Throughout our 18 month long engagement I thought about so many details big and small and truthfully didn't think that I wanted a videographer. I had a wonderful photographer hired and I didn't feel the need to capture our wedding any other way; that was of course until about a week before the wedding. Working with Reid at Best Made Video's was one of the best decisions we made! We are so thankful we have a video of this amazing day in our lives. Reid did an incredible job on our wedding videography. He was the most flexible, down-to-earth videographer we talked to when we were in the planning phase (and we talked to several!). It was so refreshing to have a real person who could actually craft a custom package to fit our unique scenario, rather than all the other videographers who had a sort of one-size-fits-all mindset. Reid was very professional in his communications and organization, and his attention to detail really put my mind at ease with the process. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, he was always proactive with detail planning and quick to respond to any questions or feedback that I had--and honestly, he was probably more on top of things than I was. On the day of the wedding, Reid and his assistant both looked sharp and fit right in and stayed totally cool and collected even in the midst of pre-wedding organized chaos. Best Made Videos does fantastic work. My wife and I have no regrets about getting videography for our wedding, and we're both extremely happy with went with Best Made Videos. Videography is great not only to relive the moments when you were there, but also to see what happened when you were out of the room. First, Reid is incredibly responsive. I'm not sure when he sleeps, but he always responds to messages in a timely manner. He answers your questions, and responds to your concerns. He never dropped communication with us. Second, Reid and his assistant were fantastic throughout the wedding day. They were always there if you looked for them, but they were never in the way. And yet, going back through the footage, they got everything. The video work and the sound quality are great. We've got speeches, shots of the guests, even the father of the bridge getting his groove on (while the bride and I were away taking pictures). So now we come to value. Everyone knows if you're willing to pay, you can get the best. But value is what really drew us to BMV, because we didn't have a blank check for all the expenses. When you look at the Best Made Videos site, you don't see the cheapest videography out there. But Reid gives you everything you're going to want, up front. Look at the others and they want extra for speeches, extra for the ceremony, extra for time, etc. With Best Made Videos, we got speeches, ceremony, and our entire reception covered. I volunteer for Kiwanis Camp Casey, an annual summer camp for children with physical disabilities. Every year in November we hold a fundraising gala which is our biggest fundraiser of the year and raises nearly all of the money that we need to fund camp for the next year. For our fundraiser this past year, we decided that we wanted to show a video that told the story of one of our campers and how camp has impacted their life. We were SO lucky to get connected with Reid and Best Made Videos - working with him was a dream come true. Camp is 100% volunteer run, so needless to say those of use who help put on camp and the fundraiser don't have a lot of extra time on our hands. My wife and I cannot recommend Best Made Videos enough! We did not initially plan on hiring a videographer for our wedding. However, COVID-19 happened, and months-and-months of wedding planning was turned on its head. A couple of weeks before our wedding we made the painful decision to significantly downsize the event. Our 150+ person wedding was now down to 30. Meaning, many loved ones would no longer be able to share in our wedding day. That is when we contacted Reid. During our first conversation, Reid demonstrated empathy and a willingness to get to work on our behalf. Within days, he scheduled a Zoom meeting to get to know us and what we wanted help with. Of primary importance, was live steaming the event so grandparents, aunts/uncles and friends could share in our special day in real-time. Reid confidently assured us he could make this happen, which took so much pressure off my wife and me. Fast-forward to our wedding day. Reid, and his assistant, were very timely and professional. They were inconspicuous as they set up their equipment and in no time, our wedding was being live streamed on YouTube for our friends and family who were not able to be there with us in person. By all accounts, the live stream worked perfectly. Family and friends were able to see and hear the ceremony without a hitch. Moreover, my wife and I barely even noticed them during the ceremony. They were very discrete. Reid also recorded the entire ceremony, reception, toasts, etc. He created a fabulous highlight video and provided raw footage that we will be able to relive for years to come. From a couple that originally wasn't planning to have a videographer to now husband & wife that are SO incredibly thankful we decided to have Reid and Best Made Videos as part of our special day! Our advice - definitely have a video done (it's well worth the $$ spent) and make sure it's Reid & Team that you use! My husband and I decided we wanted to have a videographer for our wedding. With just a little over a