I had been coming to the car wash for a while and was generally happy with the end result. On my most recent trip though (03/11/17), there was an accident. One of the support beams near the end of the wash cycle collapsed and damaged my car significantly. I conversed with the manager of the car wash a few days after the incident (3/13/17) and was told the owners of the business would likely pay cash to fix my car. I was happy with this because I did not want to run the risk of having this accident, which was in no way a fault of my own, show up with a reporting agency at a later date. The manager told me I would have to go to a body shop the wash dealt with exclusively to get an estimate. I was uncomfortable doing this and let the manager know that. My family and I have worked with a very reputable body shop for over 30 years and I wanted my car to be repaired by them. The manager told me I would have to get multiple quotes in order to have the owners of the business decide whether they would pay out of pocket or file with insurance. This was upsetting because I work in a very high-stress field that does not provide a lot of free time. Never the less, I complied with the manager's wishes and got multiple quotes (it took me 12 days to find time to take off work to do this). I had both quotes, as requested on 3/23/17. After the second estimate was given, I was given the run around for nearly two weeks. I still wasn't 100% sure if the owners would pay cash or run it through their insurance even though the manager hinted it would be going through insurance. I was starting to get frustrated. It was not until 4/4/17 that I was contacted by the wash's insurance company. The insurance company had no problem whatsoever allowing me to use my body shop and paid me the same day the adjuster came to assess the damage (4/5/17). He said there was no reason for me to have gone to a body shop, his job is to wherever convenient for me (he met me in my office parking lot) and he assesses the damage on the spot. This is where I became livid! It ends up, the body shop's quote was 10% higher than that of the wash's recommended body shop. The damage amounted to just over $3,700. So, after almost one full month, multiple phone calls, two requests to take extra time away from work and a lot of overall frustration, I ended up getting the exact same result I would have gotten had the manager & owners of the wash let me do what I had asked to do on 3/13/17. As for the actual car wash, like I said before, I have generally been pretty happy with the end result. I know accidents happen. However, after inspecting the faulty machine that damaged my car, I noticed the beam that harnessed the heavy squeegee ropes at the end of the wash were attached to a support rod with two very small steel cable ties (my guess is the tensile strength for each is somewhere around 100 -150lbs). It was only a matter of time before they busted. My luck....they busted on me. The manager said he was not happy with the mechanic who was just in a few weeks before to fix the machines. I began to recollect on all the times over the years I had swung by to get my car washed but the place was closed for maintenance. It was quite a bit. So, keep this in mind if you plan to get your car washed here. They will right their wrongs, it just might take a little longer than expected. The manager himself has always been friendly and I wish no ill will against any employee. I just felt it was important to share this.

This car was covered in sticky seeds that fell from the trees. This is AMAZING!!!

Best Car wash ever... Seriously these guys went above & beyond. My car was covered with these sticky balls that fell off the trees and they painstakingly scrubbed everyone off. I will always come back here!!!

Good wash. Pricey but considering location it's not overwhelming. Odd the vacuums are before the wash

Thomas Car Wash was recently sold to new owners, and I hope that they continue the great service…read moreand washes that Thomas has become known for. I visited again recently. Pretty much anytime I'm on Hurstbourne and have some time, I stop to get my car washed here. I always choose the mid-tier wash for $15, which gets my car clean and shiny. On top of the great wash and the clerks who will power wash the front of your car before you enter -- just to make sure all the bugs and bits are off -- I also appreciate the fact that Thomas has free vacuums for interior cleaning. These have always worked great. You can also powerwash your floor mats. Thomas has those little extra bits that make an experience stand out. Please don't lose those! And I and others will keep coming back.

Update: I received a call a day after submitting my claim and spoke with a very nice man who went…read moreover my claim to get me on the right track. After that call, I took my car to their offered appraisal and currently waiting for a call back. We used to use Thomas car wash a lot as I saw the value they had for washing cars and good pricing. Their prices have gone up, just as everything else has in the past two years. Unfortunately, I lost my car's antenna cover while at the car wash but didn't realize it right away( kids in the car). I was unable to get back to the car wash on the day it happened so I called multiple days only to leave multiple voicemails and never received any response. It was just an antenna cover, not the end of the world. So I finally was able to stop by the car wash to speak with someone only to have them say they had none. And they mentioned to submit my claim online and (hopefully) someone would speak with me. I doubt anyone will reach out, as it's past their 72 hours of mark. I'll keep y'all posted on any feedback from Thomas Car Wash!

The…read morecar would come out with big streaks on it, still didnt look 100% clean, and the vacuums would take forever because they had pretty light suction. Enter Mike's. I had just finished up some errands early the other day and thought well heck I might as well wash the old beast while I have the time. I got the basic wash and WOW it was fantastic. The people working were super nice, the wash was amazing - its fascinating how well things get clean when you use an appropriate amount of water and soap - and the process went super quick. My only gripe was that they charge for the vacuums, you get 8 minutes for $2? That seems high. But they worked great, so much so that I ended up leaving 30 seconds on the timer because it went that fast. So I guess I have a new car wash? Thanks Mikes! (also to the one reviewer who said they put a sticker on your car? I didnt experience that, all they did was write a number on the windshield with some kind of grease pen which washed right off)

After a 26-hour round-trip roadtrip plus a tree by my parking pad that likes to drop sap on my car,…read morethe Subaru Outback was in need of a good wash. Mike's was the closest, and it did the trick. The car wash is what you would expect, with different levels of washes and a monthly membership for unlimited washes. I went with the mid-tier option. I was able to get right in and then go to the vacuums to finish the job. One thing I noticed, though, that was different from other washes: You have to pay to use the vacuums, a couple dollars for five or so minutes. This wasn't too expensive but I missed the free vacuuming -- not due to the price but because it helped to be able to use two vacuums to better reach each side of the car and trunk. But I would definitely come here again.
