Sadly, I have tried this establishment three times and have been disappointed on each occasion. They offer free vacuums and then you drive through the wash while in your vehicle. The Best Wash Plus, which is $20.00, does not even remove average dirt from the hood or sides of my vehicle. As a matter of fact, each time the hood and sides looked smeared as if the dirt was just moved around instead of removed. I left this place and went and washed my car off myself at a self serve car wash and then it was finally clean. I try to give businesses three chances, and if I'm still dissatisfied with the service, then it's three strikes and you're out. I would not recommend anyone waste their money on the wash. read more

I paid for the "best wash". The people were hands-on before I entered the automatic part as far as they gave me a pre rinse. And as it takes you through, everything is pretty standard. But the wipe down and final rinse could have been better. When I checked my car afterwards I saw there was still soap on the left side of the roof so clearly that wasn't very good. I usually think about washing my car when it's below zero, and no car washes are even open. That's just the way it goes. So I can thank a rude little tree that shatted sticky berries all over Gunter, my VW Jetta, for jogging my memory this time, when the temp was actually above 32 degrees. And given that I decided to do this when I had a few minutes to kill while driving down Bardstown Road, my Yelp search led me to Best Express Car Wash. I was immediately impressed that an actual human being came out to meet me, despite the fact that this is an automated car wash. This nice gentleman explained a bit about each of the washes. Since I couldn't recall when I last got a car wash -- I hate admitting that -- I opted for the most expensive wash ($16). This wash included some extra washing and protectant for the tires as well as something called "BODY SHIELD." Not exactly sure what this does, but the typeface on the wash board made it look hardcore. Really, Gunter just really deserved a good wash. It didn't feel right to skimp. The gentleman helped me line my car up on the conveyor belt, and away Gunter went. Soap. Flappy brusher thingies. Intense air drying. If you've ever been in a car wash, you know how this works. It always feels weird, though, to be in my car when it's moving yet I'm not controlling it, like a slow-mo car wreck. After three minutes -- as advertised -- my car wash was complete. And if I had wanted, I could have taken advantage of some free tokens to use on the machine to vacuum my car. According to a sign, free tokens come with each car wash. I pulled around to inspect the work. About 90 percent of the berries were gone, which is impressive considering how stuck on they appeared. I went back into the office and asked the man for some paper towels so that I could get the rest of the berries off while they were still a bit wet. He was very accommodating and even offered to let me go through the car wash again for free. I told him thanks, but just the paper towels would do. Those berries were some sticky buggers! So now Gunter is clean, and I'm happy to have found a good car wash to go to. I hope to go back before next winter ... and before I forget that I got my car washed in the first place. read more

I had been coming to the car wash for a while and was generally happy with the end result. On my most recent trip though (03/11/17), there was an accident. One of the support beams near the end of the wash cycle collapsed and damaged my car significantly. I conversed with the manager of the car wash a few days after the incident (3/13/17) and was told the owners of the business would likely pay cash to fix my car. I was happy with this because I did not want to run the risk of having this accident, which was in no way a fault of my own, show up with a reporting agency at a later date. The manager told me I would have to go to a body shop the wash dealt with exclusively to get an estimate. I was uncomfortable doing this and let the manager know that. My family and I have worked with a very reputable body shop for over 30 years and I wanted my car to be repaired by them. The manager told me I would have to get multiple quotes in order to have the owners of the business decide whether they would pay out of pocket or file with insurance. This was upsetting because I work in a very high-stress field that does not provide a lot of free time. Never the less, I complied with the manager's wishes and got multiple quotes (it took me 12 days to find time to take off work to do this). I had both quotes, as requested on 3/23/17. After the second estimate was given, I was given the run around for nearly two weeks. I still wasn't 100% sure if the owners would pay cash or run it through their insurance even though the manager hinted it would be going through insurance. I was starting to get frustrated. It was not until 4/4/17 that I was contacted by the wash's insurance company. The insurance company had no problem whatsoever allowing me to use my body shop and paid me the same day the adjuster came to assess the damage (4/5/17). He said there was no reason for me to have gone to a body shop, his job is to wherever convenient for me (he met me in my office parking lot) and he assesses the damage on the spot. This is where I became livid! It ends up, the body shop's quote was 10% higher than that of the wash's recommended body shop. The damage amounted to just over $3,700. So, after almost one full month, multiple phone calls, two requests to take extra time away from work and a lot of overall frustration, I ended up getting the exact same result I would have gotten had the manager & owners of the wash let me do what I had asked to do on 3/13/17. As for the actual car wash, like I said before, I have generally been pretty happy with the end result. I know accidents happen. However, after inspecting the faulty machine that damaged my car, I noticed the beam that harnessed the heavy squeegee ropes at the end of the wash were attached to a support rod with two very small steel cable ties (my guess is the tensile strength for each is somewhere around 100 -150lbs). It was only a matter of time before they busted. My luck....they busted on me. The manager said he was not happy with the mechanic who was just in a few weeks before to fix the machines. I began to recollect on all the times over the years I had swung by to get my car washed but the place was closed for maintenance. It was quite a bit. So, keep this in mind if you plan to get your car washed here. They will right their wrongs, it just might take a little longer than expected. The manager himself has always been friendly and I wish no ill will against any employee. I just felt it was important to share this. read more