month before our wedding day the stress was on to find someone. We did a simple search online and found Reid, we skimmed his online profile, watched a few videos he had previously done, and even noticed he was accredited by the BBB. We liked what we saw and decided we'd give it a shot and see if he would be available for our date. We reached out to Reid, and he was able to get back to us in just minutes. I hired BMV to create two NON wedding videos, because I was so impressed by their reviews and because of the quality of Reid's responsiveness (immediate) and communications (transparent and concise). My mom, Elizabeth Elliott, is a poet and was in Seattle to give a poetry reading at the UW Bookstore, and BMV created a perfect video of that reading that is now on her website and will be such a gift to all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren going forward. He also shot a video of her presenting a philosophy of choice, Equobenity, that she created, and he did a great job on that video as well. Making a video is a multi-part process and Reid excels in all the tasks that go into every step of the process, from communications ahead of time to the actual shooting (if you miss something, it's gone forever, and Reid doesn't miss a single thing) to the editing process afterwards. He's also clear about timing and invoicing and is speedy -- I've never seen such fast turnaround from any professional. At the UW Bookstore during the reading, he was incredibly unobtrusive -- we were never aware of him filming, yet there are all these shots of the audience and people greeting her and asking her to sign books etc. -- and we never felt there was someone lurking with a giant camera, even though the space was fairly intimate. Extremely Satisfied We found Reid and Best Made Videos online after reading glowing reviews, and our experience was equally positive. Reid was happy to come to our house for a brief in-person meeting, and filled us in on all the details. Throughout the whole process, Reid was extremely responsive to emails, answering any questions we had promptly. Reid kept in close contact with us in the week leading up to the wedding, including doing a walkthrough of our venue with us and our photographer. This was important to us and made us feel at ease about the videography, amidst all the stress and chaos which comes the week before your wedding. Himself and his assistant came to the houses in which my wife and I were getting ready, and got some great footage early on. At the venue, they coordinated very well with our photographers, and got excellent footage, without it ever feeling like they were getting in the way. We took a little long to select the music for our video, but there was no pressure to get this done faster, and once we had selected some songs, the final edits were ready very quickly. We loved the artistic flair in our highlights video, which included a hilarious blooper reel of myself and my best man attempting, and mostly failing, to tie our ties when getting ready. I have been meaning to write this review for months but I knew it would be lengthy and I wasn't sure where to even start! Reid was simply amazing! He is a true professional and kept great communication throughout the whole process. Reid came to be our wedding videographer at Rosehill in Mukilteo on August 11. I found him because I posted my wedding needs/details on a Facebook group to which he reached out and I had a videographer within the day! He was very responsive via email so it made the process that much easier. As others have said, he is incredibly organized and on top of it! I knew I could count on him to be reliable and was so excited to have someone so highly rated helping us document our big day. The day of, Reid helped the bridal party and us to feel comfortable, know what we were doing, and took a variety of shots. He also helped us figure out the typical traditional things (ie feeding e/o cake and the garter toss) haha! Reid also finished our video literally within like 3 days!!! And I couldn't have been happier with it. My whole family had a great time sitting and re-watching the toasts and highlight videos. My husband and I got married on September 7th, 2024. A week and a half before our wedding day, our videographer had to cancel on us due to a family emergency. We had a large wedding with 240 people attending at multiple sites throughout Seattle and Best Made Video did an amazing job! Reid was incredibly responsive, attentive to detail, and fun throughout the process. From our first inquiry, to special requests after our wedding, he was always very patient and quick to help us understand our options. Their detailed survey helped us figure out what we wanted to capture and how we wanted to remember our wedding day. We didn't want people to feel like they were being followed around, so we were relieved that Reid was very engaged, but low key, and quick to make our family and friends feel comfortable. Being a gay couple, we also wanted to make sure our vendors (especially photographer and videographer) didn't make heteronormative assumptions or asks of us. Reid was completely inclusive and didn't make us feel at all like we had to play the roles of "bride" and "groom". After the wedding, the turnaround was very quick - only a couple of weeks to get our highlights video, full ceremony, and raw footage. When we asked for a special customized edit of some of the clips, Reid turned it around in a week during peak wedding season.
