedule a furnace cleaning and safety check. Got a very vague quote as to what the cost would be, but scheduled an appointment anyway - for Tuesday at 4:30. I called on Monday to confirm and again asked about the $85 fee and got another vague answer, but didn't want to cancel since my tenant took time off of work to make sure he'd be home for the service. Tuesday, 4:45, nobody showed up or called me. At 5:15, I called them and was told I did NOT have an appointment. I expressed my disappointment and anger at the time wasted. Hung up. Got a call (what a surprise!) about 5 minutes later about "the problem" with the scheduling. No thanks! Called Lockwood Furnace , spoke to a very helpful person and am now on their schedule. Who, in the age of technology, with access to hundreds of Air and Heating companies and social media available at your finger tips, treats a potential customer in this way. If there was a zero star choice for a review - I'd give that! Gotta wonder about all the 5 star reviews for this place- how did those people get that service and I couldn't get ANY after two phone calls! I would not recommend this company-their phone staff needs training on what services are offered, and how to use a calendar. read more

Great experience for me personally.. dealt with 3 companies last week.. the last one was this company.. I'm glad i called this company.. Very happy and satisfied with the service!! Lloyd and Matt came to my house installed an AC unit this past Sunday.. these guys were honest and professional.. Saved me a few $$$ because they saw that my coils were new and didn't need replacement and they told me upfront instead of just changing it and keeping the extra $$$.. its hard to find honest people nowadays.. also, i was with them the whole time of the install and i witnessed a very systematic install which is great and i could tell that they knew exactly what they were doing. For me, this is the only company i will be calling and would probably always request for Lloyd even if i have to wait. read more

Furnace stopped working so I called this place since they were one of the top searches in the area. Needed to have the blower motor replaced. Two guys showed up, looked at the furnace and I was told the cost would be $675. It seemed high to me but it was below freezing and we needed heat in the house so I said okay just go ahead and fix it. They showed up around 1230PM and were gone by 130PM. After they left I looked at the bill and it says I was charged 2 labor hours at $135 per hour. The whole time 1 guy worked on the furnace while the other guy just ran to the truck a couple times for tools and a new part and watched the other guy work. Apparently both guys get that ridiculous rate even though 1 of them barely did anything. I would not recommend this place since they overcharge for the part (I was charged about $400 for a part I found online for around $200) and send 2 guys to do the job of 1 guy and charge for both. Furnace works for now, hopefully I don't have to take them up on the 1 year warranty because I don't want to deal with them again. read more

I called Best Comfort based on Google reviews. I have to a.c. because of TR miller, which is a garbage company. I spoke to Timmy and explained to him how TR Miller came out to clean my ac and then the tech left and said I needed a new ac even though it was working just fine until he drained all the Freon Now I have no AC. Josh called me before he came out and said that what the tr miller tech did caused the a.c. to stop working. Josh came over and quoted me an ac and asked him to quote me a furnace as well..I asked how fast he could do the install on both. He said tomorrow. I told him perfect..I questioned the goodman ac and furnace they use because of the reliability. But with the warranty they offer, I said yes. The issue with Goodman is not the product, it's how it's installed. Josh reassured me that Brian is a great installer and does great work. So I will give 4 stars for now until after the install.