I had always wondered why that spot under the tree was always open for parking, Especially, when it's so close to our building. .... Well, I found out! After parking there I didn't even recognize my car. The once silver beauty was cover in red berry bird poop from top to bottom, even on the sides. I tried to get some off to see though the windshield and it seemed I would need a chisel!! My lovely husband woke up early to take my car to this car wash the moment it opened bc he had read all the great reviews. The guy kinda made a joke when we drove up but he wasn't fazed at all. We opted for highest level wash called "the best wash". He powered washed it before it went in the actual wash and when he was finished he even said if it needed to go through a second time we could do it free of charge! They even detailed the tires! I couldn't be happier with the results! I got to see my silver beauty again!! good as new! Looking back I only regret one thing,I wish i had taken a before and after picture to show you the miracle that came out of this car wash! Whoever the young man working on 9/1/18 about 15 minutes before closing time was... he went above and beyond the call duty. I asked him if he was confident that the wash would get all the bird excrement off my car (it was an embarrassing amount). He told me if he didn't get it off the first time, I could come back through for free. Well, I didn't have to because he spent about 10-15 minutes scrubbing and spraying every little bit off. Car looked great afterwards. I also like their loyalty program and the free wash the next day if it rains within 24 hours of your wash. read more

big fail today!! my gf & i took our cars there. wash was good as always! during our vacuuming, that's where the problems began. i tried 2 vacuums but both of them were broken. the first one i tried kept my token, but the attendant was as nice as usual & refunded my token plus gave me a 2nd one. i then drove to another vacuum station. that one was broken, but i was able to retrieve my token. so i gave up on the vacuuming & decided to help my gf. as soon as i got to her car, the nozzle on her hose popped of & we were not able to get it to stay on. i'm wondering if this place will now continue to let all the vacuuming stations slide into disrepair. this place is 2 blocks from my house & very handy! read more

My car has been pretty dirty because of birds and the insane weather.. downpours, dust storms etc... I tried this place out because it was close. The attendant was nice and interested mostly in his work. I paid for the 'best' car wash. He gave me some tokens for free uses ayvthe vacuum. Also a punch ticket for a free wash once I go eight times and my receipt. He then sprayed my car with armorall stuff..and also sprayed my wheel off pretty well. The car wash is much long than others. It's self propelled so you just need to put your car in neutral and let it do its work. The vacuum hoses are pretty long and work well. They have clips for your floor mats, so you can clean them more easily. They have a vending machine for car cleaning accessories, like scents you can hang, wipes for your dash/glass/wheels/tires. read more

They advertise unlimited tokens for vacuum with the most expensive wash ,then dole them out one at a time I kept having to go back in and ask for more- finally fed up and asked about the advertisement. Guy told me if i didn't like it ,not to come back. I asked for the owner's number and he refused to give it to me. DO NOT recommend - I have been using this car wash for around 2 months, even went so far as to get a monthly subscription for their "best wash". After running through today, I noticed the lower front end of my car was entirely scuffed, with chunks of clear coat missing. My car is relatively brand new and when I saw this, my heart sank. I should have paid listened to my gut when I tried to get my car washed last week, but they were clearly closed for maintenance. If you want to keep your car in great shape, find a wash that doesn't damage it first. Needless to say I'm canceling my subscription tomorrow. read more

Went there today Drew guided me in . The metal rail snagged the bottom trim on my car broke it. I said that a refund won't fix my car and was told I needed to back out. I was then told that he didn't know my car wasn't already broken and asked if I check under it every day. I was also told backing out made it worse after he told me to back up. The guy here is super nice and friendly. The place is open no matter how cold it is which is great. I did pay $16 for the "Best Wash" and still had spots on the back of my car as well as on the sides. I don't feel that I got what I paid for. The cheapest car wash they have is $10. It would be nice to have a $7 economy wash. It would also be nice if they hand dried your car after "The Best" wash. This would ensure that there are no spots. read more
