I have called BFF on three seperate occasions in the past year and after not receiving a return call promised in the voicemail response, I stopped trying and ceased using this service. That was in the months between July 2023 and November 2023. I then started using another service provider out of town. Even though this was an inconvenience, it was worth it because this service was excellent and the staff was very professional and ethical. Well I got into a pinch and I decided to give BFF another chance. Well I tried calling this morning and the phone went to voicemail with a promise of a return call. Well, that call never came after 6 hours. I called again at that time and again the voicemail. I never received a return call. I am very disappointed because this is a fall from the service I received when they were first opened. read more

We went out of town to visit a state park for a couple of days and rent a shelter that didn't allow pets in the building. We had never had our dog boarded before and my wife seemed a bit concerned so she came here and the receptionist was very nice and calming to her. We ended up boarding our dog here. The current rate here is 30 a night. We had a great experience here and bouncy seemed very happy to see us but appeared to have enjoyed her stay there. They offer dog day care and training but we just tried the boarding. When you pick up if you come after 1pm then currently there is a 19 dollar charge for boarding for late checkout. We had a great experience and will use them again. Just wish they did board cats as well. Everyone on staff were very polite and very service oriented. read more

Alexander the Great Dane "Xander" loves it here they treat him like a king. I use Best Fido friend for grooming as well as boarding. He is intact so he doesn't play with the other dogs when he is being boarded which I totally understand. They make sure to give him extra time and attention. Sending me photos while I'm away just proves they go above and beyond. Even allowing my best friend to visit. They're always super friendly And understanding of his needs such as a raised food bowl and a Mama whom is a bit extra They also do an Amazing job on the grooming Xander smells and shines so bright. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! This is a first class facility! The staff is very knowledgeable and caring. Each Pack Leader must complete a lengthy certification course and there is more than sufficient staff to look after all of the fur babies. The boarding facility is roomy, clean and comfortable with an option for private themed "suites" complete with cot and Dog TV. Classical music is played in the boarding kennels at night for relaxation. Miss Hope Jones has boarded many times and we can attest that the babies are very well cared for in our absence. Kevin is the groomer on staff and he does an amazing job! He is very attentive with great attention to detail! BFF keeps a social calendar of events and special treat days, each month. They are super creative and put a TON of hard work into everything they do. You can plan to have a fun little event for Howelloween, Puppybowl, Santapaws, birthdays and a lot more! This year they even threw a "puppy prom"!! They are also very generous and incorporate drives for fur baby related charities to contribute locally, which says a lot about the wonderful people who own the business! A lot of effort is made to post pictures throughout the day in the play yard so we can see just how much our babies enjoy their time. We will never go anywhere else for daycare, boarding and grooming. I can't possibly recommend them all enough! We have been playing there since their opening. We our BFF Family!! read more

I normally board my dog in Temple (since that's where I live), but the usual place was booked so I tried BFF since a friend of mine recommended it. The facility was clean, everybody was friendly, and was thorough when asking about diet (he has allergies), and his personality. It was his first stay so they had a temperament test, which went well and we got to see him interact with other dogs that would also be staying while he was there. He stayed for 4 days and when we went to pick him up all of his stuff was ready to go, I paid, and exited smoothly. In his bag they put a little goodie bag with a picture of him on his first day. It was absolutely adorable! I definitely will be using BFF from now on Update: Vader has now stayed about 10 times now, still the absolute best care for your pup! These people are the worst groomers in Waco. The first time we called we were told it would be a week wait (which was fine with us) but the gentleman actually said if you want any sooner you should go to Petsmart. When we said we would take the time he offered, he said OK but you could still go to Petsmart if you want it any quicker. This was odd. When we finally bought our two dogs, we were told that their ears had too many hair knots/mats and that they could not perform the service. Now our dogs have long ears and this is why we get them groomed. At this point the gentleman said it might be better to take them to a veterinarian grooming service. He refused to take them in saying he couldn't do anything but shave off all their ears. We went straight to Petsmart and they did a great job on the dogs and didn't say anything was wrong with their ears. I don't think this establishment knows how to groom dogs, I think they are uncertain of their abilities, and I would recommend everyone stay very far away! read more

