Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to rent from Riverstar. I made a reservation with them before coming out to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. However, I accidentally went to another rental shop and thought my reservation was there. That rental shop did not tell me my reservation wasn't on their books and so I ended up renting from them, not knowing that I made a reservation with a different company (Riverstar) I ended up having a missed call from an unknown number at 12 and I called it back at 5 only to realize it was Riverstar rentals asking where I was with my reservation and why I didn't show up to get me jet skis. At that moment, I had realized I didn't have a reservation for the skis I picked up. When speaking with the owner (I forget his name) I could tell he was bummed as he held the skis all day waiting for me when they easily could have gone to someone else. Instead of complaining and getting upset with me, he asked if I had fun, was understanding about it and handled it very professionally. I am looking forward to using River Star rentals next time I visit. It's not always about how company's handle things that go right, but how they handle them when they go wrong. read more

Highly recommend renting from here! Their wave runners were a great price and both of the men working were extremely kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the river. They gave good suggestions on where to be on the water to help keep our family safe on a busy Saturday and helped us enjoy our day on the water! I also really appreciated that the price they quoted was the actual price. Wow the experience me and my family had was one that we will never forget. There service was amazing. They have a parking lot and access to a private commercial launch. The skis were solid and have all the features you would want. The price was very very solid for a Saturday and the fuel price was amazing they don't try to nickel and dime you a small pebble was in our impeller they pulled the grate it fell out and there was no damage. I was worried this was gonna be one of those scam tactics the other companies out here do but I was totally wrong they showed us step by step and sure enough we weren't charged because everything was fine. I seen the pebble that came out with my eyes so he was 100% right. A very honest and customer centric business. They deserve their high rating on Yelp. They helped us two weeks before the rental of the jet ski when we dropped by their small shop. No jet ski on display and they'd be easy to miss but you should stop here and rent! After explaining the process to us, we came back two weeks later - once the family got its schedule together - and had a great time. Lots of attention to details, very safety minded , and very patient with us noobies. Even tho we'd missed the detail of reserving in advance, we got to the shop and learned the very last ski had been brought back in for repair. Tech whiz Shane was able to get it fixed and we were able to rent it for 4 hours. We like their pricing options: 2 hour, 4 hour, & all day. Other shops are not as accommodating. Would not consider any other jet ski rental place except for River Star Rentals. I've been coming for the past 9 yrs as shown in my pictures from then to current, my son is now 18yrs old. Rob & James are so informative and especially they stress safety on the jet ski as well as on the river. They drop you off at the river if you need to put more gas you just give them a quick call you meet them back at the same spot they fill your tank. My fiancé Zach and I had the most amazing experience renting with River Star. Not only do they have the best prices for jet ski rentals, but their customer service is top-notch and all pricing is upfront. We called on Tuesday to see about renting 2 jet skis for the next day and they had availability. We were able to make a reservation and place a deposit over the phone with Rob which was very convenient. We showed up the next day and met with Rob who was not only very knowledgable on being safe in the river but also just a great and funny guy. He made us feel right at home and like we didn't have to worry about anything going wrong. We were able to leave our car in their parking lot and James drove us the short distance across the street to the river and helped us get out on the water. This company truly cares for their customers and we had so much fun out there we decided to rent again the next day. When you're done for the day all you do is call them and they're there before you can even get your ski to the dock. They were super accommodating to us. Shopped around for 2 jet ski's for 4th of July weekend and the prices were through the roof everywhere else! For what another place was charging per hour, I got at River Star Rentals for one whole day! I even got a sweeter deal for hauling them myself. Just got off the phone with a very unpleasant man when calling for info about renting for 8 people, the employee seem to be giving me a customer lecture more so than customer service. At one point he told me if one of my friends didn't have a credit to use since some may use debit cards for a holding fee than "I probably don't want to rent to you." I've rented from rob in the past 4-5 years in a row. Up to 5-6 jetskis at a time with a large group. He's honest and explains everything to keep everyone safe. No hidden fees. We had slight damage on one some fiberglass he fixes himself so charged us $150 which wasn't bad at all. Small accident. Yelpers, there's a reason why River Star Rentals has five stars and comes up first, and that's because they do a phenomenal job with customer service. Not only that, but there are some pretty awesome people behind this business who will really make the BEST of your rental/jetski/Laughlin/Bullhead City experience. They stay true to their business by ensuring safety and by being absolutely honest with you. Pricing is fair, and in my opinion, a great deal. My friend and I scoped out places, but we sure are glad we went here. Riding a jet ski along the borderline of two states is already a guaranteed awesome time that it makes you wonder, how can it get any better than that? Well, it can get even better! When we returned to the shop, we were offered ice cold beers and homemade cookies - that were bomb dot com! After two and a half solid hours out in the July heat, that was just what we needed. But it didn't stop there... To dodge the intense sun for a bit, we stayed in the cozy shop, and were fortunate enough to get to hang out with Rob, Shane, and Zach. The vibe of the crew and the shop is very easy going. I loved the nautical decor and beach signs that reminded me of my days in so cal. Oh, there's a dog who likes to play tug of war too! In other words, it was good times with good company. But the day is not over yet! Since we were one of the last clients of the day, the crew offered to let us join them in their daily boat ride on the river. THIS WAS AWESOME! Full speed up and down the Colorado River as the sun went down just was the icing on the cake. River adventures and new friends - let's just say it was a post 4th-of-July well spent. Thank you! They took really great care of my daughter and I when we rented jet skis last week. They have the best sense of humor and it was awesome talking to them.
