My best friend and I visited in October 2019 & loved our massages. We did 70 minutes for $30 each and then tipped $10 each. Worth every single penny! Listening to the ocean waves and feeling the breeze just added to the experience. Fyi: they put a braid in your hair at the end so don't be alarmed when they start pulling at your hair. Also, we were both wearing one piece suits which they pulled down to fully access our backs. I felt safe the entire time. As well, I have a necklace that is extremely valuable to me for sentimental reasons as well as value. They took it off and placed it with my belongings under my bed. This spa is located directly on the beach. The smell of seaweed is nearby, but not too overwhelming once you get to the massage place. My boyfriend and I made a deal for 2, 60min massages for $40 with an added $10 tip. The massages were AMAZING--head to toe with the scent of burning white sage, clashing of the waves & aromatherapy. One of the best massages I have ever had! Relaxed setting in a shaded marquee on a quiet end of the beach. They have about 8 beds and a few other guests came and left as I lay there. Massage was 70 mins and they initially quoted 30-40 USD or 350 pesos. After reading the awesome reviews here I asked if they would do for 250 pesos and they agreed. I then left 50 pesos as a tip. If you are Australian, it is much better to pay for everything in pesos now rather than USD due to exchange rate. Massage was the perfect amount of pressure for me (medium) and the masseuse spent extra time on my sore shoulder without me asking. If pressure is too much for you, say más suave (softer). Best to go in your bikini as you will get a tiny bit of sand mixed in with the oil... free exfoliation :-) ENJOY! read more

My boyfriend and I came here twice in 1 week (Oct 2015) and this 5 star review is based only on Lily. I go for tons of massages, and trust me, this lady (if she is still working there), is the best. We paid about $30 total for 2 people (1 hour). The massage tables are on the beach, but are covered so the sun isn't beating down on you. This honestly was the best massage I've ever had. My bf and I both got massaged together and the woman that did him was fantastic as well. I really think it depends on who you get....and I will tell you why....We went back 2 days later for a second massage and asked for the same women that had previously worked on us and were told they had the day off. I ended up getting a woman who was super sweet but was awful at massaging. She was rough, kept digging her fingers into my bones, pressed way too hard and was just using quick and short strokes. I had bruising/broken blood vessels from her massaging too hard. I had to tell her a few times to not press so hard, but she didn't understand. None of the women there speak or understand the least bit of English. So, it really depends on who you get. For $15/ea for 1 hour on the beach, you can't beat it. We walked by this place around 5pm on a Thursday and they offered 70 minutes for 350 peso. My girlfriend and I both got a message. They wash your feet first and then use an oil for the full body message. All in all a very good message, and she was able to get most knots out of my back. My girlfriend also enjoyed hers however it was a bit too hard she said. Total time ended up being 60 minutes, with a facial at the end. Another beach massage place near The Royal was trying to charge $45. We went twice on our vacation. The masseuses are strong and thorough. Wish we would have gone everyday!
