My experience with Best Jet Skis was mostly positive. The owner was friendly, professional, and genuinely seems like a good dude. The staff was courteous, though one came off a little more direct and business-like, which I get. I'm writing this to help future renters understand the responsibilities and financial risks that come with renting jet skis. I strongly suggest watching the safety video before finalizing the rental. It made me realize how much responsibility is involved. We originally rented four jet skis, arrived late, and the owner offered to let us return two for a 50 percent refund. If we'd arrived on time, it would have been a full refund. We appreciated that offer, but decided to keep all four. Looking back, that wasn't the best choice. Only three people were riding and the jet skis mostly just sat. I spent most of my time watching the unused units. The part that caught me off guard was the damage costs. One unit had a flooded engine and we were told the charge could be around 1,600 dollars, later reduced to 800 dollars if paid in cash. Another unit had cosmetic damage and we were charged about 970 dollars. Those costs were on top of what we paid for the rental. I'm still working with the company on miscommunication around additional charges. If that's resolved, I'll update again. My biggest advice is to make sure everyone in your group actually intends to ride and understands they're responsible for the unit they're using. If something gets damaged, the renter can end up paying out of pocket and it can get uncomfortable if everyone starts pointing fingers. I'm not writing this to discourage anyone from renting here. The people were respectful. I just want to share my experience so others know what to expect, read the contract, understand the risks before signing, and make sure everyone in your group is prepared to be responsible for the equipment they're using. It was hard to find this place to review it because on their card it says watercraft rentals but on here it says Best jetz!! ANYWAYS Hedris is a very nice business owner. Makes you feel welcomed. I was excited to try and rent my first jet ski and I was scared of the prices but for a full day I thought $299 wasn't bad!! It comes with 2 life vests. You get to ride up til 5pm so come early. You are also taught how to ride them and how to take care of them. The jet ski went pretty fast and I actually got another vest to have 3 riders. Hedris was nice enough to just give me a vest because of other troublesome problems. (The problems were me ruining one of his jet skis and he still let me get another one paying for the damages of course but I was shocked he trusts me) His entire team is actually nice to talk to you through any questions. They get the jet ski into the water and everything for you. If you have any problems with the jet ski I know they will change it for you because they helped me with mine. THE WROST EXPERIENCE EVER It was my family's 1st time ever visiting laughlin and me and my little siblings had really wanted to go on a jet ski and we had finally convinced our mom. I'd like to start off by saying I'm unsure if this is the location I'm referring to but I'm 90% sure it is. We called this yelp page regarding our questions and although the address was a bit off from the yelp's site, the business referred to themselves as this page. Renting our skis were smooth. When we returned them, that's when things went HAYWIRE. This is located inside Camp Davis? We returned our jet skis and eat INCH of damage cost us hundreds of dollars. We ended up having 11-12 inches of damages and paid $1,200 additional from our pockets. I'm not angry about this. This was my group's fault. I'm LIVID because of this MAJOR MISTAKE THEY MADE: They claimed and threatened our friend to pay $10,000!!!! They said that their borrowed jet ski was taken away, impounded and that we needed to pay the impound fee!! We repeatedly told them that they were WRONG and to relook into this but they didn't. They threatened to call the cops, held us there and kept putting the blame on us. $10,000. Imagine how much STRESS we were in. Only to find out, an hour later, THAT THEY WERE THE ONES THAT MADE A MISTAKE!! Turns out, THEY WERE wrong. The jetski we borrowed from them was actually in their OTHER LOT!!!! Great experience on Laughlin River for Mother's Day... Renting the jet ski's made it that much funner. OB was the name of the rep that helped us with our rental and worked with us the best he could for pricing and was very helpful and friendly... Had no issues with the rentals at all. They do require a $200 credit deposit incase of any issues which is refunded back within a few days (so be prepared with available credit)... The only down falls from our experience would be we felt the rental fees were very pricey from other places we have rented from we also had to pay for full tank at the end even if we did not use it all. That was an additional $30 per jet ski (we rented 2). (For 2 jet ski's ALL DAY was $517.50 not including filling tanks st the end PLUS the refundable $200 deposit) Not sure if pricing varies due to holiday/Mother's day weekend. Another heads up... We found it quite difficult to dock the jet ski's when we wanted to take a break due to the wind and current from the dam. (so just be careful where you choose to dock because the last thing you want is to damage the jet ski's by getting rocks stuck in the engine. (That would cost you a ton)... Overall great experience, only reason I gave a 4 star was due to high pricing... If money isn't and issue I highly recommend this place for your rental needs... The shop even sells water shoes and inflatables for the river which is nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for you to get the rentals as early as possible to get your full day worth of what you pay. Beware....they are SCAMMERS. So so so disappointed with this place. I've been a loyal customer for many many years (approx. 10-12 years) until 7/24/23. My family rented 2 jet ski's from them and 30 minutes in, one of by them started beeping and and a red warning light came one with a capital F (I thought fuel, right). I quickly turned back to shore and called the place. A gentleman answered and I explained what happened and he said he'd meet me at the docking station. He looked at it and added more gas to the jet ski and sent us on our way. Here's the issue...he assured us it had a full tank (along with taking pictures) before it hit the water; I trusted him because they never done me wrong in the past. Fast forward, when we returned it the guy says that he's going to charge $47 for gas, WTF!!!!! He said it was full at the very beginning and I only had it 30 min. There's no way I could run out of a full tank of gas in 30 min. I was definitely SCAMMED - SCAMMED - SCAMMED!!! And there was definitely a $47 charge on my credit card. In addition, I asked for the rear stepper and he assured me both of them had it....NOPE!!! They straight out lied. Upon arrival Saturday 10AM, was greeted at the Davis Camp gate. My name was immediately on the list. Made me feel VIP . After check-in, educational video and life vests, we launched the jet ski. Best Jetz has had the best prices of any place I've ever rented a personal watercraft from (Mon-Thurs $189 all day special) and they also take the most care in explaining rules and proper usage of their watercrafts than any other place I've ever rented from. The owners are a very kind and patient couple (I even received free water bottles for my son and I when I asked, because I accidentally left our cooler back at the hotel). I do recommend them if you are in the area, BUT I also have to recommend that if you are new to using these types of vehicles OR a fan of using these types of vehicles, that maybe this body of water isn't for you. Narrow body of water-it crowds very easily. Very shallow. And not a ton of spots to stop and enjoy playing around in the water. (Strong currents too for weak swimmers). read more

Told the worker there was no way it was full when we received it, last year we used it for more than 5+ hours and had no issues with gas, mind you there was another guest who rented their skis almost an 1 1/2 before we did and they wee on the lake still! They actually didn't turn theirs in until about 2 hours after we did and they had two people riding on them the whole day. I'll never give this company my business again. I will never recommend this place or used this location ever again. I have been going to this camp for several years and this is probably the 3rd time since the change owner ship And the new owner specially the younger one with the start tattoo he will take advantage of you if you not putting attention to transaction.
