However, I could see through the small gap between the open hood and the top of my dashboard that they were putting a plastic hose down my dipstick tube. I said, "Wait, what are you doing? Are you sucking the oil out through the dipstick tube?" He said "Yes." I said, "No, I want you to remove the drain plug and do it properly". He replied, "We can't do that. It's our policy". I said, "Well, don't do it then and I'll just change it myself". He pulled the hose out of the dipstick tube, shut my hood, and said I was free to go. I left and started driving north on US-1 toward Fort Pierce. As I was driving, the low oil pressure light started to come on and off intermittently. I immediately knew the car was dangerously low on oil. I immediately pulled into Express Car Care near Edwards Rd by the railroad tracks and told him my story. When he drained my oil, he said only a HALF-QUART of oil came out! Valvoline Instant Oil Change SUCKED THE OIL OUT OF MY CAR AND LET ME DRIVE OFF. I went back to Valvoline Instant Oil Change when my oil change was completed at Express Car Care and asked them why they sucked the oil out of my car and let me leave. Of course they denied it. The technician eventually admitted that the machine was only on "for a minute". Apparently that's all it takes to remove the oil from a small engine that only holds 3.5 quarts. I called corporate headquarters and spoke with the area manager, who staunchly denied any wrongdoing and would not accept any responsibility. They denied removing any oil from the vehicle whatsoever. I maintain my vehicles diligently and know precisely how much oil I had before I arrived. I just checked it THAT MORNING. The facts are: (1) Oil level and oil pressure was FINE BEFORE ARRIVAL, regardless of what management claims to save face.. (2) They inserted a vacuum oil removal machine into the dipstick tube (3) I had low oil pressure warning upon departure. (4) Other mechanic found engine only had a half quart of oil and documented it. This is blatant incompetence and I want acknowledgement from them that if my vehicle develops any significant internal engine problems, that they are responsible but they refused. My vehicle only has 28,001 miles on it. I would recommend to never come here under any circumstances.

They left our BMW with the windows or sunroof open and it rained causing water damage to our interior leather and carpet over an entire weekend, getting 1 to 2 inch of water but they said they were not responsible for that. Also, we found that they closed the engine hood over tools and parts bending hood. We also were told we still had to pay for an estimate even though we did not have an accurate estimate and there was nobody with mechanical experience to go over the diagnostics. Lady in the front was not helpful, very rude, unprofessional And not welcoming at all. I would never take a car to them again. So beware stay away from that business. on top of that, the said all calipers were locked up and needed to be replaced. Once getting a second estimate, turns out nothing needed to be replaced only rotors and pads! They quoted us for a repair of over $6000. With a different honest business we only spent $1500.

This engine has been exceptional, with only regular maintenance required. It had begun to die while I was driving it a couple of months ago, and had become progressively worse. After a sensor replacement by my trusted mechanic was to no avail I had the jeep, now unreliable for the first time in 28 years, having died four times in the last mile I drove it, dying again as I pulled into my driveway, towed to AMO because of the stellar reviews they have received here on Yelp, in what turned out to be the right move. What may seem an inordinate amount of time for a diagnosis, and I certainly thought it was, until I learned from Josh, that the diagnostician, I assume Adam, had been out sick, believe that or not, and I do...Adam solved the issue when he returned. It was NOT an easy diagnosis...I had taken it to my regular mechanic, twice, they could not determine the cause. I do admit that I became frustrated with the amount of time it was taking for AMO to diagnose, it is my only ride, and I told a very polite woman that answered the phone just that. I received a call back shortly from Josh explaining the situation. The eventual diagnosis? The ECM, the engine's brain, was faulty and needed replacing...and the part was expensive. I approved the repair and my old Jeep was up and running...ready to go on 2/7...back to its old self. Okay, here is my assessment, simply, these guys are great! Once they were able to look at it, it was diagnosed and repaired in short order. The difference between the price Josh had quoted me and what they charged was about 500 bucks! Oh yeah, it was in my favor!! WHO DOES THAT? They gave me a price, I approved it, and the invoice was $500 cheaper. Did I say these guys are great?! My dad bought this new in 1997, he died in 2005, and I have been driving it ever since. Now 70, this by far the best vehicle I have owned, she's not much to look at, and some features don't work, but she starts and runs beautifully. At age 30 she qualifies for "Antique" plates in Florida, thanks to AMO, I have no doubts she will now make it! If you read this far, take your vehicle to AMO now, you will not be disappointed!

He goes that extra mile to make the repair reasonable and does not over charge. I have had several occasions where one of my vehicles has required parts that just going to dealerships would have been very expensive, but Frank took the time and effort to locate the part at a dealership, maybe not in this area, but within a days delivery that brought the cost down sometimes 50%.