My family and I were visiting Waco for the day coming from Galveston. Not wanting to leave my dog at home all day I found this daycare. Based on their google reviews it seemed to be an awesome place. I dropped my dog Kona off around 10:30/11am and told them I packed her treats, some food, her bed, toys, etc. the lady asked when she should be fed, informed me they normally do feedings around 5pm and I said that was perfect since she already ate breakfast. I called around 130pm to see if my dog was doing okay and if everything was alright, the lady who answered acted annoyed/weirded out I was calling and said " yes um she's fine" When I picked my dog up it was about 6pm- she was SO happy to leave, which was weird..? She usually never wants to leave her daycares- I asked the girl at the front desk how everything was, she said let me check, then informed me a trainer would be out to assist me. 5-10 min later a trainer came out and he couldn't tell me as he didn't work that shift; so he went to find someone else. Finally the same guy came back around 10 min later and asked if I had a progress note that was suppose to be sent home with her. Told him I did not receive one, he found that weird and went searching for it. Couldn't find it, so he explained to me that the workers tried to introduce her to two passive male dogs and she was snarling, then introduced her to a female passive dog, my dog was still snarling so they didn't let her play. I was shocked by this, and asked if he could send me her performance sheet/notes, he asked if I had gotten any emails from BFF I stated no..? At this point the receptionist chimed in and said she would take my email so they could double check and send me one. Again, she seemed annoyed.. whatever. I go out to the car and my dog is whining and thirsty beyond belief. She drank 3 bowls of water and we didn't even leave the parking lot. 10 min into our drive home my dog was acting very uncomfortable, whining and could not sit still. So we stopped to see if she had to go to the bathroom, nope... to my surprise they did not give her one treat I packed, nor fed her. I was taken back, I thought this place was legit. It states trainers were on deck working with dogs throughout the day, yet not one "trainer" is knowledgeable of knowing dogs cannot meet on leash...? My dog was not fed, was not given any treats (I only backed her 4 salmon biscuits) I just can't really wrap my head around it. When I called, why didn't they tell me she wasn't fine? That she wasn't comfortable with the other dogs? Why didn't they tell me she had to sit in a dog run alone all day? I would've gladly picked her up... ? So, 3 days later I take my pup to a daycare in my town- who is actually KNOWLEDGEABLE, works with dogs and knows how to introduce dogs to one another. My dog had the time of her life. Thank you dogs at dolphin view! You're work is amazing. Will never EVER be back to Best Fido friends in Waco, TX. We were extremely excited to have our dog attend after reading reviews, but unfortunately he was dismissed from the center. I don't believe Ramsey was ever truly a favorite in the center, he was rarely posted on Facebook posts, never picked to be "Dog of The Week", nor was he recognized on his birthday after letting staff know his bday was also the day he was adopted as a rescue. The facility is clean & they offer grooming, but after many inquires for service, we were declined due to the groomer was always booked. Ramsey was enrolled for around 9 months & truly sadden he was terminated. Had he been a more favored dog by staff, I strongly believe he'd never have "behavior" issues. Dogs sense & know when things are wrong. It is probably best for all parties, but just wish the favoritism wasn't so blatantly obvious. read more

This place is GREAT in so many ways. I was traveling across the country and I wanted to visit the town of Waco. I called ahead and Justin was very nice on the phone. I brought Shug in and the place was very clean. I was taken on a tour of the facility and the place was clean throughout and didn't have a strong odor like most that I have frequented. I was thoroughly impressed with this facility. They posted pics on Facebook (which I'm not on) and sent them to me. I rec'd friendly emails and I even got one wishing Shug a Happy Birthday when he turned 1. They are truly the BEST I have experienced and I've tried many. They seemed really engaged with my pup while he was there. They gave me a full report on what he did throughout the day and the pictures they took showed just how good a time he had. I picked Shug up later in the day and he was asleep before we left the parking lot! Score!! I HIGHLY recommend this great staff and their wonderful facility. read more

This is a great facility for doggy daycare! I haven't used their boarding services yet, but would if the need arises. I have used grooming and it was great as well. My dog is super excited every time she sees the building; it's like when you take your kid to Six Flags when we pull up! They always let me bring her in at last minute requests and everyone there is very friendly! I was able to get my dogs in quickly for grooming services and I was thoroughly impressed with what I saw from the staff. The groomer was very nice and answered any questions I had. My pup absolutely loves going to doggie daycare at BFF. She can't get in the door fast enough, and gets even more excited when she sees one of the friendly staff that take care of her. Likewise, I am just as pleased to entrust my precious dog (3 year-old mix) to the very professional, knowledgeable, and kind people that own & work at BFF. I have also boarded her multiple times here when we go on family vacations (they give me regular updates and post pictures on FB for me, as well), and have her regularly groomed here. I am consistently pleased with their services. Furthermore, it's clear that the owner, as well as staff, are knowledgeable about canine behavior and such, which I truly appreciate and believe is very important, particularly when multiple dogs are gathered together. The facility is exceptional, as well. There are indoor areas for the dogs to play, as well as kennels (and 'suites') for the boarded dogs or the ones that need a break. The outdoor area is an awesome dog playground, including things such as a tube, and a 'rooftop' the dogs can climb and go under, a playhouse, etc. The ground is covered with some sort of turf, so the dogs don't get too dirty. There are multiple kid pools that they keep filled for the dogs to stay cool (especially on really hot days), as well as a misting system running along the edge of the roof, and plenty of shaded areas. Finally, BFF has a calendar each month showing their special events (for example, a Christmas party and the Puppy Bowl Party) and special days (for example, Tasty Treat Tuesday or Frozen Kong Day), which keeps things exciting and fun.
