We recently had a leak from our T&P valve connected to our water heater which went from a little bit of water to a continuous drip leading to buckets of water having to toss out every 2-4 hours. By Contacting Hagerty & Sons, they not only came out the next day, but they were understanding, up front, and did not overcharge by trying to add any extra unneeded parts or repairs like the other two estimates that had previously had come out. They were very knowledgeable & replaced my corroded T&P valve and corrected our issues that were absolutely not supposed to be happening among new construction. I contacted Kuhn based on a recommendation from another plumbing company as their plumber had…read moreretired. I was looking at replacing 3 bathroom faucet cartridges, as I had one leaking and felt it was best to replace all 3 at once with one plumber visit. At first contact they requested I sent an email photo of the brand and they would have a plumber investigate and contact me with the replacement cartridges needed. I never heard back. I took a photo and put it in ChatGPT to find their recommendation and purchased them from Home Depot. I reconnected Kuhn and set up a time for a service call. The plumber came and after 30 minutes he informed me that the replacement cartridges I had brought were incorrect. He told me that the company will research the manufacturer and call me back with the product and costs. As I have a leaking faucet, how long would the turnaround be. His response was "we are not very good on that and it usually takes 2 to 3 months". I explained that my faucet is leaking and that is unacceptable. He said he will talk with his supervisor, but gave no guarantee or sense of urgency. I was charged a total of $263,25. The rate was $195 per hour. He was here a total of 45 minutes and charged me for travel time back to the shop. When I was quoted the price I was told it was for labor only and was not informed that it also included travel time, Overall, very disappointed that Kuhn felt it was acceptable to have a leaking faucet for 3 months, did nothing to fix the issue and have deceptive pricing.

I spoke to the owner and explained my problem and he asked me to send pics of the faucet type so he could send someone out to fix it. Owner sent a plumber to my home who did not have the part or the tool to fix the problem. What was the purpose of me sending pics of the faucet? My wife attempted to find the part at a local hardware store 5 min from our home for the plumber but was unable to do so. The plumber was at our home 20 min max, never fixed the problem and charged us $560 for an "emergency trip". I expected to pay for a trip charge, but to show up without the proper tool or part after requesting I send pics, is a clear indication this was a money grab! I called and spoke to the owner after receiving the invoice and his response to me was "his plumber was there more than 20 min and he already paid him so nothing he could do on the price". I paid the invoice but will never call them agin. I intend to tell everyone I know to avoid these guys like the plague, I would give a negative star if possible! Lastly, I purchased the cartridge and part the next day for under $20 dollars and fixed it myself in 10 minutes (watched a you tube video), btw I'm not handy at all. Run from these guys...rip off!
